Hello Pebbles fans! Eva Pizarro on the blog today sharing a quick and easy place card for your Thanksgiving table.

Decorate your Thanksgiving dinner table with leaves and thank you notes made with the new #SpookyBoo line from @pebblesinc. pc:@evapizarrov #madewithpebbles #pebblesinc

I love to include a personal message in place cards, especially during Thanksgiving, I think they add the perfect touch and they also embellish the table!

I created these quick Place Cards in minutes with the help of patterned paper and my die cut machine. I started by cutting some leaves in my favorite fall patterns from the Spooky Boo line.

Next, I cut slightly bigger leaves in orange and white and adhered the patterned paper leaves on top of the orange cardstock.

I used the Word Stickers from the Along the Way line to add a Thank you sentiment. The package has plenty “thank you” words so you only need one package for this project!

I wrote a few words in the white leaf and placed the colored leaf on top, I added a bit of glue on the steam to keep everything together.

You can add the recipients’ name in many ways: with your Happy Jig, with a brush pen, stamps, etc. I decided to use these lovely Thickers from the Along the Way line that coordinated perfectly with my papers!

And here are all my place cards done, they are very quick and I am sure all your guests are going to love the personalized notes.

THANKFUL for…printable cards

Hi everyone.  Heather Leopard is here with a new spin on our annual Thanksgiving “I Am Thankful” cards.  Today’s project also includes a process video, which I will post here this week.

Thankful for printable cards by @HeatherLeopard using @PebblesInc My Bright Life collection #madewithpebbles #printables #thanksgiving #thankful

Each year either my mom or I make cards for family members to fill out when we’re all together at Thanksgiving.  This year was my turn and I wanted to create cards that have space for a small photo of the person who completes the card along with short journaling spots.

I drew this up in PowerPoint and then printed it on my color printer. Easy peasy!  The square measures 1.5″ x 1.5″ so there’s just enough room to fit a small 1.25″ x 1.25″ photo. Then the other boxes are just the right size for a small phrase or even just one word, like “family.  You could even write out a long sentence or two utilizing the space in all the boxes together.

I added embellishments, like stickers and die cuts to each of the cards. I didn’t add much, more like just enough, because the true heart of the card is in what everyone writes on them.  I plan to place stickers next to the cards in case anyone wants to add more to theirs.  You could also wait to add embellishments and let your guests add their own.

Some of the embellishments are adhered directly to the card, while others, like this cute butterfly are popped up using 3D foam dots.

Here’s what the completed cards look like. I made 8 in total and they were just so quick and easy. I can totally see my guests adding more die cuts and stickers to these or maybe even some doodling.  I can’t wait to see what everyone writes.  Oh, that gives me an idea…I think I’ll turn these into a mini album. Stay tuned for another post on that!

Also, check back later this week for a process video on how these cards came together.

xoxo, Heather

Hi Pebbles Friends!

Welcome back for more Spooky Boo inspiration!

Amanda here, & today I am sharing my take on this week’s pumpkins theme! It’s super cute & fun!

“Trick Or Treat: Boo!”

Eeek! Isn’t this the cutest for Halloween?! Totally Spook-tacular! & just check out all those amazing pumpkins!

And here’s how easy it is to recreate this page….

1. Mount an 11″ x 11″ sheet of white cardstock onto pattern paper, Sweet Tooth.

2. Use your digital cutting machine to cut out the Paige Evans’ Pumpkin Wreath cut file in white cardstock. Back the pumpkins with pattern papers Hocus Pocus, & the reverse side of Sweet Tooth. Leave a few of the cut pumpkins ‘open’ and without any backing, too.

3. Use watercolor paints to outline a few orange & yellow circles in the center of the background, as shown above. Add a few tiny splatters for interest.

4. While the paint dries, attach your spooky Halloween photograph to the Pumpkin Wreath cut file.

5. Position wreath onto the background paper and painted circles, then glue into place.

6. Embellish the photo cluster (& bottom right quadrant of the layout) with Cardstock Shapes die cuts, and 6 x 12 Accent Stickers. You’ll spy lots of pumpkins here too!

7. Continue to embellish this quadrant with more stickers, including the fabulous Spooky Boo Puffy Stickers.

8. Use the Maggie Thickers to add a title – BOO! & add a few more Puffy Stickers for good measure!

Voila!

A really BOO-tiful Halloween memory documented, and featuring all.the.pumpkin.things!!!

Here’s a few close ups for you….

Pure pumpkin perfection!!!

I just adore the the super cute mummy and skeleton Accent Stickers here – adorable!

SO much spooky fun!

I hope I have inspired you to document your Halloween memories with our fabulous Spooky Boo! collection.

Thanks so much for visiting,

Happy Arty Days, Amanda xo

Scrapbooking Positive Thinking!

Hello Pebbles Friends! It’s Leanne here today sharing a layout featuring positive thinking! Or more so, featuring a reminder for me to refocus my energy into having a more positive frame of mind. Today, on World Mental Health Day, there can never be too much encouragement to foster self care. Our lives are constantly busy and our minds and mental health can often be pushed aside for more immediate chores surrounding us. Creating this layout became more of a challenge than I care to admit. One.. it was about me.. And two, making “Lemonade” from “Lemons” isn’t always my go-to attitude. But I am working on my own sense of positive thinking self care.

To recreate this page start with gathering supplies from the Pebbles Inc My Bright Life collection. What could be more perfect than the Lemons patterned paper? Gather also white paint and solid white cardstock.

step 1..

Trim the Sunflower patterned paper to 8.25″x10.75″ and lay flat to prepare surface area for a mixed media applied layer.

Using an old gift card (or same sized piece of cardboard), scrape white acrylic paint where the photo will be positioned. Allow to dry and apply a second layer of paint.

Once the white paint has dried, add a few splashes of black watercolour paint. To prevent the layout from continuing to buckle, adhere to solid white cardstock, which has been trimmed to 8.5″x11″. Carefully machine stitch around the outside edges, flattening the paper as you sew.

step 2..

Fussy cut lemon slice images from the patterned paper. When positioning the images, leave a place to secure the title above the photo. When fussy cutting, I removed the blue background and carefully cut along the outside edge, keeping the white border surrounding the lemon slices.

step 3..

Continue to add more layers of fussy cut images. The larger flower clusters from the Flower Market patterned paper, are perfect to fill gaps and add colour to the relatively neutral palette. Extensions to this embellishment layer also include the dimensional stickers with the “thinking of you” sentiment as a subtitle.

step 4..

The title work features gold foil thickers that sit comfortably in the space provided above the photo. Use a set square ruler to provide a straight guide to lining up the letters.

Note that the title doesn’t intrude on the fussy cut layers but rather frames and enhances the subtle message of positive thinking.

step 5..

Finally add your journaling. This can be as in depth as you like or kept very simple. Any private thoughts can be slipped behind the photo or written on the back of your layout. Just remember to be gentle on yourself. Mental health affects many people in many different ways and more often than not people suffer in silence.

Crafting is very therapeutic and a worthwhile endeavour. Perhaps writing down messages to yourself can help challenge a more positive thinking outlook in normal, everyday life. Thanks for visiting..x
