Bursting at the seams with excitement from Guest Designer Damaris!

Hi Dolls! How difficult has it been to contain my excitement for the past few months?  Very!  I’m thrilled to be working as a Guest Designer for Pebbles this month.  I’ve been keeping this huge secret in a vault, with very little Instagram hints… maybe… lol; and I’m ready to burst!

My name is Damaris Velazquez and I am a huge fan of keeping my hands busy with paper supplies.  I made a couple of projects to inspire you with today, so sit tight and grab a cup of your favorite beverage.  Mine is coffee… or as I like to put it, “Cawfee”.

How difficult has it been to contain my excitement for the past few months? Very! I'm thrilled to be working as a Guest Designer for Pebbles this month.

The first share is a layout I made using a ton of Pebbles’ “Patio Party” supplies, hand stitching, and my Silhouette Cameo V3 machine… (see below for a detailed list).  I tend to print my photos in black and white, allowing more emphasis and focus on the patterned paper and design.  Also, the layout has a more “vintage” feel; which I enjoy from time to time.  The scene was created to resemble a life size garden.  Maybe something out of Alice in Wonderland; full of flowers, grass, a large picket fence, lawn decor and even a giant watering can.

When I initially photograph my layouts, I tend to leave out the journaling.  I create specific spots on my layouts where I’m able to squeeze in my thoughts in without disturbing or interrupting the rest of the layout.  I used to leave out the journaling and “speak” about where it would go, but I feel photos help explain things better.  Which is why the clouds in the next few photos are blank.  I purposely used the grid “Just For You” patterned paper from the collection to help me keep my writing somewhat straight.

I cut the grass using a thin metal die and the word “Garden” was made with the free cut file “Paint Outline Alpha” (see below).  A lot of the extra little touches are die cuts and stickers, topped with beautiful dimensional butterfly stickers from the collection.

The majority of the work (believe it or not) was in the stitching.  Everything else came together fairly quickly.  Because there are so many beautiful patterns in this collections (both sides of each sheet), I tried to incorporate as many as I could on this first layout.  Cutting out words or elements and backing them up with patterned paper is one of the ways you can use your supplies and showcase the product on your layouts.  I love the whimsical feel of this page.  It’s clean, yet full of life; all at once.

One thing I will say is that I don’t always start out knowing what I want to create, but the Patio Party collection did inspire me to sketch something out before I got to cutting anything… here’s my original idea.  I was lucky enough to find the watering can cut file (to match my sketch) in the Silhouette shop, as well as a fence.

As promised, I’m sharing all the items used on my project.

Garden Layout – Pebbles “Patio Party” Supplies:
– Ephemera Cardstock
– Dimensional Stickers (butterflies)
– Wood Veneer Layered Stickers (printed)
– 12×12 Paper “Patio Life”
– 12×12 Paper “Citrus Sweet”
– 12×12 Paper “Just For You”
– 12×12 Paper “Bouquets”
– 12×12 Paper “Panels”
– 12×12 Paper “Ferns”
– 12×12 Paper “Mocktails”
– 12×12 Paper “Shady Spot”
– 12×12 Paper “Backyard Blooms”
– 12×12 Paper “Painted Beetles”
– 12×12 Paper “Breezy”
– Thicker Stickers (words printed cardstock)
– 6×12 Cardstock Stickers (icons & phrases)
– “Paint Outline Alpha” Free Cut File
– White Cardstock
– Needled & Thread
– Nuvo Crystal Drops (white)

Now let’s move on to the next page!

What’s great about Pebbles’ cardstock is that it comes with border strips.  On one side of the 12×12 sheet there’s a full strip of patterned paper (matching the collection), measuring less than an inch thick.  On the other side is the name of the sheet.  I pulled out the paper that had the striped edges and cut those off to make top and bottom borders on my next layout.

This next project is just as busy, but I used a dark background in order to make the colors come alive!  Again, I used my Cameo to cut the “Bubbles” free file (see below), and kept it white.  Incorporating cardstock stickers and ephemera, I was able to build my page nicely, and topped it off with a fun title, with just enough room for journaling.

To be honest, I could not decide between three different tags to use from the “Just For You” patterned paper.  All three colors and designs were perfect for this layout, so I ended up using all three in a cascading layer.  I’m still able to see the peekaboo colors / designs, without having too much clutter on my project.

I really had fun with this page… pulling from the colors in the photo.  It was a simple collaboration of greens, blues and pinks.  Take a look at the supplies used below.

Party BIG Layout – Pebbles “Patio Party” Supplies:
– Ephemera Cardstock
– Wood Veneer Layered Stickers (printed)
– 12×12 Paper “Patio Life”
– 12×12 Paper “Citrus Sweet”
– 12×12 Paper “Just For You”
– 12×12 Paper “Bouquets”
– 12×12 Paper “Tablescape”
– 12×12 Paper “From Me To You”
– 12×12 Paper “Ferns”
– 12×12 Paper “Scattered Posies”
– 12×12 Paper “Mocktails”
– 12×12 Paper “Backyard Blooms”
– 12×12 Paper “Recipe Cards”
– Thicker Stickers (words printed cardstock)
– 6×12 Cardstock Stickers (icons & phrases)
– “Bubbles” Free Cut File
– White Cardstock

When I’ve completed a project or two (if I’m using the same collection), I tend to gather the scraps remaining pieces to create with.  This is simply because I really don’t enjoy waste.  If I don’t use it for something, then I share it with my son or the teachers at my church for classroom projects.  This time around, though, I used the majority of the scraps from my first two layouts to make a couple of handmade cards.  I wanted something easy to build, yet pretty.  The “Patio Party” collection allowed me to do just that.

Handmade Cards – Pebbles “Patio Party” Supplies:
– Single-sided 6×6 Paper Pad
– Ephemera Cardstock
– Dimensional Stickers (flowers)
– Wood Veneer Layered Stickers (printed)
– Puffy Stickers Words & Icons
– Safety Pins (gold)
– 12×12 Paper “Bouquets”
– 12×12 Paper “Glow”
– 12×12 Paper “Patio Life”
– 12×12 Patterned Paper scraps
– White String

I appreciate you taking the time to visit with me today, and hope you have found some inspiration for your next project.

Please feel free to leave a comment and follow me on social media. I am very active on Instagram… you will always find me sharing behind the scenes work and tips there as well.

Have a wonderful rest of your week!

Patio Party and The Art of Gift Wrapping!

Hi Pebbles Friends!

Amanda here, and for party theme week I wanted to share the joy & spirit of giving! Or, to be more precise, the beautiful art that is gift wrapping! Our bright and beautifully designed Patio Party collection is simply perfect for creating the most desirable looking little gifts!

Sigh! Who wouldn’t want to receive these pretty packages?!! And all it takes is a few pretty papers and a lil imagination!

Here’s a super quick how-to…..

1.  Select your favorite pattern paper designs. For the sample below I am using the sweet TABLESCAPE paper.

2. Wrap your gift,  minding to fold your edges slowly and carefully to avoid paper tears, and seal with your preferred clear tape. My package was only tiny, so I trimmed a 2 inch length off one side.

3. Using my left over trim (reverse side of paper TABLESCAPE), I created a ‘runner’ through the center of my gift.

4. Attach a cute tag! There are so many gorgeous options for you to snip out from the JUST FOR YOU pattern paper. I chose the Happy Day tag because it coordinated perfectly with the TABLESCAPE paper.

5. Attach the tag, and embellish the package with Ephemera, Dimensional Stickers and even those oh-so-pretty laurel leaf Gold Safety Pins!

Voila!

Simple! Sweet! And just that extra bit special for your someone special!

Here’s a few more ideas to inspire you with….

Isn’t this divine?!! Created using the floral pattern paper, BACKYARD BLOOMS.  Oh-so-pretty!

And how about this lemon delight from our CITRUS SWEET paper……

This totally warms my heart! I don’t know if I could even bear to open this one up!!!

Here’s one for all the flamingo lovers…

Pardon the pun, but why don’t you give beautiful gift wrapping a flamin’ go! So super fun and sweet!

Carefully wrapped gifts take only a moment to create, but leave a long lasting impression on the recipient!

So.much.eye.candy!!!

I hope I have inspired you to delve into the art of gift wrapping!

And yes, our patterned papers are 12 inch squares – so these particular samples were only small gifts. For larger gifts, try Kraft wrapping paper with our Patio Party embellishments! Perfect!

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Happy Arty Days, Amanda xo

Hello Pebbles’s fans! It’s Eva Pizarro here on the blog sharing how to decorate your table for a small family celebration.

Decorate your next party with these easy decorations made by @evapizarrov using @pebblesinc new line #PatioParty #pebblesinc #madewithpebbles

In my family, every Friday it’s Pizza and Movie Night; we make the dough from scratch and let our little boy help us prepare the pizzas. It is a great tradition and every now and then I like to decorate a bit more and make it even more special.

I used the Patio Party line and did all the decor in a few minutes thanks to the lovely embellishments and my We R Memory Keepers tools.

To make the cupcake wrappers I used my Diy Party Board and this lovely woven paper from Patio Party.

As toppers, I simply glued some die cuts to paper straws with my USB Glue Gun.

The cupcakes look so much better with just a few embellishments!

To decorate my paper straws I punched a few circles with my Clear Cut Punch and used my craft knife to make two parallel cuts in the middle of the circle.

I used another Clear Cut Punch to add a little tag with our names and a 3D butterfly in the middle.

The butterflies are truly beautiful, they have two clear layers and gold accents that make them shine.

To finish my decor I added the menu with Letterboard. I decorated it with some leftover flowers and leaves from this project and also included some die cuts and layered stickers.

The flowers give a great touch to the Letterboard! to attach them simply use some 3D dots and when you are done, remove them and use them for another project!

With this gorgeous line, even the simplest meal can become a little party! I hope you give it a try!

Little Cutie Floral Wreath Scrapbooking Layout

Hi friends, it’s Heather Leopard and I am here today with a labor of love with this floral wreath scrapbooking layout.  If you like fussy cutting and if you like mixing and matching die cuts and flowers, this is a layout for you.  Take a look at the project and then check back next week for the process video I created for this project.

Floral Wreath scrapbooking layout by @heatherleopard using @pebblesinc #patioparty collection #scrapbooking #madewithpebbles #scrapbook #flowers #mixedmedia

All those flowers came from one gorgeous piece of patterned paper from the Patio Party collection. That’s a lot of fussy cutting, don’t you think?

Want to know a little secret??? I didn’t actually fussy cut all those flowers. I used my Silhouette CAMEO and Pixscan to trace and cut all those flowers.  I can’t say it really saved that much time since I had to set it up and trace it, clean it up, cut and weed it but it sure did save my hands from getting tired.

Floral Wreath scrapbooking layout by @heatherleopard using @pebblesinc #patioparty collection #scrapbooking #madewithpebbles #scrapbook #flowers #mixedmedia

To create this floral wreath layout, I used two pieces of patterned paper for the base, cutting an 8″ circle from the middle of the top sheet and layering it over the 2nd paper.  Then, I applied gesso and spray mists to give the background a bit of texture and color. Once dried, I stitched around the circle 3 times.

I also used a cute file from Paige Evans. It’s an adorable floral / leaf bundle, which I cut out of white cardstock and backed the leaves with green patterned paper while keeping the flowers plain.  I did that because I knew I was going to stack the fussy cut flowers over the top. I like the mix of materials here.  I also added a few fussy cut gold butterflies to the mix.

I left plenty of room to add a title and journaling and then sprinkled a few gold hearts around the openly stitched areas so they wouldn’t feel lonely.

Please check back next week for my follow up blog post, which will include the process video, showing how I scanned the flowers all the way through the finishing touches.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

xoxo, Heather

Quilt-like background for a scrapbook layout with Terhi

Hey there lovely Pebbles fans! Terhi Koskinen here with a masculine but yet quite tender scrapbook layout.
The inspiration to create a layout like this came from my last scrapbook layout for Pebbles blog (here’s a link). I thought the stripes I last time used for journaling could be used as a fun background pattern, too. I’m usually quite neat person, so quilt-like pattern going straight vertically and horizontally felt like a fun idea!

The stripes are 1/2 inch wide and 2,5 or 1 inch tall. I cut them all first, then started to create the pattern adhering one by one with double sided tape. Usually I love adhering almost everything with 3D foam, but I thought this background needed to be flat.

There are many beautiful leaves in the Patio Party Ephemera pack, but I wanted try my personal skills and draw and cut some leaves to decorate the page. White gel pen was a clever idea to draw little details on them, now you actually see there are leaves here and there on the layout. Whilst I was having good time cutting everything, I also cut out couple of bugs. They’re looking playful and fun all around the lower part of the page. The bugs, as well as the cut out flowers, are adhered with 3D foam to build up dimension for this page.

Behind the photograph you can spy several paper layers, and that’s to build up dimension, too. The photograph of my husband and our little puppy includes brown, black and lots of green, so all those colors are repeated on the layout – with a small amount of pink too as our furry friend is she.

I hope you find my layered layout inspiring! Thank you for coming here today!
