Start by cutting four 1 1/4″ strips from coordinating patterned papers:

And cut a 5″ square from white cardstock. Line up the paper strips and adhere to cardstock.

After the strips are all attached, flip over the square and trim off the excess:

Choose some coordinating die-cut pieces:

Night Night, gift giving Baby Shower Decor

Hello Pebbles Friends! Leanne here today, sharing a few ideas for dressing up those gift giving, baby shower boxes at the next party you attend. This décor will make your gift giving appear even more special from the effort you’ve added to personalise the wrapping! Who doesn’t love just that little bit extra, and the new release Night Night collection from Pebbles will simply shout WOW!

Pebbles Inc Night NIght Baby Shower Gift Giving Decor

To get started with this project you will need to gather your supplies. Along with a few select pieces from Night Night, I have purchased simple kraft and white coloured boxes from the dollar store. Add some twine, ric rac and paper clips, and you are ready to start decorating.

In this tutorial I will share with you three different ways to dress up a plain box before gifting it to someone special.

Box 1 | step 1. Trim three lengths of patterned paper. Each strip is 0.5″ x 12″.

I have layered the papers with the darkest colour on top and the lightest on the bottom to create an ombre effect. Adhere with doubles sided tape.

step 2. Measure and score fold lines to fit the size of your box. These fold lines allow for a cleaner presentation.

step 3. Secure the patterned paper with twine.

step 4. To personalise the gift, use the mini alphabet punchboard from We R Memory Keepers and create the initial (if baby name is known), of the gift recipient. I’ve chosen a silver foil to complement the paper pieces from the printed cardstock shapes.

step 5. Secure the cardstock shape and the punched alpha to the twine already wrapped around the box. Box one is now complete.

Box 2 | step 1. There are so many options to help embellish your gift box in the printed cardstock shapes package however, I’ve selected the baby romper/playsuit to replicate a washing on a clothes line.

step 2. Draw a pencil line around the outside of your selected paper piece. A handy tip is to draw on the reverse side of the paper you want to have showing. Carefully fussy cut around the traced shape. The size of your box will determine the number of paper pieces you will need.

step 3. Wrap a piece of twine and colour coordinated ric rac around the outside of the box. Using mini paperclips, secure the cut out paper pieces.

step 4.  Add a second cardstock shape as your sentiment. Punch a whole in it and secure to the box with the existing twine. Box 2 is now complete.

Box 3 | step 1. Have any leftover pieces of scrap paper? Here’s a great way to start using them up. Trim a stash of narrow paper strips and cut a notch from the bottom of each piece.

step 2. Punch a hole at the top of each paper strip.

step 3. Thread each paper strip onto a piece of string or twine.

step 4. Wrap the twine around the outside of the box.

step 5. Using the Grayson foil foam letters, add a sentiment or word phrase at the top of the box. Box 3 is now completed.

I hope these simple ideas help you with your next gift giving, baby shower décor event! Night Night promises to have everyone smiling with delight upon receiving it in this form. Thanks for visiting.

Forever My Always, Valentine!

Hi Pebbles Fans!

Amanda here, & today I am sharing some Valentine’s Day card inspiration with our gorgeous Forever My Always collection! I just adore this holiday! Nothing more beautiful than proclaiming your love (or secret admiration) to that special someone! I am so blessed to have three very special people in my life; a loving husband, and two darling children! I have created a trio of Forever My Always cards to surprise them with….

Oh aren’t they something?!  3 pattern papers, three very pretty cards!

Here’s how to recreate them!

Start with trimming up pattern paper, XOXO Quotes. The 3×4 journal cards on this paper make card making a dream! Select which sentiments work best for your beloved – everything in this line coordinates beautifully, so any of the XOXO Quote cards will be perfect!

Tip: I even trim the reverse (pattern side) of the barcode strip, to use in my cards too!

My card ‘planning’ starts off by arranging pattern papers with the trimmed 3×4 journal cards, and a few pieces of ephemera….

I like to shuffle my pattern papers around and make sure I’m happy with my design before I start gluing.

I just LOVE the combination of the diagonal stripe paper, Follow Your Heart and floral print, Sprinkled Blossoms, so I decide to use them as my feature papers on all 3 cards.

Here’s my first card which is for my One True Love, “I Think About You A Lot”….

SO pretty!

To recreate:

1.Trim pattern paper Follow Your Hear to 8 1/4″ wide x 6″ long. Score and fold in half to create your 4″ x 6″ card.

2. Trim pattern paper Sprinkled Blossoms to 4″ wide x 3 1/2 ” long.

3. Adhere pattern papers together ( as shown below)

4. Tape the journal card and ephemera into position. Use adhesive foam dots for the sentiment, to make it ‘pop’.

5. Embellish with a sewn button, and some fabulous Forever My Always 6 x 12 Stickers. Voila!

Absolutely perfect, indeed!

Next up is this fun Valentine for my tween-age daughter, “Heart Mail”…..

Still loved up and oh-so-pretty,  but much cooler for a young girl!

Here’s how:

1. Trim pattern paper Sprinkled Blossoms to 8 1/4″ wide x 6″ long. Score and fold in half to create card base.

2. Trim pattern paper Follow Your Heart to 3 3/4″ wide x 5 1/2″ long.

3. Attach pink satin ribbon to Follow Your Heart Paper, & then attach the XOXO Quotes sentiment card. Using the same ribbon, add a bow to the top of the 3 x 4 card. (shown below)

Tip: To make this card less formal and more ‘young ‘n’ fun’, I use my Becky Higgins Project Life Corner Rounder Punch on my 3 x 4 card. Such a simple, but effective result!

4. Using thick foam tape, attach the Follow Your Heart embellished paper to the Sprinkled Blossoms card base.

5. Embellish with the Heart Mail 6 x 12 Sticker & a few buttons from your sewing kit.

Love it!

Last, but by no means least, is this lovely card for my darling Mister 5, “You’re Pretty Much My Favorite Person”….

This is just gorgeous!

1. Trim white cardstock to 8 1/4″ wide x 6″ long. Score and fold in half to create card base.

2. Trim pattern paper Sprinkled Blossoms to 4″ wide x 3 3/4″ long.

3. Trim pattern paper Follow Your Heart to 3 1/2″ wide x 5 1/2″ long.

4. Tape the Sprinkled Blossoms paper to the bottom of the cardstock base. Attach satin ribbon to Follow Your Heart paper, and then tape this pattern paper over the top of the Sprinkled Blossoms and white cardstock base, as shown below.

5. Apply foam dots to the XOXO Quotes 3 x 4 card, and then position over the ribbon trim.

6. Embellish with lace trim, button & twine and another of those fabulous 6 x 12 Stickers.

Voila! Three papers, 3 very special Valentine’s Day cards.

I hope I have inspired you to get creating with our beautiful Forever My Always collection!

Happy Arty Days, Amanda xo

Guest Blogger Nicole: Love you more!

Good morning everyone! I am so excited to be guest designing for Pebbles Inc. this month! I just love Pebbles paper products. Seriously, the embellishments and papers are all so fab. I’ll be honest, I opened my box and sighed with contentment, looking at all the gorgeous contents.
This month, I had the pleasure of working with the Forever My Always. Since I didn’t want to leave anything out, I used a little of everything! I started by creating this layout of my hubby and I. I took these selfies on New Years Eve. They aren’t perfect photos, but I still love these photos. What a great night!

I love the cut apart sheet with all the sentiments so I hand-cut a few of the sentiments and used them to create a fun, grid layout. Then I tucked a few die cuts and stickers here and there to fill in the white space.

I tore the xoxo paper to create a nice border for the layout. I love incorporating a variety of textures and shapes on my projects; totally fun!

Every now and then, I like to staple my embellishments on my projects. I like how it looks.

Here’s another layout I created of my little man and I. I love this boy more than anything in this world. He is quite a kid. Notice the layers… again. I LOVE playing with patterned paper and embellishments. It’s my favorite thing to do in my spare time.

I couldn’t help it. I had to use the pencil and what better way to use it then to add it at the bottom next to my journaling.

I layered the die cuts using a foam square then added a puffy heart sticker. LOVE these itty bitty hearts!

To help pull the layout together, I added a big title at the top of the layout. I hand cut the “I think about you. A lot.” sentiment from a die cut and adhered it at the top of the gold title using foam squares.

I really like how this layout turned out. So cute…so us. And here are a few cards I created with this adorable collection! These cards are all 4″x4″. I find this size to be easier to work with when making cards. I used several pieces of die cuts and stickers to create these cards. I cut the background from 6×6 paper pads.

I hope inspired you today with my projects. I had a wonderful time creating these projects for today’s guest post. Thank you Pebbles Inc. for giving me the opportunity to guest design for you!
