Hello, Pebbles friends! My name is Tessa Buys and I am so excited to be here today! Guess what? I’m expecting a little girl in early February. While everyone else may have Halloween on the brain, it was so very nice to sit down and create for Valentine’s Day. Now that I have some cute decor and Valentines made for my kids, I won’t have to worry about it once baby arrives. And the best part about this project is that I was able to complete the entire thing on my bed, watching my favorite show, with the help of a couple of trusty We R Memory Keepers tools: the Banner Punch Board and the Alphabet Punch Board.

First of all, how adorable is the Forever Always collection? Oh my goodness, it’s the perfect Valentine’s Day line. The papers were a dream to work with and the embellishments made accessorizing a breeze. First, I cut out banner pieces using the Banner Punch Board. Super quick and easy with this tool! These particular banners are 6.5 inches tall.

Next, I used the Alphabet Punch Board to create five X’s and five O’s out of contrasting patterned papers. I assembled the banner by stringing the pennants and adhering the X’s and O’s with foam dots. To embellish, I adhered a few rosettes and several die-cuts—all attached with a little metallic gold thread tucked behind.

I love to make my kids Valentines and, while I had all these gorgeous supplies at my fingertips, I went ahead created four quick and cute cards. I adhered a 4 x 5.25 inch panel on each card. Next, I chose embellishments and sentiments, keeping in mind I wanted my three boys to get cards that weren’t too frilly, but my that my daughter would really enjoy all the pretty florals in the collection.

For the “Love You” card, I added a die-cut heart and sticker tag (complete with tied-on ribbon), then applied the “love you” Thickers. Splatters of black ink and a black and gold color palette make this one a bit more masculine for my 14-year old. My 8-year old will receive the red card, as he still loves getting X’s and O’s from his mama.

The “Hello I Love You Truly” card is going to my 13-year old. Again, the black and gold with a touch of blue is great for my guy, and the added detail of blue backing the openings of the Thickers is a nice touch that I love, even if he might not notice. The floral card is for my little girl. I already know she will love the combo of stickers and die-cuts because she already tried raiding my product stash for these pieces!

If you need a break from Halloween creating, or maybe you just aren’t ready to dive into Christmas, go for Valentine’s Day! The Forever Always collection is so fun to work with, and you’ll feel great for being so ahead of the game! Happy creating! And thank you, Pebbles, for the chance to play with such great stuff!

I live in Sacramento, California with my husband, three boys, and little girl (with one on the way!). They’ve been the darlings of my scrapbook pages since I started a family, but I had been playing with paper and glue long before they came along. I currently design for We R Memory Keepers and Elle’s Studio. When I’m not documenting life with pretty papers and embellishments, I’m getting creative in the studio teaching dance and setting choreography on competition students. I’m obsessed with the color yellow, short hair, and floral prints. Thanks to Pebbles for the wonderful opportunity to guest design!
Wow Tessa, what an amazing project!! Love the banner so much!
So glad you were able to guest design for Pebbles!! Hope to see more of you!
