Hi!  Renee here to share a trio of Happy 4th of July cards using the America the Beautiful collection.  The 4th of July holiday is coming up in just a few days.  These cute cards can be created in thirty minutes with their fun and simple designs.  Plus, you can mail them out to friends and family with no extra postage required.  These cards measure 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.

I trimmed the Patriotic Posies (woodgrain and flowers) and the American Blooms (blue stars) pattern papers to 4″ x 5 ¼”.  I used a corner rounder punch on all the pattern papers as well as the white card bases.  I adhered the pattern papers to the card bases and added machine stitching.

I heat embossed the “celebrate” and “let’s celebrate!” sentiments on two of the cards.

My first Happy 4th of July card was embellished with a 6″ lollipop stick cut in half.  I added pinwheel Die-Cuts to them along with some Golden Color Mist.

Here,  I simply adhered a flower Sticker with the “I Pledge Allegiance” Die-Cut card.

My last Happy 4th of July card was embellished with Glitter Star Stickers.  I love the way they sparkle!

A Red, White & Blue Washi Tape Stars Layout

Hello everyone! It’s Monique here today sharing a fun red, white & blue washi tape stars layout! Two years ago when we visited our daughter in Louisiana (during her foreign exchange year) we seized the opportunity to tour the state and of course we visited New Orleans as well. What an amazing city! We had such an awesome time and saw many of the famous sights. For my hubby and daughter one of the highlights was going to the jazz festival where they saw Ed Sheeran (my daughter is a huge fan) and Jerry Lee Lewis (my husband’s favorite!). I was so happy when my husband showed me this photo he took of my daughter and if you take a good look you can see Ed Sheeran as well.

To create this red, white & blue washi tape stars layout I used Pebbles’ “America The Beautiful” collection. This collection has the exact right colors  and designs for a layout like this! I especially love the package with all the washi tapes, there are six sheets of washi tape in it!

When I saw this package of washi tapes I knew I wanted to use it for my layout and soon I got the idea of creating large stars with it. Stars seemed appropriate as my hubby and daughter were at the festival to see their stars. Here’s a quick look at how I created the red, white & blue washi tape stars.

I printed a sheet with stars in different sizes using Microsoft Word. The stars can be found under “insert” and then “forms”. I’m using the Dutch version of MS Word so maybe the wording is different, but here you can see where you can find them.

and this is how the printed stars look:

After printing the stars I taped the sheet on the window with the stars looking away from me, so the back was aimed at me. Because the sheet was taped to the window I could see through the paper and still see the stars. Now I covered the back of the stars with different pieces of washi tape:

When I was done I removed the sheet from the window and turned it around so I could see the printed stars again. Now I simply cut them out using a sharp pointed pair of scissors:

In no time at all I was ready and the result is so fun! And if the star doesn’t look as good as you had hoped just peel off the piece of tape you don’t like and add another and cut or fold them into the right shape.

Now comes the fun part. Designing your final page and deciding where to place the stars. I printed a huge photo and selected papers and Thickers I wanted to use and got started.

After the photo was matted I placed it on a sheet of patterned paper which I wanted to use for the background and just began placing the title and stars without adhering them.

Once I was happy with the design I adhered everything. After adding a bit of journaling, a die-cut, a date stamp and a few drops of glimmer mist I decided I was done!

And this is my red, white & blue washi tape stars layout! Hope you like it!

Red, White and Blue Celebration Cards!

Hello Pebbles Friends! It is Leanne here today, sharing with you some Red, White and Blue Celebration cards. What better way to celebrate and feel patriotic than with a little colour embellishment.

I initially started by creating backgrounds for my cards. These water colour bases help to make the patterned paper pop on the white cardstock.  The first card celebrates the use of patterned paper.

step 1.

Select a patterned paper that can be fussy cut. The Simple Life Bougainvillea paper was trimmed to fit a piece of white cardstock measuring 3.75″x5.75″. The white cardstock was given a royal blue water colour wash.

step 2.

Layer the white cardstock on top of a matching blue cardstock.

step 3.

Add small amounts of foam tape to the fussy cut flowers.

step 4.

Complete your card by adhering the blue cardstock to a 4″x6″ card base and add a small sentiment in the lower left corner.

…………………….

To create this next card, you will need a watercolour wash that resembles fireworks in bright red and blue.

step 1.

Gather your supplies of red, white and blue patterned papers. Trim each sheet allowing only a small border to show between layers.

step 2.

Punch or trim several different sized stars to layer on top of the water colour background.

step 3.

Add foam tape to the red stars to create dimension and interest.

step 4.

Complete the card by adhering the layers of patterned paper to a cardstock base. Add a sticker sentiment with foam tape.

……………………..

To create the final card I decided I would take my red, white and blue celebration theme quite literal. Why not add the words directly to the card.

step 1.

Using the We R Memory Keepers Mini Alphabet Punchboard  punch out the letters to spell “RED”.

step 2.

Add the letters to a gray water colour wash and layer onto a blue patterned paper.

step 3.

Complete the card with white thickers, an ampersand die cut from Simple Life and some fussy cut blue flowers. Mount the layers of patterned paper onto a cardstock base and add an extra sentiment sticker.

Hopefully these cards inspire you to now create and have your own red, white and blue celebration! Thanks for visiting.

Hi everyone.  Heather Leopard is here today to discuss my favorite topic – 4th of July DIY Party Decor.  Whether your planning a mini celebration or large scale with all your family and friends, these ideas are sure to create a SPARK!

Red, white and blue Patriotic celebration themed party decor by @heatherleopard using @PebblesInc patterned papers. #madewithpebbles #heatherleopard #patriotic #4thofjuly #4thofjulyparty #patrioticparty

The theme for this particular party is red, white and blue for Independence Day here in the USA but all you have to do with swap out colors and patterns and you have a recipe for success.

4th of July DIY Party Decor

Today’s party details include a fun backdrop, table decor and oh so fun firecracker cupcakes because it’s not a party without a “poppin” dessert!

4th of July Banner

It’s always fun to create a fun backdrop, whether it’s for your tablescape or a photo booth.  Here’s just one idea and what you’ll need:

  • patterned paper
  • burlap
  • “USA” alphas – Thickers or die cut

Red, white and blue Patriotic celebration themed party decor by @heatherleopard using @PebblesInc patterned papers. #madewithpebbles #heatherleopard #patriotic #4thofjuly #4thofjulyparty #patrioticparty

To create this banner, cut two 2-inch red circles and five 2-inch blue circles, two 1.5-inch blue starbursts, five 1.5-inch red starbursts, seven 1-inch stars. Those will make up the “dividers” for the banners.  Adhere them together as shown above.

For the USA, cut three 3-inch red circles and three 2.5-inch blue starbursts. Adhere the blue starburst over the red and add “USA” alphas.  Using your sewing machine, stitch the banner together  as you would garland, backing the “USA” bits with burlap triangles.

Firecracker Cupcakes

While you’re baking up your favorite cupcakes, let’s talk about how to make them POP! Here’s what you’ll need:

  • white icing
  • red, white, blue sprinkles
  • medium sized marshmallows
  • red candy melts
  • twizzlers or candles
  • patterned paper

First, determine how many cupcakes you’ll have. Set aside one medium sized marshmallow for each cupcake. Also cut your twizzlers down to 3-inches and set aside.  Dip each marshmallow in the red melted candy and immediately stick the twizzler in the top before the candy melt dries. Add white icing and sprinkles to your cupcakes. Add the red marshmallow firecracker to the top.

Create festive wrappers for your cupcakes.  These just make it a bit more fun and decorative because they match the decor perfectly but you can also purchase fun wrappers.

You may consider adding additional decor.  I added burlap and bows to the floral decor and cupcake stand and then I brought in additional elements, like wooden stars, United States cut-out, etc. to tie it all together!

Quick Summer Gift

Hey there Pebbles friends and fans, Becki here to share with you a quick summer gift that I created using the Sunshiny Days collection. Summer has finally arrived in my neck of the woods. The kids are out of school and we’re ready to take it easy. During the Summer, I like to have a few gifts on hand to take to parties, bbq’s and reunions. I created this quick summer gift within just a few minutes! The Sunshiny Day’s collection made this project SO easy! All you’ll need is some patterned paper and a few stickers. Quick Summer Gift by @jbckadams for @pebblesinc #summergift #madewithpebbles #pebblesinc #beckiadamsBefore I cut the patterned paper for this tag, I actually put the stickers in place. By placing the stickers in place first, I was able to trim around them without wasting any patterned paper. I chose “Have a cool Summer” for the sentiment on this tag. For this first project, I tied the tag onto a bottle of raspberry lemonade. You could also use the same sentiment for a box of popsicle, ice cream, or another cold beverage. Because this tag is on a gift, I made sure to add extra adhesive to each sticker so they will all stay in place until the gift is given. I wanted to give the tag a little bit of shimmer so I sprinkled some teal shimmery ink on top of the tag. Quick Summer Gift by @jbckadams for @pebblesinc #summergift #madewithpebbles #pebblesinc #beckiadamsI punched a hole in the upper left corner of the tag and tied the tag onto the bottle of lemonade. It’s that easy! Next time you need a quick summer gift, just create a quick tag and tie it onto a “cool” gift. Thank you for stopping by the Pebbles blog, I’ll see you again soon!!
