With Mother’s Day right around the corner, you might be looking for a quick Mother’s Day gift to create. Well, it’s your lucky day, because I have a fun little idea to share with you today! I used my Silhouette to cut a little 3-d flower pot, decorated it, and filled it with a sweet little gift. Easy peasy, and I think my mom friends will love it! Do you give gifts to your mom friends? I think it’s a fun way to recognize our neighbors, friends, and teachers too…so I do it! Plus, everyone loves an unexpected gift…and a gift from a friend on Mother’s Day is usually pretty unexpected! I love seeing the surprised smiles on their faces! Anyway, here’s a look at the finished quick Mother’s Day gift trio:
Here’s how the quick Mother’s Day gift comes together:
First, choose some pretty papers. I chose to use some from the Simple Life collection…I love that they have pretty designs, but in kind of non-traditional colors and patterns for Mother’s Day. Using a Silhouette Cameo, cut the 3d flower pot pieces:
Next, assemble the pot using super sticky red tape:
Choose some of the coordinating ephemera pieces, stickers, and wood veneer to embellish the front:
Now just add a little gift inside the cute pot! The possibilities are endless — anything that will fit inside the 3d pot will be a welcome treat. I thought these little succulents were too adorable!
And candy is ALWAYS a good choice!
See, just like I told you – quick, easy, and pretty darn cute!
Happy Mother’s Day!
