Hello everyone! Eva Pizarro here today bringing you a tutorial on how to use your washi tape booklet to create a colorful and fun background.
Washi tape booklets are included in almost every Pebbles collection, I love them because you get 24 different designs and because they come in sheets you can cut them to the exact measurement you need.
To make this background I cut my washi tape pages in different sizes.
I also used a flower lace background (I got he inspiration from this cute pink patterned paper from this collection). I cut 2 designs: one with the lace and one with only the outer edge.
Place your strips randomly on the background paper. I doesn’t matter if they overlap or if you don’t fill every little gap, you won’t notice those details in the end.
Cut the excess of washi tape or bend it inwards.
Place your die cut shape on top matching the edges.
Now all you have to do is add a few embellishments: I used die cut and a few puffy flowers near my picture. The Tealightful collection is perfect for your spring photos!
For my title I used the alphas from the Sunshiny Days line, aren’t those cute? I love the ombre effect!
To write my journaling I did a hidden tag with my Tab Punch Board by our friends at We R Memory Keepers, that tool is very versatile!
And here’s my final layout! I think the background look great! I love the subtle effect with all those little pops of color! Get ready to scrap your spring moments with this cute collection!
If you like this collection please check this other layout I did a few weeks ago!
Have a great day!
