Hi friends, it’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing a fun little set of St. Patrick’s Day cards! Even though Pebbles doesn’t have a new collection that is “St. Patrick’s Day” themed, it was fun pulling papers from “Woodland Forest” and “Warm & Cozy” collections, plus a few older Jen Hadfield collections, to create these lucky little leprechaun cards! I’m excited to sit these out for my kiddos on the morning of St. Patty’s Day with their table full of green treats – a fun tradition at our house.
Here’s a peek at the papers I used to create the cute leprechaun paper piecing, which, by the way, is a Silhouette cut file from Pebbles In My Pocket!
Here’s a look at the individual pieces before I assembled the cute little guy.
I started with the cute little top hat. I layered a black band and golden buckle on top of the plaid hat. I used foam adhesive squares to place the four leaf clover right next to the buckle.
The face is placed on top of the beard. When I have little tiny pieces to glue on, I like to dip a paper piercer in glue, then lightly dab it onto the area where I need to place the small piece. That’s what I did here to add the teeny tiny eyes.
And now it’s time to put our little guy together!
I chose this gold foiled polka dot paper for the background (think little gold coins, haha):
And I placed both the face and the hat right on top! Then the entire piece is placed on a white card base.
For the inside, I printed some text onto white cardstock, trimmed it, then completed the sentiment with gold Thickers:
Here’s a peek at the inside and outside together:
I hope YOU have lots of luck this year – and a good way to spread the luck is by sharing some fun cards on St. Patrick’s Day!
