Simple Life Notice Board

Hi Friends! It’s Leanne here today sharing a really cute DIY Noticeboard that takes only minutes to put together! I plan to use mine in the kitchen to help out with our family meals roster and the new Simple Life collections is the perfect accompaniment.

Create your own noticeboard with @PebblesInc #SimpleLifecollection and wooden photo frame as shared by @leanne_allinson.

My first step was deciding on what size frame I would use and then gathering my supplies. I love that a white wooden frame works with the patterned papers I’ve chosen for this project.

Create your own noticeboard with @PebblesInc #SimpleLifecollection and wooden photo frame as shared by @leanne_allinson.

To prepare the frame, I have removed the inner mounting blocks/frames behind the glass and measured the outside edge. This allows me to trim a piece of patterned paper to size for my background.

Once the patterned paper (Aztec), is secured to the base of the inner mounting blocks/frames, I selected a few pieces of suitable ephemera from the same collection.

As I want to use my noticeboard for the purpose of a menu, the die cut phrase “eat” and the cake image were perfect.

After adhering the die cut pieces to the noticeboard, I have fussy cut individual flowers from the Magnolias patterned paper.

Using the foil phrase stickers I’ve added extra interest by layering them across the image of the cake. The fussy cut flowers have also added dimension by mounting them with foam dots to create shadows within the glass and frame.

Finally, before replacing the glass and adding everything back into the photo frame, I have created a small triangular banner to the top corner. This was created simply by trimming six (6) triangles from a 1″ strip of paper (Wildflowers), inking the edges with a similar colour to the paper and then machine stitching the two rows of triangles together.

Once everything for the frame has been assembled back together, grab a white board marker and write on the glass whatever you desire. Simply wipe off with a tissue or soft cloth to clean away any old messages.  This project will not only look pretty sitting in my kitchen but will also, hopefully, help me become more organised with my weekly meal plans! Thanks for visiting..x

Hi everyone.  Heather Leopard is here to tell you how I survived a strong desire to fussy cut a bunch of teeny tiny flowers from the Wildflowers paper for this scrapbooking layout.

Fussy cut flowers layout by @heatherleopard using the new #SimpleLife collection by @pebblesinc #madewithpebbles #pebblesinc #scrapbook #layout

Yep, I was immediately drawn to this paper containing all these beautiful wildflowers, including bluebonnets.  That sure did make this Texas gal’s heart happy. I just knew I had to “pick” each flower to use on my layout but there was no way was I going to attempt to cut them out by hand. No way, no how! Enter Silhouette PixScan…

The full tutorial for this is on my blog, The Spotted Leopard, but in a nutshell I used the PixScan mat and my Silhouette CAMEO. I took a photo of the image, imported it into Silhouette software and traced each flower.  I sent it to the cutter and within minutes, each flower was individually cut just like that!

Look at those delicate little flowers!  At this point, I wasn’t sure exactly how I’d use them because the stems were posing a problem.  It would be weird to just place them scattered on the page.

I decided to use them to create a frame around my photo (I used a 3″ circle photo). To create this, I added tape adhesive to the back and then just started adding layers and layers of flowers until it felt good.

I added additional clusters around the page, including the title, sub title and a flower box at the bottom to pull it all together.

Hello everyone! Eva Pizarro on the blog today showing you a tutorial for a quilted style layout. If you have seen some of my previews layouts here in the blog you know I love this style because you can use all your paper scraps and display the gorgeous patterns in Pebbles’ collections.

My son is two years old and now more than ever he wants to do everything by himself, I love that, he is decided and very independent, qualities I hope he maintains through the years.

Use those left over papers and create a stunning layout with this tutorial from @evapizarrov and the new #Tealightful collection by @pebblesinc #madewithpebbles #pebblesinc #scrapbook #layout

Start by choosing your favorite Pebbles’ papers. I am using the new Tealightful collection which is perfect for spring photos!

Cut narrow strips of paper, all in the same width.

Attach your paper strips to a lightweight paper using liquid glue and cut 1 3/4 inch squares at a 45 degree angle.

Glue your squares to the side of your paper and use your sewing machine to do a zig zag stitch all around your squares. This technique gives you the quilted look and also hides all those little imperfections your collage might have.

Use die cuts and stickers to embellish your paper. The wood die cuts are beautiful! and the stickers have glitter accents with just the right amount of shimmer.

This is my final layout! I love how the squares look, such a beautiful background made with simple strips of paper!

Tea Party Favors

Hey there Pebbles friends and fans, Becki here. Today I have fun, easy tea party favors to share with you today. I created these tea party favors with the Tealightful collection and  with a few tools from our friends over at WE R Memory Keepers. These cute treat bag favors came together in a matter of minutes. I started by choosing 3 patterned papers from the Tealightful collection and trimming them into 7 inch squares. Then I cut them with the DIY Party Punch board using the directions that come with the punch board.

After I had the pieces cut for the base of the cone, I glued the cones together and got started on the embellishments for the front of the tea party favors. I cut two 1×12 inch strips of patterned paper for each cone. I scored the strips at every 1/2 inch, accordion folded them, glued the two strips together (end to end) to create a rosette for the front of each cone. I also cut three 1/2 x 6 inch strips for the handles. (I stapled the handles to the cones with a small stapler.)

I used one die cut and one sticker on the front of each rosette.

When you’re assembling the rosettes with the embellishments make sure to use a strong adhesive and let it dry completely before adhering them to the front of the cones.

These tea party favors turned out SO cute. They would be adorable filled with popcorn, candy, little cookies, or any other small treats.

These little tea party favor cones would also be adorable for a Spring party or a tea party themed birthday party. The options are endless when it comes to the DIY Party tool and the Tealightful collection. They’re both so versatile.

What would you fill these cute tea party favors with? Thank you for stopping by the Pebbles blog today. I’ll see you again soon!

A Tealightful Gift

Hello friends!  It’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing a quick and easy gift project I created with the “Tealightful” collection!  I just love the nod to spring in this collection – it makes me so excited for the flowers to start blooming and the grass to turn green instead of wintery brown.  I decided I wanted to spread a bit of spring cheer to a few special friends, so I put this collection to work!

A quick (and delicious) gift created by @wendysuea with the "Tealightful" collection by @PebblesInc.

These little gift boxes were so easy to put together…and you will need to bake up your favorite sugar cookies too!  But first, let’s make some boxes together!

Use this cut file(HERE)  from the silhouette store to cut out the hinged box.  Fold on the score lines and add adhesive to assemble the box.

A quick (and delicious) gift created by @wendysuea with the "Tealightful" collection by @PebblesInc.

Add the washi tape to the wrap strip. Fold the wrap and secure the end with adhesive and place the wrap around the box.  Now is the time to tie twine around the box and make a bow.

A quick (and delicious) gift created by @wendysuea with the "Tealightful" collection by @PebblesInc.

Next, either cut a card from patterned paper, or use one of the printed cardstock shapes to add to the box top. Embellish with additional printed cardstock shapes, puffy stickers, etc.

If you want to add a little message to the inside of the box top, cut a card from patterned paper, or add a printed cardstock piece to the inside of the lid.  Cut a piece of parchment paper to line the box bottom.

Now bake up a storm and place a delicious and beautiful cookie in the box.  Or TWO!

Make as many boxes as you have cookies (saving some for yourself, of course) and fill them up!

You are now ready to deliver some springtime goodness to some special friends!
