Greeting Cards

Hello there! Renee here to share a few adorable greeting cards using the Woodland Forest collection. It’s a new year! And, time to get ready and organized by getting that stash of greeting cards built up again. Birthdays, Congratulations, and Thank You cards are all needed throughout the year but so are those cards you would like to send to family and friends just to say “Hello” and that you are thinking of them.

I started by trimming cardstock to make 5″ x 7″ cards. I trimmed the Thankful pattern paper to 4 ¾” x 6 ¾” and the Pears pattern paper to 1 3/8″ x 4 ¾”, 1 ¾” x 4 ¾”, and 1 3/8″ x 6 ¾” strips and layered them onto my cards. I added machine stitching around my cards. Now to add embellishments to finish off the cards…

I added Stickers and layered Die-Cuts to create an adorable scene with gnomes.

Here is the “Thinking of You” card:

I added Stickers, Die-Cuts, and a fussy cut flower for this card. I trimmed the “Thinking of You” sentiment from the Thankful pattern paper and used the small stapler from the We R Memory Keepers Magnetic Staple Board to add it to my card.

I used more Stickers, Die-Cuts, and fussy cut flowers for this card. I also used Rubber Shapes and the Friends Thickers for the sentiment on this card.

Her Bookcase and Mine

Hello Pebbles fans!! For this week’s “Organization” theme I, Monique, created a layout about how my daughter and I organize our bookcases. We are both huge book lovers and it’s not enough to just read them, we want to own the books we love too. There’s just nothing better than collecting the books you love! As I’m older it makes sense that my bookcase is fuller than my daughter’s but she’s getting there! The funny thing is that while I organize my books by author, my daughter organizes her books by color. Although this way of organizing would never suit me, I really love how it looks and decided I just needed a photo and so the idea for this layout was born!

I used an older Pebbles collection to scrap this layout as I found Jen Hadfield’s Home + Made collection just perfect for these photo. When I started my page I held my photos against the different collections and chose the one that fitted best.

I love large ampersands and decided this 3″x 3″ Minc card with the ampersand needed to be included too.

However I found it needed a little embellishing and used my sewing machine to add a bit of texture:

The flower stickers from the Everyday collection and the gold Thickers from American Crafts were a perfect match for both my photos and the papers. How I love all the gold details in the various Pebbles products!

I added a bit of hand written journaling and lots of machine stitiching. With a few black paint drops my layout was done!

New Year’s Inspiration Cards!

Hello Friends! It’s Leanne here today to share a few cards to help keep your New Year’s Resolutions in check! Or maybe to encourage someone else who is on a journey of change and discovery!! Either way, these fun little cards promote self esteem and hopefully motivation!

Card #1 | Happy Day Create motivational cards with @PebblesInc and @leanne_allinson to help start the New Year!

I chose the Warm & Cozy patterned papers for this card, in particular for the arrows. To me, nothing says “moving forward” more than an arrow or two! The card base is a piece of white cardstock trimmed to 6″x8″ and then folded in half to 6″x4″. Strips of 1″ patterned paper are used for the basket weave effect. To have the arrows point in different directions, the paper strips are trimmed at 1″ intervals and then adhered to a separate piece of cardstock, on the diagonal. This creates an illusion of a basket weave. Trim to size and mount with a second piece of coordinating patterned paper.

Complete the card with fussy cut flowers and a “happy day” sticker sentiment.

Enjoying the little things can mean exactly that! I want to give this card to a friend to help keep them motivated with their New Year’s Resolutions. I want her to recognise that even the smallest of steps and achievements should be celebrated. This simple card was created with layers in mind. As soon as I saw the 2″x2″ cut apart sentiment from Cozy Sentiments Patterned Paper, I knew I wanted to use it in a motivational way. The white cardstock base is 6″x8″ folded in half to create a 6″x4″ card. I’ve trimmed the Fallen Leaves patterned paper to allow a small white border around the layers and then mounted it with a second patterned paper that mimics the sentiment print. To allow the sentiment to stand out, I’ve mounted it directly onto a small piece of white cardstock, to create a border around its edge.

Card #3 has the most obvious encouragement induced sentiment. The phrase was created using Imprint Thickers on a 2″x3.5″ piece of cardstock. The gold foil complements the gold accent of the fussy cut wreath branch. Layering the Tartan patterned paper below the gold foil, draws attention to the motivational sentiment.

Quick Gift: Organization – Scrapbooking Planner

Hello everyone! Heather Leopard is here today to share one of my resolutions this year. My goal is to get more organized as a family – from school, to the home, to work and everything in between. I used to keep a binder with all my creative projects – due dates, sketches, ideas and inspiration but I moved to digital a few years ago. As much as I enjoy having all of that at my fingertips , being able to access it wherever, whenever, not everyone is like that. I thought I’d create a “scrappiness” planner for a dear friend and offer the templates for all of you. Here is what I created.

I created this all from scratch and you can too! Here’s what you’ll need:

Chipboard
Patterned Paper – up to 6 different patterns
Embellishments
Thickers
Binding machine and coils
Scrapbooking Planner Templates – download HERE

Start by creating your covers. The template is created to be 4″ x 6″ so I made my covers 5 3/4″ x 7 1/2″. I used some kraft chipboard and then covered the front and back covers with patterned paper.

Next, print the templates. They are made to print 4″ x 6″ so you can print them on pre-cut paper on regular letter sized paper. You can also resize them.
