Holly Jolly Christmas Layout

Hello Pebbles friends! It’s Monique on the blog today to share my Holly Jolly Christmas layout. When I first saw the new Holly Jolly collection I think I squealed with joy! December (and okay, November too) is my favorite time of the year and I think I can safely say I love all Christmas collections, but this one comes out top of the range! I love everthing about it: the papers, the die-cuts, the tags, the stickers and the ornaments and above all I love that this Xmas collection has pink and blue in it’s color range!

Here’s the layout I created for today:

A Holly Jolly Christmas Layout made by @MoniqueLiedtke using the #HollyJolly collection from @PebblesInc.

When I first opened the Holly Jolly collection the packet with ornaments immediately drew my attention and I decided I was going to make those ornaments the starting point on my page. Let me show you step-by-step how I created this layout:

1: I gathered everything I wanted to use: papers, embellishments, three 2.5″ x 2.5″ photos (not counting the white edges):

A Holly Jolly Christmas Layout made by @MoniqueLiedtke using the #HollyJolly collection from @PebblesInc.

2: The ornaments consist of two parts, but I only needed one part so I cut those loose:

3: I chose the “Oh Deer” patterned paper to use for my background, cut off approx. 3.5 cm at the top (leaving the landing strip in place!) and 1.5 cm at the right side and adhered this on a sheet of white cardstock. I cut off a matching landing strip from another sheet of “Oh Deer” paper and adhered this on the opposite side. Next I arranged my six ornaments (with little twine bows attached) on my layout in the shape of a Christmas tree:

4: The ornaments have their own adhesive so I peeled off the backing:

5: I adhered the ornaments on my page and looked for the best place to adhere my photos:

6: Next I embellished my layout with some of the die-cuts which I adhered either with an adhesive runner or with some foam adhesive:

7: I really love how quickly this page came together.

8: After writing down the date and doing a bit of machine stitching here and there my layout was finished!

Hi Everyone! It’s Leanne here and believe it or not, it’s that time of the year where we are either starting to bring together our gift giving ideas or are already well under way with the organisation of it all! It you are a little like me, and often find yourself looking for last minute gift ideas, more often than not, I seek out gift cards for my impossible-to-buy-for friends! But to make the giving more special, I love to create gift card holders with gorgeous patterned papers and embellishments.

Create your own gift card envelopes with @PebblesInc #hollyjollychristmas as shown by @leanne_allinson

This year I am creating with the Holly Jolly collection 6×6 mini paper pad and the die cut paper embellishments. Don’t these papers have just the cutest designs ever?!

Create your own gift card envelopes with @PebblesInc #hollyjollychristmas as shown by @leanne_allinson

To create the mini envelope/gift card holders, you will also need the We R Memorykeepers envelope punch board. Simply follow the instructions on the board using a 5″x5″ piece of patterned paper from the mini paper pad.

To personalise the envelope for my gift giving purposes, I have also chosen the mini cut apart patterned paper for contrast. It will also be used to ground any die cut embellishments to the envelope base.

Once you have created your envelope, embellishment is limited only to your imagination!

Here are three fun examples that are very easy to recreate!

Card 1 | Oh Christmas Tree

Create your own gift card envelopes with @PebblesInc #hollyjollychristmas as shown by @leanne_allinson

step 1. Create mini envelope using the “tree” pattern from the paper pad.

step 2. Add the Christmas Tree die cut embellishment to the right side of the envelope front.

step 3. Round the edges of a mini cut apart saying and layer on top of the tree die cut.

step 4. Add foam tape to the Holly Jolly Christmas label die cut and layer on to the envelope to complete the card holder.

Card 2 | Candy Canes

pebbles_leanne-allinson_dec-gift_gift-card-holders_card-2_detail-1

step 1. Create the mini envelope with the “polka dot” pattern from the paper pad.

step 2. Trim two pieces of contrasting patterned paper, one slightly smaller than the other, and round the corners. Layer the smaller pieces on top of the larger patterned paper and adhere to the front of the gift card holder.

step 3. Using a flower die cut and two candy cane paper embellishments, layer to arrange so that each piece overlaps. Add foam tape to the back of the die cut pieces and adhere to the front of the gift card holder.

pebbles_leanne-allinson_dec-gift_gift-card-holders_card-2_detail-2

step 4.  On a mini paper tag, use a precision pen to draw around the outside edge to create a name label and adhere to the envelope.

Card 3 | Making Spirits Bright

pebbles_leanne-allinson_dec-gift_gift-card-holders_card-3_detail-1

step 1. Before folding and adhering the envelope together, trim two pieces of patterned paper at 0.75″  wide. Carefully add a slit measuring the same width on the fold lines, to allow the paper to be threaded inside the envelope.

pebbles_leanne-allinson_dec-gift_gift-card-holders_card-3_detail-2

step 2. Fold and adhere the paper strips to the inside before securing the envelope shape.

pebbles_leanne-allinson_dec-gift_gift-card-holders_card-3_detail-3

step 3. Create a bow (also using the envelope punch board) and add it to the cross point of the paper strips.

pebbles_leanne-allinson_dec-gift_gift-card-holders_card-3_detail-4

step 4. Ink the edges of a mini paper tag and the cut apart saying then tuck each piece beneath the bow to complete the gift card holder embellishment.

Each gift card holder you make can now be personalised easily with these ideas as your guide! And hopefully your gift giving season will be more joyful because of it. Thanks for visiting..x

Happy Holidays, everyone!  Heather Leopard is here and I hope you’re enjoying this holiday season. I just love the holiday spirit – the excitement, the baking, the decorating, especially DIY decorating!

DIY Christmas Decor made by @HeatherLeopard using the #HollyJolly collection from @PebblesInc.

I thought I’d offer a tutorial to walk you through the process of creating this cute Santa display.

Gather the following supplies:

DIY Christmas Decor made by @HeatherLeopard using the #HollyJolly collection from @PebblesInc.

  • Trifold frame – I got mine at one of the big box stores in the fall decor
  • 6 different pattern papers from the Holly Jolly collection.  See my supply list at the bottom of this post.
  • Circle for the base of your wreath
  • Die cuts (not pictured)
  • red clothespins (not pictured)
  • Foam Dots
  • 2 of your favorite photos.  You can use this to display cards as well.

Cut oval shapes in two different sizes  out of the pattern paper. I cut approximately 10 large and 8 small out of each paper.

Fold each shape in half to give it leaf-like dimension.

Adhere the larger leaves to the circle, alternating them and pointing them away from the sides. It’s okay if you can see the base of the wreath.  You’ll soon be covering this up with the smaller leaves.

Once you’ve created your base layer of leaves, start adding the smaller leaves to the top, alternating them and paying close attention to ensure you don’t layer the same pattern on top of each other.

Your finished project should look similar to this.  You may have to re-bend some of the leaves as they may have flattened out during the process of adhering them.

Add a sentiment to the top, using foam dots. Then loop paper around the top of the wreath so that it appears like it is ribbon. Hang from a red clothespin to the middle part of the frame.

Hang your photo on the left side and add die cut embellishments.

Repeat on the right side.

Milk and Cookies gift

Hello everybody and welcome to the Pebbles’ blog! It’s Eva Pizarro with you today sharing a tutorial for a quick holiday gift.

Create these Christmas cookies boxes in minutes with this tutorial from @evapizarro and @pebblesinc new line #HollyJolly

I love to make cookies for my neighbors and friends but I always struggle on the packaging. I want something simple but also beautiful because, let’s be honest: everything taste better in a cute packaging!

This year I decided to make some milk carton with the help of my electronic cutting machine. If you don’t have a machine you could trace a template or use one of the many Punch Boards from our friends at We R Memory Keepers.

Create these Christmas cookies boxes in minutes with this tutorial from @evapizarro and @pebblesinc new line #HollyJolly

I chose a box with a window so I could see the cookies. To cover the window I used gold accent acetate.

I filled my boxes and embellished the outside. I wanted something quick so I tied a bow with twine, adhered a die cut with some 3d dots next to the window and closed my box with some golden clips and a tag.

In the packages you get 45 different die cuts and 16 tags (8 like the ones I used and 8 bigger tags) so one package each should be enough for 16 gifts.

I love this deer with a sweater! isn’t it cute? The garland on the back by the way is also from the Holly Jolly collection.

I think these gifts are very cute, I am sure everyone is going to love them! and I am finally going to be able to send all the quick gifts I want!

Do you need quick and small cards too? Check out these mini cards I made last year! Perfect to add to your gifts!

Pajama Quilt Layout

Hey Pebbles friends and fans, Becki here. We’re right in the middle of gift giving season. It’s an amazing time of year. When I was given the “handmade gift” theme, I knew exactly what story I was going to document. It’s a story I’ve been meaning to get into my son’s album for a while. I snapped a few photos and sat down at my desk with the “Woodland Forest” collection to get started.

Pajama Quilt Layout created by @jbckadams for @pebblesinc #scrapbooking #scrapbook #papercrafting #pebblesinc

I think the best gifts come from grandparents! When I was little I always looked forward to a handmade gift from my grandma. We always got pajamas that my grandma had made each Christmas. The gift my son got from his grammy is a little bit different. His grammy (my mom) made him a quilt with all the pajamas he had outgrown. He LOVES his pajama quilt.

Pajama Quilt Layout created by @jbckadams for @pebblesinc #scrapbooking #scrapbook #papercrafting #pebblesinc

I chose the Woodland Forest collection because of the warm color palette and the classic designs.  As usual, I used a LOT of patterned paper on this layout (I may have a bit of a patterned paper addiction.

Pajama Quilt Layout created by @jbckadams for @pebblesinc #scrapbooking #scrapbook #papercrafting #pebblesinc

It’s kind of hard to see it but I created a paper pieced mat for the photo of my son wrapped in his quilt.

Pajama Quilt Layout created by @jbckadams for @pebblesinc #scrapbooking #scrapbook #papercrafting #pebblesinc

I couldn’t create a layout about quilting without including some sewing with my sewing machine. I stitched the title along the bottom and added a some stitching in a few other places around the layout.

The Woodland Forest collection has such cute little woodland creatures I couldn’t help but add a couple of them to this layout.

Looking back, I wish I had more photos of the handmade gifts I received as a child. Are your handmade gifts documented in your albums? Thanks for stopping by the Pebbles blog. Have a very happy Holiday Season!
