Quick Gift: Framed Pumpkin Project

Hello Pebbles Friends!  It’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing a really quick and easy (and super cute) framed pumpkin project.  I really love sharing little seasonal gifts with my neighbors and friends.  Usually I share a treat – but every once in a while, I get a wild hair and want to create something a bit different.  I was at a local craft fair recently and noticed all of the cute framed 3-dimensional wood decor.  I don’t have a lot of fancy wood-cutting equipment and I can’t paint…but I do have a plethora of random frames and a passion for paper – so here’s what I came up with for my quick little autumn gifts:
Create a quick and easy home decor gift with a few simple steps! Framed pumpkins by @wendysue with the #WoodlandForest and #TrickOrTreat Collections by @Pebblesinc.

This project could easily be whipped up in 15 minutes or less, once the supplies are gathered and set up!  And, best of all, it’s so easy that the kids can even help!

Start by cutting a bunch of pumpkin shapes – I used my Silhouette cameo because it makes the process super quick.  You could trace and cut the shapes out by hand too.  I cut about 18 shapes out of regular cardstock.

Next, for the dimension, stack up the shapes and glue them together.  A simple glue stick works great.  The more pumpkins you cut, the more dimensional your finished project will be.  The top layer will be covered with patterned paper.  Don’t forget the stem!

Add stickers, tags, jute…whatever embellishments you’d like to make it personalized.

Now pull out a frame – you can paint, decoupage, or use it just as it is – it’s up to you!  Add a piece of patterned paper directly over the glass.  Create a quick and easy home decor gift with a few simple steps! Simply glue your pumpkin to the patterned paper background!

Super easy, and super cute, right?!

If you prefer a Halloween themed pumpkin, simply switch up the products you use!  I created this version with papers from the “Trick or Treat” collection:

See, you don’t need wood to create the trendy framed pieces – just fake it with layers of cardstock!  If you create a framed pumpkin project, please leave a comment with a link – I’d love to see your version!

Pumpkin Farm Double-Page Layout

Happy Fall, Everyone!  Renee here to share a Pumpkin Farm Double-Page Layout using the adorable Woodland Forest collection.  I love fall and one my favorite fall activities is a trip to the pumpkin farm.  So much to do and so much fun!  I had fun scrapping some photos from our trip to the pumpkin farm last fall.  I love the way this double-page layout turned out…from the BIG title to the cute embellishments.

I started this double-page layout with the Pears pattern paper for my background papers.

  1. I trimmed the Stitched Floral pattern papers to 6″ x 12″ and adhered them to the bottoms of my background papers.
  2. I trimmed the Gnome Home pattern papers to 5 ¼” x 12″ and centered them onto the Stitched Floral papers.

Now, to work on my BIG title!  I used my Alphabet Punch Board to punch out the “pumpkin” word from the Pumpkin Patch pattern paper.  I arranged my “pumpkin” word along the top of my pages.  I left enough space on the right side of it to finish off my title with the “farm” word using the Friends Thickers.

I arranged and adhered six 3″ x 4″ photos along the bottom of my pages.

I added adorable little critter, teepee, and foliage Stickers, leaves and tree stump Die-Cuts, and Rubber Shapes.  I sprinkled in some Phrase Stickers with my photos.

Paper Pumpkin Decoration for Fall and Thanksgiving

Hello Pebbles friends! It’s Monique on the blog today and I’m so happy to be sharing this “paper pumpkin” home decor project with you. Autumn is my favorite season of the year and I just love decorating my house for this season. Over the years I’ve collected quite a few bits and pieces, both for inside and outside the house, but every year I just need to create something new and for today’s blog post I decided to make these paper pumpkins using the wonderful Woodland Forest collection.

Folded paper pumpkins for Fall and Thanksgiving made by @MoniqueLiedtke using the #WoodlandForest collection from @PebblesInc.

I just love how they turned out with their perfect colors and pretty papers. Right now I’m using them to brighten up my living room, but with Thanksgiving I’m going to use them to decorate my diner table and that’s why I decided to create matching “place cards” as well:

The mini kraft pocket tags were just perfect for this purpose. I selected the “thank you” phrase tags from the Homemade phrase tags package and inserted those in the pockets, but coming Thanksgiving I want to write a more personal message for everyone and put those in the pockets.

Let me show you quickly how I made the paper pumpkins. It’s really very simple:

Folded paper pumpkins for Fall and Thanksgiving made by @MoniqueLiedtke using the #WoodlandForest collection from @PebblesInc.

  1. Gather the 6″x 6″ paper pad from the Woodland Forest collection, a few “thank you” phrase tags and a 2.5″ circles punch (or 1.5″ for the pumpkin decoration on the pockets).
  2. Punch 6 circles.
  3. Trim off a little strip from each circle.
  4. Score the circles in the middle.
  5. Fold the circles in half (and ink the edges if you like).

Next glue all sides together, place a little stick (or a thin strip of paper) in the centre and place one of the labels/tags over it. Add two punched leaves and the pumpkin is ready!

To create this pumpkin to decorate a place card (pocket tag) is similar. Just use a smaller circle punch and don’t glue all the sides of the pumpkin together, but glue the last one to the pocket. Add the initial of the person the pocket/card is for and you’re done!

Fall Colours + Memories = Card Inspiration!

Hey there Pebbles Friends! It is Leanne here today sharing some cards inspired by the glorious Fall colours in the new Woodland Forest collection! Even though the weather is warming up in preparation for Spring and Summer here in Australia, when I think of Autumn, clear images come to mind. I love the fresh crispness in the air, the calming orange sunsets and cool evening, outdoor parties with friends. With those images in mind, I have created three cards inspired simply by these memories.

The first card is clean and simple. I have focused on the crisp white with gold foil accents of the patterned paper and added gold foil alpha stickers.

After fussy cutting the leaves and placing them in a wreath like circle on the base cardstock, I have layered a wood grain sentiment directly over the top.

The second and third cards have been created with the help of the new We R Memories Frame Punch Board.

The “Just for You” card was inspired by my love of sunsets in Autumn. What I love most is, there always seems to be a halo of lazy orange colours at sunset. The orange cardstock frame bordering the card helps to represent this idea.

The large floral sticker, layered over an olive green banner, is indicative of the sun going down over the horizon.

The final card has been created in reminiscence of outdoor family gathering in the evening. I love the string of party lights against a background of tunnelled frames.

This birthday card has also been teamed with gold foil thickers and a touch of wood grain against orange hues.

quick-fall-gift-2-by-heather-leopard

Hello everyone, Heather Leopard is here today to show you a fun fall hostess gift idea that you can whip up in a matter of minutes. It’s basically fall in a jar and it’s bursting with traditional falls colors.  I’m going to let my girls give these to their teachers but they’re perfect for a hostess gift or a little treat for your co-workers.

quick-fall-gift-supplies-by-heather-leopard

Supplies:

  • mason jars
  • your favorite Pebbles fall collection – pattern paper, die cuts, wood veneer
  • Twine
  • Paper piercer or hole punch
  • Sticky Thumb Sticky Dots
  • candy or trail mix

quick-fall-gift-4-by-heather-leopard

To create these, fill the mason jars with candy made up of the your favorite Autumn colors. Then, cut leaves using whatever tools you have.  I used my Silhouette CAMEO.  Then mix and match the leaves with a sentiment cut from one of the pattern papers in the 6×6 paper pad.  Punch a hole in them and tie them together with twine. Wrap around your mason jars and then add wood veneer using Sticky Dots.

quick-fall-gift-topper-by-heather-leopard

You’re halfway done at this point! Next, grab a few smaller leaves and a cute little wood veneer character. Adhere the leaves together, folding them the way a typical leaf would be folded. Adhere them to the top of the mason jar lid using another sticky dot.

quick-fall-gift-3-by-heather-leopard

Add a little bow to your character to give it even more character.  Adhere to the top of the lid using a stick dot.  I also attached a piece of cardstock as a base to the back of the wood veneer to help it stay standing upright.

And there you have it, two quick gifts using my favorite fall colors. I only hope my girls’ teachers enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making them for them.
