Hello! Renee here today to share a few fall Thank You cards I made using the Woodland Forest collection.  I love this fall collection!  It has great colors, adorable little critters and other reminders of the season, and most of all…fun fall patterns. I thought it would be fun to add blocks of pattern papers to create these cards.

Here is the Thanks, My Friend card:

And, here’s how I created it:

  1. I started with white Cardstock trimmed and folded to a 5″ x 7″ card.  I trimmed the Pears pattern paper to 4 ¾” x 6 ¾ ” and adhered it to my card base.
  2. I trimmed the Fall Florals pattern paper to 2 ½” x 4 1/8″ and adhered it near the bottom left corner of my card.
  3. I trimmed the Stitched Floral pattern paper to 2 ½” x 2 ½” and adhered it near the bottom right corner of my card.
  4. For embellishments, I adhered an adorable Wood Veneer raccoon to the bottom right block of my card.  I added a “my friend” banner Die-Cut to the bottom left block of my card. I used the Friends Thickers for the sentiment of my card along with a pear Die-Cut underneath the letter “A”.  I finished off the card with some red Hemp Twine.

  2. I trimmed the Gnome Home pattern paper to 2 ¼” x 4 ¾” and adhered it near the bottom of my card.
  3. I trimmed the Autumn Day pattern paper to 2 1/8″ x 3 3/8″ and adhered it near the top right corner of my card.
  4. For embellishments, I adhered a gnome Die-Cut to the top right block of my card.  I adhered an apple Die-Cut to the top left block of my card.  I heat embossed the sentiment of my card below the apple die-cut.  I finished off the card with some more red Hemp Twine.

Favorite Recipe Layout

Hello Pebbles fans! It’s Monique today, sharing a layout created with the beautiful Harvest collection. When I was a little kid we used to spend many holidays in Germany with my German grandparents. My grandmother would have the “Kartoffelsalat” (potato salad) in the fridge, ready to be put on the table as soon as we arrived. After hours of driving we would be ravenous and granny’s salad would taste so good! This has become one of my favorite childhood memories. So apart from the fact that my grandmother’s potato salad tastes wonderful, it’s also this memory that makes it my favorite dish. When my grandmother passed away, my parents took over the preparing of the “Kartoffelsalat” for the holidays and for the last 5 years I’ve been doing it.

I thought it would be fun to scrap about this for today’s blog post! Here’s what I did:

My favorite recipe layout by @MoniqueLiedtke using the #Harvest collection by @PebblesInc.

When I was deciding which fabulous Pebbles Inc. collections I was going to use to scrap my photos, I noticed the fun kitchen utensils in the Harvest collection and my choice was made! I wanted to hand stitch my title and needed to determine where it was going to be so I started arranging my papers and photos without adhering them. I typed up the recipe in Word and printed it straight onto a strip of white cardstock, which I then placed at the top of my page. I also cut a few 12″ strips of paper of various widths and arranged these, together with the matted photo on my page. Next I chose one of the American Crafts embroidery stencils and placed this on my page where I wanted my title:

My favorite recipe layout by @MoniqueLiedtke using the #Harvest collection by @PebblesInc.

Carefully, so I wouldn’t move the photos and papers, I punched the holes in my sheet:

My favorite recipe layout by @MoniqueLiedtke using the #Harvest collection by @PebblesInc.

And when I was certain I punched the letters where I wanted them, I removed the photos and papers and hand stitched the word “recipe”:

Now I could start building my page “for real” and adhere photos, papers, stickers and other embellishments.

My favorite recipe layout by @MoniqueLiedtke using the #Harvest collection by @PebblesInc.

As I adore stitching on my layouts I decided to choose another design from the American Crafts embroidery stencils: the word bubble with the heart. I cut a piece of paper from one of the “Homemade” kraft bags, punched the word bubble with heart, stitched it with some orange embroidery thread and hand cut around it and added it to my page. I love the effect!

My favorite recipe layout by @MoniqueLiedtke using the #Harvest collection by @PebblesInc.

Except for the Harvest collection, I also used a few pieces from the new Woodland Forest collection, like the beautiful wood veneers. As I thought the wood veneers were a bit too “bare” I decided to give them a “gold dipped” look. I covered half of them in Versamark ink, sprinkled gold embossing powder over it, shook off the excess powder and used a heating tool to make it melt. See the butterfly in the photo above and the leave wood veneer in the photo below:

Last but not least I added some machine stitching as well, a couple of drops of color shine and some journaling and I was done! Hope you like it!

Create your own Recipe File Folder mini album!

Hello Friends! It’s Leanne here today sharing an easy Recipe File Folder mini album that will keep all your favourite family recipes together in one place! This project is also perfect to create as a gift for those who love cooking or are just starting out as a beginner chef!

To create this stand alone file folder you will need some sturdy cardstock as your base and your favourite Pebbles Inc paper collection. I am using the new Woodland Forest and Warm & Cozy collections. Let’s get started!

Get ready to share all your favourite recipes in this cute mini file folder made by @leanne_allinson using the @PebblesInc #woodlandforest and #warmandcozy collections.

Other supplies will include two small jump rings and the Pebbles Inc Harvest Dies: Tab & Recipe Card.

pebbles_leanne-allinson_recipe-gift_eat_2

Step 1.

Trim several pieces of patterned paper with the metal die and two pieces of coordinating cardstock to 12”x4”.

note: When cutting the patterned paper using the metal die, be aware of the positioning of the pattern on the paper. I have kept all the tabs on the top left side for cohesion. This is simply a personal preference.

Step 2.

Take one of the cardstock pieces and cut in half (4”x6”). Score a fold line at the 1”, 3” and 5” points. Fold to create peaks and valleys – a concertina fold. On the second piece of 12”x4” cardstock, score and fold a line at 6”.

Step 3.

Add adhesive to the 1” areas on the smaller piece of cardstock and attach to the inside of the taller 12”x6” piece.

Step 4.

Punch holes in the top of the cardstock stand at the 1” and 3” marks. Do the same with the file folder recipe cards.

pebbles_leanne-allinson_recipe-gift_eat_step-5

Step 5.

Add some inserts for writing down recipes from ledger patterned paper. Trim the paper to 3”x6” in size. Secure all of the paper pieces to the cardstock base with jump rings.

Step 6.

Embellish your front cover and add the word “EAT!” using the Woodland Forest Alpha Thickers.

Recipe for a Scrapbooking Layout

Hello, my friends.  Heather Leopard is here and I thought I’d do a bit of a twist on this week’s recipe projects.  All of my family recipes are tucked away in my recipe box so instead of scrapbooking a favorite recipe, I decided to create a recipe to share with you.  A recipe you can use in your every day scrapbooking…

Recipe for a Scrapbooking Layout

recipe-for-a-scrapbooking-layout-by-heather-leopard
This recipe contains all the ingredients I use most often when creating a layout.  Feel free to right click the recipe image below to save a copy to your PC.  This recipe contains:

  • Select the perfect cut of photos. I usually use 1 photo but today I mixed 4 photos layered together to make one.
  • Blend together 5 coordinating pattern papers
  • Add a dash of machine or hand stitching
  • Garnish with embellishments (die cuts, wood veneer, cardstock/acetate shapes, chipboard, etc.) to create lots of layers
  • Add a dollop of alphas for a title
  • Complete the layout with journaling

we-are-blessed-scrapbooking-layout-by-heather-leopard
I used the recipe above to create this scrapbooking layout today. I hope you enjoy it and use it as a guide for your scrapbooking needs.

Select the perfect cut of photos

fuse-photo-by-heather-leopard
I usually only use 1 – 2 photos on a page but because I know many Pebbles fans love to use multiple photos on a page, I thought I’d mix the two styles so that I could include multiple photos but only taking up the space of one.  To do this, I used my Fuse tool to create a waterfall photo flip.  I simply printed photos in different sizes and used the fuse tool to make protectors sized to the photo.

waterfall-photo
I layered the photos over each other so that each of my children’s faces and their word would show, with the last photo only revealing a photo of my husband and I and the last word of the sentence, which also serves as the main title.

we-are-blessed-flipbook-scrapbooking-layout-by-heather-leopard

Blend together 5 coordinating pattern papers

we-are-blessed-background-scrapbooking-layout-by-heather-leopard
Next, I wanted to create a background of leaves but I also wanted to add some contrasting color so I trimmed my first pattern paper to 10″x12″ and added a small border using my 2nd pattern paper to the left side. For the right side, I combined those two patterns used on the left with 2 additional pattern papers, overlapping them together to make a larger border on that side.

Add a dash of machine or hand stitching

we-are-blessed-stitching-scrapbooking-layout-by-heather-leopard
No layout of mine would be complete without stitching.  For this layout, I stitched the seams of each border, leaving room to lift the paper just a bit.

Garnish with embellishments to create lots of layers

we-are-blessed-embellishments-scrapbooking-layout-by-heather-leopard
I used a combination of hand cut and die cuts leaves as well as wood veneer to add layers around my photo as well as to create the triangle visual design pattern around the page.

Add a dollop of alphas for a title and complete the layout with journaling

we-are-blessed-scrapbooking-layout-by-heather-leopard
I’ll admit, I almost never have a title in mind when I start creating.  I wouldn’t recommend this but it’s what I do and almost always work out.  Journaling is a key component to a layout that you really shouldn’t go without.  Although you may remember the story as you are creating it, you probably won’t remember those details years or decades from now and those who are looking at the pages in your album certainly won’t remember it or may not have even been a part of the story so please, please add an ounce or two of journling, even if it’s just the who, when and where. You can add journaling directly to the layout in various ways or you can add hidden journaling on the front or back of the page.  You don’t always see it on the layouts I show online but I always add it. Sometimes I like to keep those details private and add them to the layout after photos are taken.

So, while this recipe for a scrapbooking layout is not an official Pebbles challenge, I’d love to see your take on it. You can find me on Facebook and Instagram (@heatherleopard)

Decorate Preserve Jars

Hello friends! It’s Eva Pizarro here today showing you how to quickly decorate a preserve jar to give to someone you love. Every year at the end of the summer my family makes a traditional Italian preserve called “antipasto.” My husband is Italian, so we follow his grandma’s family recipe and make many jars to enjoy during the year and to gift to friends and family. I love to give something homemade!

I decided to decorate my jars very simple. I used some die cuts, twine, that lovely log paper, the square sentiments paper, a piece of fabric and a cute spoon.

Use one of the squares from the sentiments paper to make a card. Inside you can write the recipe or maybe some instructions to plate the preserve.

Put a piece of fabric on top of your jar to cover the lid – you can also use washi tape following this tutorial I made some time ago. Use some twine to hold the spoon and your card in place.

Decorate the top of your jar with some die cuts and a log from that cute log paper.

Add some die cut leaves to your spoon using a strong liquid adhesive.

Your jars are done! I think they look very cute, and I am sure my friends will appreciate them! They would make a lovely Christmas gift for neighbors or coworkers as well!
