Cards and Coordinating Envelopes

Hi!  It’s me again, Wendy Sue, sharing another little project with you! Making handmade cards is one of my favorite things – and I’m a big fan of simple cards.  But sometimes I really want my simple cards to carry just a little bit more “punch!” I’ve found an easy way to do this is by creating coordinating envelopes.  One of my favorite tricks is to create a plain envelope with a liner that coordinates with the card.  Here’s a look at the set I created recently with the “Everyday” collection.

Pink Cards and Lined Envelopes by @wendysue with the ""Everyday" collection by @Pebblesinc.Even though these cards are simple, here’s a look at how I put them together.  The first photo shows all of the pieces for the card – a base, a gold foiled base cover, a pink patterned paper, a 3×4 card, a beautiful gold clip, and a pink twine bow.

And after all of the pieces are layered, here’s the completed card:

The coordinating envelope is just as easy!  The ingredients include a die-cut envelope, a liner, and a couple of die cuts.

Simply place the liner, assemble the envelope, and add the printed shapes:

That’s all there is to it:

And the set is perfectly lovely, don’t you think?

They were so easy to put together that I created a trio while I was making this one!  Here’s the second set:

And finally, one last peek at the entire trio:

So, do you agree? Do the coordinating envelopes take the project up a notch??
