Hello there! Amy from The Happy Scraps here today. I don’t know about you, but when I think of April Showers, I know I need to make sure I have an umbrella handy, so I don’t get wet when it’s raining. So, for today’s quick gift project, I thought, what would be cuter than mini umbrellas?! Plus, they hold a treat!

I used my electronic die cutting machine to cut out some little cupcake wrappers, cut from these pretty, bright colored papers from the Everyday Collection.

I put each of them together, and cut two paper straws into thirds.

Using some cone shaped cellophane bags I had on hand, I got out the FUSE tool. I re-sized the bags to fit inside the cupcake wrapper umbrellas.

I placed a candy into each cellophane bag.

I placed a piece of the paper straw into each bag and used some baker’s twine to tie it up.

Then I placed the candy into the cupcake wrapper umbrellas.

Using a 1 3/4″ circle punch, I punched out some words and sayings from the Happy Thoughts paper.

Using an adhesive dot, I attached one to each of the umbrellas, making them the perfect little gift to give to a friend to brighten their day, to say thank you, for a birthday, or any occasion.

The bright colors of the paper in the Everyday collection are perfect for paper crafting a cute little pick me up gift.
