Hello again! I’m so happy to be back on the blog today with a fun (and easy, as always) little spring gift project! I know, you’re probably expecting some yummy treats, all wrapped up and cutified…but not today! Today, I’m taking a cue from Mother Nature and creating a gift with “living” components! Here’s a look at my finished project. Keep reading to see just how easy it was to create!
This is a photo of all the products I gathered to create this sweet little gift – first, just the Pebbles products:
And another photo I took after a quick trip to Home Depot!
Now, to the fun creating part! I started with this awesome wooden box! It’s actually a recipe box that is part of the “Homemade” line by Jen Hadfield.
I wrapped jute around the box.
Next, I added one of the die-cut banner shapes. I just love the gold foil polka-dots! I used foam dots along the top and bottom so the banner would be attached directly to the wood, and over the top of the jute.
Next, a small printed die-cut banner:
And a sticker banner too:
Next, I wanted to add this sweet gold foiled vellum flower. But mostly I just wanted the leaves to be exposed after adding the dimensional element in the next step, so I cut it in the middle in order to arrange the leaves how I wanted them.
Add the dimensional element next:
And since I didn’t want the back of the box to be “naked,” I added this sweet little 3×4 card with foam adhesive dots:
That’s it for the paper part. Now fill the box with dirt.
Add the succulents.
Isn’t it pretty?!?
I love how it turned out – now I just need to keep it alive until I give it away (wish me luck because I was not blessed with a green thumb)! Happy gift-making!
