Hey Pebbles friends, Becki here. I’m excited to share with you two DIY shaped spring cards that I created with scraps from the Everyday collection. Even though it was snowing here in Idaho a few days ago, I’m sure Spring is just around the corner (at least that’s what everyone tells me). My flip flops and sandals are still tucked away in my closet but my rain boots are sitting right by the door. I thought that a rain boot shaped card would be fun to send to a friend who needs a little happiness in her mailbox. I love making shaped cards with my electronic die cutting machine.
I’ve used the Everyday collection for so many projects that my pile of scraps was getting a little out of control. I gathered a few of the scraps together to create this set of Spring Cards.
Along with the patterned paper, I gathered a few tools, adhesive, scissors, a paper piercer, and metal studs (also from the Everyday collection.
After cutting all the pieces with my electronic die cutting machine all I had to do was glue everything together, it’s that easy!
After everything was glued together I used a paper piercer to poke holes in the flower to put the metal studs in the center of the flower. The metal stud added such fun texture and dimension to the flower. I can’t wait to use them on future projects.
When I had the rain boot card finished I had to make a rainbow card to go with it. These cards make the most adorable pair. The rainbow card is simply made out of patterned paper and one die cut from the Everyday ephemera pack.
I love how these shaped cards came together. Mostly because I love the Everyday collection.
