Lucky to Have You Mini Cards

Hello everyone! I’m Eva Pizarro and today I’m showing you how to make some cute mini cards with a little surprise inside!

Mini cards are adorable, and I usually love to give them out along with a little present… but these cards have already a little something inside! They are small, and besides the inner pocket, are really very simple.

You’ll start with a 2 3/8 inch x 5 inch rectangle and score it at 2 3/8 inch and 2 5/8 inch. Then you’ll want to bend the card to make it 1/4 inch height.

With some scraps, create a pocket by leaving a 1/4 inch on each of the 3 sides to make a pocket. Before attaching, stamp a sentiment or decorate the pocket. Attach to your card with strong liquid glue.

Make a small bag with wax paper and put some candy inside. I wanted to put gold coins inside, but I couldn’t find them here in Chile! I think those would look lovely!

To stamp my sentiment I used the BIG roller stamp from the From Me To You collection. I love this stamp and use it very often! Hold your bag with a clip and embellish the front of your card.

I created three different cards. For the first one, I cut some paper from the 6×6 Everyday paper pad and placed them diagonally on my card. I used the colors of the rainbow.

Repeat the colors if necessary and trim the excess.

Cut some clovers with your die cut machine and the DIY Home Gold paper and glue it to a piece of white cardstock. Stamp your sentiment and put it on top of your card. If your stamping technique isn’t perfect, follow Renee’s advice and use a black pen to fill the holes! That’s a great tip!

For the second card, I used the same clover but stamped my sentiment with rainbow colors.

To fill the little gaps I used a toothpick and some cotton.

The final card has the sentiment in green, but I used a geometric background on top of my white cardstock.

The inside of all the cards is the same and has a small place to write a note and a few candies to sweeten someone’s day!

And here are all the cards! Which one is your favorite? I love them all!
