How to Create an Interactive Layout

Hey friends, thanks for stopping by the Pebbles blog today. I’m Becki and I’m here to show you how to create an interactive layout. The harvest themed interactive layout has 6 photos, a large title, and a 4×6 inch place for journaling.  What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the word “harvest”?  I grew up on a farm so the theme “harvest” always has a special meaning to me. I have fond memories of working on the farm with my family. My dad raised potatoes for many years. I decided to create a layout about my memories of potato harvest.

How to create an interactive layout by @jbckadams (Becki Adams) for @pebblesinc #scrapbooking #papercrafting #memorykeepingI started this layout by adhering 4 glitter tag pockets across the page. These pockets will hold 4 small photos and make a great backdrop for my giant title.

How to create an interactive layout by @jbckadams (Becki Adams) for @pebblesinc #scrapbooking #papercrafting #memorykeepingI used sticky dots to adhere the tags to the background paper. These sticky dots are a great way to adhere bulky embellishments to  your layouts. I cut glitter circle stickers in half, stuck them back to back to create tabs for the photos that go in the tag pockets.

How to create an interactive layout by @jbckadams (Becki Adams) for @pebblesinc #scrapbooking #papercrafting #memorykeepingI used letter stickers to create the title for this layout . The glittery pockets make a great background for my title.  I finished the title off by adding a few die cuts. I used a little bit of liquid adhesive on the letter stickers to make sure that my title stays in place on top of the glitter.

How to create an interactive layout by @jbckadams (Becki Adams) for @pebblesinc #scrapbooking #papercrafting #memorykeepingBehind the main photo of the layout I created a flap (using kraft recipe cards and washi tape).  These kraft journaling cards are the divider tabs in the recipe box from the Homemade collection. Under the flap I added another 4×6 photo, my journaling, and a few stickers. And here’s the final photo of my layout with lots of interactive elements. My challenge to you is to create a layout with an interactive element. (Bonus points if you include a story/photo from your childhood.)

Hi Pebbles Fans!  Holly here from Ribbons & Glue sharing a Fall Leaves Card made with the Harvest Collection.

Fall Leaves Card made with @pebblesinc Harvest wood veneer leaves by @ribbonsandglue

It’s not quite Christmas yet so there’s still plenty of time to enjoy Fall crafts and cards.    These wood veneer  leaves are such a pretty and natural element to create with too.

Stamped Wood Veneer Leaves from @pebblesinc Harvest collection created by @ribbonsandglue

To add details on to the wood leaves, I inked the edges with brown ink and stamped a sentiment.

I adhered the  leaves on to the front of the card and added some foam dots behind a few of the leaves as well as twine and enamel dots to provide dimension.

Hello Pebbles fans! Amy here from The Happy Scraps today. I love this time of year! I love the crispness in the air, all that comes with the Thanksgiving season, and of course paper crafting. Today I’m excited to share the tutorial with you for this DIY Blessed Banner using the beautiful Pebbles Harvest Collection.

Use the #Harvest collection to create this beautiful BLESSED Banner with the tutorial from @thehappyscraps on the @pebblesinc blog.

I went through the Harvest collection and found some patterned paper that I knew I might use in making this banner. I also picked out some fun embellishments.

I cut my paper down to 5″ x 6″.

Using the We R Memory Keepers Banner Punch Board, I cut my banner pieces and punched the holes in the top.

Here are the pieces all cut.

I used some brown ink to ink the edges of the banner pieces.

Next I used back side of the Harvest Scattered Leaves Cardstock to cut some pieces to 3.5″ x 3″.

I used the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper to round the corners of my little cards. Once the corners were rounded, I used the brown ink the ink the edges of these as well.

I used my electronic die cutting machine to cut out the letters to spell BLESSED. I cut these letters out of the Harvest Cutting Board Cardstock. I grabbed some dimensional adhesive so adhere these to the banner pieces.

I placed dimensional adhesive on each corner of my card.

I attached the card, then used dimensional adhesive on the back of the letters.

Then attached the letters to the banner.

Now comes the really fun part. The embellishments. I used the Harvest Enamel Dots along with the Wood Veneer Leaves.

I attached the embellishments, alternating the colors of the enamel dots I used on each piece.

Last, I used some brown baker’s twine to string the banner together.

Embroidery Hoop Fall Decor

Hi friends, Becki here. I’m so excited to share with you this embroidery hoop Fall decor that I created with the Harvest collection. Fall is my favorite season, hands down. I love everything about it. One of my favorite things about Fall is the colors and Fall decorations.  This collection is focused on home, cooking, and baking. I created this to hang in my kitchen during Fall months.

Fall home decor created by @jbckadams for @ Pebblesinc using the new Harvest collection

I started with a few supplies from the Harvest collection.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut “Harvest.” I used a ruler to measure the width of the embroidery hoop a little below the center of the hoop.

After I had the letters cut and measured, I adhered the embroidery hoop with heavy duty liquid glue. Then I adhered the letters with dimensional adhesive.

Then I got started with the fun part, embellishments.

The big puffy “homemade sticker is my favorite part of this project. I layered it on top of a cute cutting board die cut and an apple die cut. At the bottom I adhered a branch die cut to the embroidery hoop. This die cut isn’t attached to the background paper, just to the hoop.

To finish embellishing my embroidery hoop I grabbed these three adorable spice jar die cuts.  I used some red and white twin from the Harvest collection to tie a bow around one of the jars.  I adhered these jars to the outside of the hoop. These die cuts are not adhered to the background either.

The last thing I did was cut the background paper away from the embroidery hoop with a craft knife.

Happy Fall, I’m so excited to hang this in my kitchen to enjoy during the Fall months. What is your favorite Fall decoration?
