Hello Pebbles friends! It’s Wendy Sue here with you today, sharing a quick and easy little Halloween treat/gift project. If you haven’t figured it out already, I love (love, love, love) putting together fun little treats to share with my friends, family, and neighbors! It’s all about the idea of sharing something fun and cute just to let people know I think they are special. Usually, it’s a store-bought treat that I’m sharing as well – not something that takes me tons of time to bake. And then I use my most favorite scrapbooking supplies to create gift wrap or packaging to share the treat. With Halloween just around the corner, of course I’m busy thinking of fun ways to share yummy treats with everyone! I always love the cute, whimsical artwork on the Pebbles, Inc. products, and this “Boo!” collection is no exception. I also decided to add a little bit of Halloween shine with my new favorite tool, the Minc by American Crafts! Here’s the project I whipped up:
And here’s how easy it was!
First, I pulled out my Minc, some orange and purple foil, and these awesome little treat bags
Have you used a Minc? Just in case you don’t know what it is, the Minc is a tool that allows you to add foil details to your craft projects. Pebbles has their own line of pre-printed pieces to be used along with the reactive foil and your MINC machine for easy and stylish embellishments.
Every packaged Minc item has a little heat setting number on the back of the packaging – simply dial up that number on the Minc and allow it to warm up. The light will turn green when it’s ready.
While you’re waiting, you can prep your project! You just place the pre-printed items, in this case the little gift bags, on the plastic folder that comes in the Minc.
As you can see, right now, the bags look tone-on-tone gray/black. Next, cut the foil and place it over the bags.
Close the folder and insert it into the front of the Minc.
The item is automatically “fed” through the machine and comes out the back…similar to a printer! After the item is completely finished, you simply peel back the foil. Like magic, the foil is transferred onto the product (you can also make your own projects if you have a printer that uses toner!)!!
I repeated the process with the purple foil. Peeling up the foil is my favorite part!
And here’s a look at all four of my foiled treat bags:
Of course I had to “cute-ify” them some more, so I cut apart the 3×4 tags and broke open my bag of Boo! Chips to embellish the front of each bag. And don’t you just love the bat clothespins? I do!!
Next, fill up the bags with yummy treats:
Fold over the top and add a little enamel dot to the center of the flap:
That’s it! Easy! But so stinking cute, don’t you think? Now I just need to decide which of my spooky friends will get this set of goodies.
I still have a several days until Halloween, so I’m sure there will be more treat bags in the making!
