Pumpkin Card Trio

Wendy Sue on the blog today! And fall is definitely here – the days are getting shorter, the morning air is crisp and cool and I’m craving pumpkin-flavored everything!  Even my paper-crafting has gone the way of the pumpkin!  And since I’ve been baking up a storm lately, I need to share some goodies with some friends (before I eat everything myself) – and now I have some great Fall cards to go along with the goodies!  Hello, Fall! 🙂

"Hello Fall" Pumpkin Card Set by @Wendysuea for @PebblesInc with the "DIY Home" collection

Here’s how I made this fun card trio with the “DIY Home” collection:

Step 1: Cut three pumpkin shapes from three different patterned papers from the collection – I chose to cut the shapes with my Silhouette, but you could also cut them with a metal die, or even by hand.  It’s kind of hard to tell in the photos, but the left pumpkin is cut from gold embossed specialty paper and it’s beautiful!

Step 2: Cut three card fronts from the same papers:

Step 3: Cut three of the “hello” cards from the “From Me to You” paper:

Step 4: Rub brown ink around all of the edges:

Step 5: Adding some simple machine stitching around the edge with brown thread is next:

Step 6: Now add the card front to card bases cut from kraft cardstock:

Step 7: Now start layering the pieces onto the card front – start with the main pumpkins:

Step 8: Add the stems – mix and match the papers here.  I like the sticky thumbs glue stick for adhering small pieces:

Step 9: Tie jute through 3 of the gold clips:

Step 10: Add the clips to the mini sentiment cards:

Step 11: And place them on top of the pumpkins:

Step 12: Now add coordinating Thicker letter stickers to spell “FALL” under the “hello” cards:

Step 13: Write a sweet note inside and share with a friend!

Pumpkin inspired layout

Hello everyone, this is Eva Pizarro sharing with you an easy pumpkin inspired layout with Pebbles’ new fall line: Harvest.

As some of you probably know I live in Chile and we don’t celebrate halloween or have a pumpkin season, nonetheless I thought I could use the pumpkin shape as an inspiration for my layout. I searched a simple image and cut it several times with my electronic die cutting machine.

Then I took several strips of papers and glued them to a scrap piece of paper using my Sticky Thumb adhesive. This glue is perfect, if you attach the paper while is wet the glue is permanent and if you wait until is dry it becomes repositionable.

Cut your strips of paper and attach them to your layout in different angles.

Since the background of my paper was already busy enough I left the rest of the layout very simple. I matted the photos and journal all around my page.

These pictures are from our national holidays (18th and 19th September), we grill and eat. It is a great way to start the spring season here in Chile!

I used my enamel dots in two of my corners.

And these great alphas for my title. Love that chalkboard look!

To embellish the center of my pictures and give some dimension to my page. I used some layered stickers

Easy Neighbor Gift

Hey everybody, Becki here to share one of my favorite recipes that I turned into an easy neighbor gift. When Fall arrives, I always turn to comfort food, and nothing is more comforting than chocolate chip cookies. The favorite recipe around our house is Monster cookies. I love this recipe because it makes a HUGE batch of cookies. I usually freeze more than half of the dough. It’s nice to have frozen cookie dough in the freezer for those days when you really need cookies but don’t want the mess of making cookies. It’s also great to have on hand when you need an quick and easy gift.

Using my Monster cookies recipe I created this cute dish of cookies to share with my neighbors. It was so EASY! It took me less than 15 minutes to put this together after the cookies were done.

Easy Neighbor Gift by @jbckadams (Becki Adams) for @pebblesinc using the Harvest collectionI used tons of supplies from the Harvest collection including the adorable cookie bags. These bags made this project SO easy. They even come with adhesive, making closing the bag a piece of cake.

I embellished each cookie bag a little bit differently.

Easy Neighbor Gift by @jbckadams (Becki Adams) for @pebblesinc using the Harvest collectionThis adorable tag comes in the package with the cookie bags. I just added some twine (also from the Harvest collection) and a couple of staples.

Easy Neighbor Gift by @jbckadams (Becki Adams) for @pebblesinc using the Harvest collectionI used twine to tie around this bag also and added a scalloped circle tag with a sticker (from the sticker book) to the middle of the bag.
