Halloween Treat Cards

Hello, Amy here from The Happy Scraps. Today I’m going to show you how I put these bright and colorful Halloween Treat Cards together. Using the Pebbles BOO! Collection, some suckers and a few other supplies.

I found some coordinating cardstock for the Halloween paper I was using, and trimmed it to be a card base for a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card. I cut a piece of BOO! Trick or Treat paper to fit the front of the card, along with a smaller piece of BOO! Confettis paper.

I inked the edges of each piece with some black ink.

I applied some BOO! glow in the dark chipboard thickers to the smaller piece of paper for the front of the card.

Using adhesive dots I attached the larger piece of paper to the card base, then using raised adhesive dots, I attached the smaller piece of paper to the front of the card.

Your card is almost done.

All that’s left to do is attach a treat to the card. I made some suckers in Halloween colors that I thought would be fun to attach to the cards. I used adhesive dots to attach the sucker.

This next card is fun because it uses the magical Heidi Swapp Minc Foil Applicator. I did the same thing as above, finding a coordinating card base and a couple of papers from the BOO! Collection that I wanted to use. I also used one of the Pebbles labels for the Minc Foil Applicator.

I inked the edges of the paper, the attached them to the card front.

I placed adhesive dots on the corners of the back of the label that I added foil to.

Then attached it to the front of the card.

Then last of all, use adhesive dots to attach the sucker to the front of the card.

You have a couple of cute cards now that you could give to your kids, friends, family, etc. with the treat already attached

Quick Halloween Gift Bags

Hello Pebbles friends!  It’s Wendy Sue here with you today, sharing a quick and easy little Halloween treat/gift project.  If you haven’t figured it out already, I love (love, love, love) putting together fun little treats to share with my friends, family, and neighbors!  It’s all about the idea of sharing something fun and cute just to let people know I think they are special. Usually, it’s a store-bought treat that I’m sharing as well – not something that takes me tons of time to bake. And then I  use my most favorite scrapbooking supplies to create gift wrap or packaging to share the treat. With Halloween just around the corner, of course I’m busy thinking of fun ways to share yummy treats with everyone!  I always love the cute, whimsical artwork on the Pebbles, Inc. products, and this “Boo!” collection is no exception.  I also decided to add a little bit of Halloween shine with my new favorite tool, the Minc by American Crafts!  Here’s the project I whipped up:

And here’s how easy it was!

First, I pulled out my Minc, some orange and purple foil, and these awesome little treat bags

Have you used a Minc?  Just in case you don’t know what it is, the Minc is a tool that allows you to add foil details to your craft projects.  Pebbles has their own line of pre-printed pieces to be used along with the reactive foil and your MINC machine for easy and stylish embellishments.

Every packaged Minc item has a little heat setting number on the back of the packaging – simply dial up that number on the Minc and allow it to warm up.  The light will turn green when it’s ready.

While you’re waiting, you can prep your project!  You just place the pre-printed items, in this case the little gift bags, on the plastic folder that comes in the Minc.quick and easy treat gifts by @wendysuea with the "Boo!" collection by @pebblesinc

As you can see, right now, the bags look tone-on-tone gray/black.  Next, cut the foil and place it over the bags.

Close the folder and insert it into the front of the Minc.

The item is automatically “fed” through the machine and comes out the back…similar to a printer!  After the item is completely finished, you simply peel back the foil.  Like magic, the foil is transferred onto the product (you can also make your own projects if you have a printer that uses toner!)!!

I repeated the process with the purple foil. Peeling up the foil is my favorite part!

And here’s a look at all four of my foiled treat bags:

Of course I had to “cute-ify” them some more, so I cut apart the 3×4 tags and broke open my bag of Boo! Chips to embellish the front of each bag.  And don’t you just love the bat clothespins?  I do!!

Next, fill up the bags with yummy treats:

Fold over the top and add a little enamel dot to the center of the flap:

That’s it!  Easy!  But so stinking cute, don’t you think?  Now I just need to decide which of my spooky friends will get this set of goodies.

I still have a several days until Halloween, so I’m sure there will be more treat bags in the making!

Halloween Candle Holders

Hello Pebbles’ fans, I’m Eva Pizarro and today I am bringing you a quick tutorial on how to make candle holders and decorate your home during the holidays.

I had a baby a few months ago, and now I have so MANY baby food jars! I don’t throw them away because I know I can use them for something fun and creative! These candle holders were the perfect craft to help me use some of them and decorate my house.

I am using the new Boo! collection from Pebbles and because it has so many gorgeous embellishments I was able to make these candle holders really quickly.

For this one I simply took some of the washi tape strips and applied them around the jar.

Keep adding washi tape until you reach the top of your jar.

To make the next one, I glued some spider webs I found in the Chips pack and embellished them with spiders.

For the last one I decided to use my enamel dots and just glued them randomly around the jar.

You can leave the jars like this, or if you want to hang them, just tie a piece of string around the jar with a double knot.

Wrap around one of the pieces of string and hold everything with your bat clothespins.

Then add a little candle inside! I decorated mine using the washi tape strips.

And you are done! You can arrange them on a table or hang them around the house.

I love that you can see through the embellishments when they are lit.

I hope I can inspire you to create a little something to decorate your home during these holidays! Bye!

Hi Pebbles fans!
We wanted to do something a little bit different today. We share a lot of posts showcasing product and fabulous projects, and we spend a lot of time with our Design Team (who we absolutely adore). But we rarely give you a peek inside Pebbles, so we wanted to dedicate today’s post to our in-house designers and introduce them. They’re the fabulous ladies who create the products that you use and love everyday, and we think they deserve a minute in the spotlight too.

Desirae Struthers
Hi, I’m Desirae. I’m currently a product designer on the Pebbles team at American Crafts, and I love illustrating things that make people happy. Before moving to Utah, I’ve lived in British Columbia, northern California, and Missouri. When I’m not clicking my mouse, I enjoy volunteering with kids and enjoying the great outdoors. You can check out more about Desirae and her fabulous designs over on her website!

Amber Rogers
West coast born girl living in a midwest Michigan world.  Started working for American Crafts and working on the pebbles brand in 2012 after marrying my husband.  Soon after giving birth to our daughter we moved from Utah to Michigan, and I’ve continued to enjoy creating and designing with the pebbles brand from the Midwest. Working for American Crafts is not a job for me, it’s more like what I’d rather do when I have spare time.  When I’m not on the job as a designer I love spending time with my family; going to museums, traveling, cooking, & spending time outside.

We hope you enjoyed getting to know our incredible in-house designers a little bit better. We sure do love these gals and can’t wait for the next incredible collection they cook up for us!
