Hi Pebbles Fans!  Holly here from Ribbons & Glue sharing with you a Cookie in a Jar gift idea made with the Pebbles Inc Harvest collection.

Easy Cookie in a Jar gift made with the @pebblesinc Harvest collection by @ribbonsandglue

Recipes has been the theme this week on Pebbles blog and since Fall is here, it’s also that time of year when people like to bake and give gifts to special people in their life to show gratitude.   I don’t actually have a homemade recipe to share but I do have a {store bought} Cookie Mix in a Jar that will definitely  do the job.

To embellish the Mason Jar, I covered the lid with patterned paper and adhered a wood veneer leaf on top using sticky thumb dots.

Even though it’s a store bought cookie mix, it still requires instructions on how to make the cookies so I created a simple card by cutting out two Journaling Cards and…

stitched them together using my sewing machine.

Inside the card, I wrote the instructions on how to make the cookie mix then, adhered a Harvest Label sticker inside.

The  outside of the jar is wrapped  with raffia and I adhered a Harvest Fabric Sticker on the front.

These butterscotch cookies are technically not a homemade recipe but you’d never know by they way they look!

Homemade Banana Bread layout

Hi, Renee here today sharing a step-by-step tutorial of this favorite recipe layout using the Harvest collection.  I am not the best cook.  There are a few things I cook really well, but my favorite food is not even cooked by me.  My girls and hubby make me THE best banana bread!  The best!  I always love it when they make a loaf of banana bread just for me.  I don’t know what it is…they make it perfect every time!  Gimme a thick slice of their homemade banana bread and a glass of milk and I’m a happy girl.

I created this layout to share the simple recipe and (yummy) photo.

‘Tis the season for pumpkin spice everything! The arrival of pumpkin spice goodies is a sure sign that fall has arrived. The deep flavors and rich fall colors of pumpkin spiced baked goods are absolutely irresistible. Amanda here today with some pumpkin spice inspired cards and a super yummy pumpkin cake recipe.

Inspired by a way delicious pumpkin cake I made last week, I thought it would be fun to make some pumpkin spice inspired thank you cards for Fall. I dug through Pebbles’ Harvest collection for deep yellow and orange pumpkin spice colored patterned papers and embellishments.

Really great cards don’t have to be complicated. Attach a journaling card to the front of a card with a clip and you have a super easy and sophisticated card (Amy uses the same technique in this post HERE). Add some texture by adding stitching detail and a jute twine bow.

Adding fibers to a card gives a flat card warmth and dimension. Simply wind some twine around your hand and place beneath an embellishment.

You can also add texture to a card using Pebbles delicious flour sack labels.

Choosing the right adhesive can make or break a project. A little bit of double sided adhesive tape on the back of a patterned paper panel holds everything in place until you stitch the border of the card. Crafty Tip: Strategically place adhesive away from the areas where you will be stitching so you don’t gum up your sewing machine.

Raised sticky dots are perfect for adhering cardstock embellishments to cards. Add a few well placed raised sticky dots to your embellishment and place directly on top of the twine to hold the twine in place.

Adhere bows to cards with a dab of liquid adhesive. This glue also dries clear so you won’t even notice the glue blob.

Now this is what you’ve been waiting for–the pumpkin cake that inspired it all. I recommend making at least two. Yum!

DIY Recipe Card Holder

Hello Pebbles fans! Amy from The Happy Scraps here today, and I’m excited to be sharing this simple DIY Recipe Card Holder with you today. The Harvest line is great for Fall, but it’s also perfect for anything in your kitchen.

I collected a few supplies out of the line that I thought might be fun to use for this project. I didn’t use all that are pictured below, but I did use some.

I started out by painting my wood block. I painted it a light ivory color, so it would match the off white color in the Harvest collection. Once the paint was dry, I applied the Harvest Alpha Thickers to spell the word yummy.

Next I cut a piece of the Apple Crisp paper to fit my magnet board. I used spray adhesive to adhere it to the metal.

I picked out a few of the Harvest Chips Die Cut Shapes that I wanted to use to make some magnets for the magnet board. I used the Harvest Wood Mounted Stamps, and grabbed the silverware stamp to stamp on the cutting board die cut, and then I used Sticky Thumb sticky dots to adhere the magnets to the back of the die cut shapes. Aren’t these die cuts the cutest?!

I cut out one of the cards from the Harvest Recipe Cards paper and wrote out one of my very favorite recipes, it’s dinner rolls out of my great grandmas cookbook. Then I put it on the magnet board, holding it on with the cute magnets.

I can’t wait to cook and have my recipes displayed on this cute recipe card holder. What recipe would you make first using this fun recipe card holder?

A Favorite Recipe Quick Gift

Hi there, Pebbles friends!  It’s Wendy Sue here today, excited to share one of my favorite recent projects!  Do you have a favorite Fall recipe?  One that you make over and over?  I sure do – my mom’s pumpkin cookie recipe!  Seriously, I’ve made it more than any other recipe in my entire life.  I’ve already made it three times since school started! And I’ve eaten more than my fair share – but I also love to make this recipe to share with friends, neighbors, and co-workers.  I’ve yet to meet anyone who didn’t love these cookies…which makes it even more fun to make and share!  Since I make it so often, I thought it would be fun to make a little recipe art and leave it out on my kitchen counter all season long.  This is what I came up with, using the new Harvest Collection:

A quick gift with a favorite recipe - project created by @wendysuea with the "Harvest" collection by @pebblesinc!A quick gift with a favorite recipe - project created by @wendysuea with the "Harvest" collection by @pebblesinc!

You can make it too – with my recipe – or one of your favorites!  Here’s how:

Start with your recipe, of course.  You can use your original copy if you like…or you could rewrite it on these super fun pre-printed cards with your favorite pen.  I also embellished the cards a bit with fabric stickers and dimensional stickers!

(these project life pens are my favorite – the 01 size is ideal for my journaling/recipe writing).

Next, use the recipe card die to cut a piece of patterned paper as the base of your project.

Now, you will want to use a really good, strong adhesive to add the paper to your wood frame.  I love, love, love the new Sticky Thumb cordless hot glue gun – it’s seriously making my crafty life so much easier!

A quick gift with a favorite recipe - project created by @wendysuea with the "Harvest" collection by @pebblesinc!

After gluing this piece to the wood (right over the opening), add some fun die-cut pieces to two corners:

I used a sewing machine to stitch my two recipe cards together at the top – then I glued them right to the center of the patterned piece:

I just had to use some of these colorful dots to embellish the die cut shapes too!

And now for the GIFT part of my project! My favorite way to share cookies is stacked!  I have a huge roll of cellophane that I cut to wrap around a stack of delicious cookies – and I tie the top closed.

A quick gift with a favorite recipe - project created by @wendysuea with the "Harvest" collection by @pebblesinc!

Now anyone would be happy to get these yummy cookies, just like this…but I can’t give them away quite yet.  I must make them cuter!  I cut out the preprinted tags from the 12×12 sheet, added a sticker, and a super fun wooden leaf.  Of course, I attached the wood piece with my favorite glue!

After layering and gluing all of the tags,

I tied them right onto the cookie stacks with fun baker’s twine:

And now I’m off…because I have cookies to deliver!
