“Happy Day” Card Set

Hello Pebbles friends, it’s Wendy Sue, so happy to be here with you today!  I just love having fun cards on-hand so I can write in one to share with a friend…any old time!  The “Happy Day” collection is one of my all-time favorites from Pebbles, so I decided to pull it out and add some cards to my stash.  When I’m making cards in bulk, I like to use the same basic design and then just vary the papers and embellishments.  Here’s the set I created today:

And, just in case you’re interested in my process…here you go:

Start by cutting a 2″ square phrase from the patterned paper, and cut two 2″ strips from papers in the 6×6 pad.  layer them together and glue.

Next, place the strip on a card front – which was made by layering two additional coordinating papers together to create a 4″ x 5 1/4″ base.  This time I placed the strip on an angle, and then trim off the edges.

Adding machine stitching is always optional…but I almost always opt for it!  I love the look of it, and enjoy the tiny bit of texture.  It makes handmade cards feel even more “warm & fuzzy” to me.

Now it’s time to place a sticker near the sentiment.  I like to add my stickers with foam adhesive.  And cut some little banners from strips of paper for the empty space at the top.

Finally, complete the card by placing the entire piece on a white card base (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″).

And repeat the process for as many cards as you want to create!

A set of cards like this, wrapped together and tied with jute, would make a lovely gift as well – I’m thinking teachers might especially appreciate a cute little stack of notecards!

Beach Fun in the Sun

Hello there!  It’s Mendi here today with a quick and simple summer themed layout using more of my favorite Fun In The Sun collection!

Summer Beach Layout by Mendi Yoshikawa using the #FunInTheSun collection from @PebblesInc. @SnippetsByMendi

I created my visual triangle groupings using the adorable die-cuts and layered stickers from the line.  I like to reduce the white outlines when possible around my cuts so I chose to fussy cut them  a bit with my scissors.

My title was made easy by one of the great titles provided in the Chips pack.  I paired it with some flip-flops from the layered sticker pack which I dressed up with some punched flowers and enamel dots.

For the third corner of my visual triangle I turned to We R Memory Keepers Banner Punch Board.  Not only does this fun tool create large banners, but it can make them as small as one inch wide for your cards and scrapbook pages!  Isn’t that cool?  For mine I thought it would be fun to add a pair of die-cut sunglasses “hanging” from the line.  To add some more dimension to coated the lenses with Glossy Accents.  I love the detail this gives them in person.

I thought I would share some close up photos of how I used the newest punch board to make my banners.  For the flag style, I cut my paper strip to 1-inch wide and set it down on the board using the 6.5″ guideline in the board.

I closed the magnetic lid and inserted the blade into the channel and cut from one outer edge to the center and then from the other outer edge to the center.

For the Pennant style banner I used the second end, lining it up at the 1.5 inch mark.

I then repeated the same process, starting at the top right corner and then down again for the top left corner.

In just a matter of seconds I had little banner pieces that look like these that were made to perfectly match my layout.  🙂

Before I go, I have a quick card to share using a few scraps I had leftover from the collection.  The card’s sentiment serves as sort of a pep talk for myself today.  It is with a very heavy heart I have made the decision to step down from the Pebbles team in the coming year.  I am sooo thankful to everyone at Pebbles for taking a chance on me and allowing me to work with this amazing company over the past year.  I  just love the Pebbles family & all their darling products so it’s really hard to say goodbye…  I hope you will stop by my blog as I share some news about the next exciting chapter of my life.  😉

Enamel Dots layout

Hello everyone! I’m Eva Pizarro and today I want to show you how to do this fun layout using a lot of enamel dots from different Pebbles Inc. collections.

Enamel dots are super fun and Pebbles has them in many beautiful colors. I love how they add dimension and texture to your projects.

Start by dividing your shape, in my case a heart, in many different sections.

Enamel Dots Layout by @evapizarrov using #FunInTheSun collection by @pebblesinc

Cut those shapes and use them as guides to cut your patterned paper. Use paper with tone on tone designs – the B sides of the papers are perfect for this. Adhere the paper to your background leaving a small space between them.

Adhere the enamel dots trying to match the color of your paper. Combine different sizes.

Now embellish your layout with title and some stickers.

I cut an overlay from the Home Grown collection to embellish the corner.

Since the dots are flat you can layer other things on top easily, like I did with my title.

I love how the tone on tone dots look!

Fun in the Sun with Becky Williams

Hello! Becky Williams here, guest designing for Pebbles! Today I’d like to share some projects that I created using the cute “Fun in the Sun” collection. This bright, cheery collection is perfect for scrapping sunny day memories, creating cute cards and for everyday projects.
First I will share with you some cards that I made using the diecut pack from “Fun in the Sun.” These diecut pieces allow for quick cardmaking so you can spend more time in the sun or hanging out with your loved ones I added some enamel dots, twine and bits of patterned paper for these quick cards:
My kids wanted to make some summer scrapbooks this year and I knew “Fun in the Sun” would be just the right thing to cover these basic notebooks. I used patterned paper for the covers, added some twine and diecuts and now they are ready for my girls to add pictures of summer adventures and write about some of the fun things we’ve done this year.
Last of all, I have a scrapbook page that I created:
For this page I started with a white cardstock base as I often do, trimmed that down just a bit and adhered it to this cute striped paper. I misted the white background, added strips of patterned paper from the “Fun in the Sun” collection, stickers and a couple of the adorable Thicker phrases. I added enamel dots to the flower centers to finish off the page.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Fun in the Sun with Wendy

I am so thrilled to be with you today to share some of what I have created with the amazing Fun in the Sun collection.  Hi, my name is Wendy, and I love to document our everyday with pretty papers!  For me, as a mom of 6 (and yes we homeschool), I want to document everything, but I have to be quick about my creating.

Summer Frame

Summer Frame-5
My first project came together as soon as I poured out the die-cut pieces, they just begged to be grouped together and displayed with some fun summer pictures!

Summer Frame-1
I worked on my center frame first as that was my “title” piece for the frame.  I did add/rearrange a few pieces, but mainly I stayed with my original design and I added in a little sand for a fun summer look.

Summer Frame-2
I love how the puffy stickers work so well with the die-cuts as the splashes were the same size.

Summer Frame-6
And one last frame featuring beach time.

Summer Frame-7
Summer Frame
I have found that the 3×4 cards that are made for Project Life style scrapping fit my style perfectly, they give me a quick title or saying and they are a lot of fun to layer.

Photo Bomb

Photo Bomb
I began by gathering my favorite 3×4 cards, a cute photo, die-cuts to match, and paper.  As you can see, I almost always go with my first impression and tweak that design.

Photo Bomb-1
Once my basic page is established (or my photo block as I usually refer to) I begin adding in areas of interest, usually with fun clusters. I also like to dress up my 3×4 cards to add interest.

Photo Bomb-2Photo Bomb-3

Photo Bomb-4
My last layout was created from my leftovers.  Once I begin cutting into my patterned paper I like to cut the leftovers into 3×4 and 4×6 pieces to allow me to create quickly with lots of layers like I enjoy.

Summer Chill Out

Summer Chill Out
I started layering a few fun papers with the colors I wanted to bring into my page to match my photos creating my photo block.  Then came the embellishing of the page, to add interest, and to further establish my theme.

Summer Chill Out-1
And some title work…  You can see in these details that I added some vellum, cut files, and sewing all in white for texture/interest, without taking from my page.

Summer Chill Out-2
Thanks so much for a chance to share with you today, I hope you’ve enjoyed and will take some time to document your everyday!
