Hi Pebbles friends! It’s Wendy Sue Anderson here with you today, sharing a fun little summer project I whipped up today. There really isn’t anything more refreshing in the summertime than a tall glass of ice cold lemonade. Unless, of course, it’s a cold bottle of sparkling lemonade – one of my favorite drinks ever! I love sharing my favorite treats with my friends and neighbors – but it’s always even more fun to share a treat that’s wrapped up to make it even more special! My project today is sharing a super quick and easy way to wrap up a fun and refreshing drink to share with a friend! Start with the drink…
Cut a block of pretty patterned paper to wrap around the bottle. I cut my paper to 6″ x 9″ to cover my ICE bottles.
Do you have some of this handy dandy red tape? If you don’t, you are really missing out – and you NEED it!
It’s sooooo strong, and really the only choice for projects like this one!
Just add a strip to one end of the back side of the paper, wrap it around the bottle and secure it well.
Now to really jazz it up, add a piece of tulle – make it long enough to wrap around the bottle a few times. Then tie it in a simple knot to secure it. Now sit it aside for a minute.
Now pull out the sticker sheet and remove the tag sticker. Since this will be tied to the front of the bottle, we don’t want the back to be sticky. To remove the stickiness, simply rub a bit of baby powder on the backside.
After the stickiness is removed, use one of the cute little quotes, cut from one of the 6×6 paper pads and attach it to the front of the tag.
Make the tag even cuter by adding one of the pre-made flowers to the front.
Now use some black string to attach the tag to the tulle.
If you’d like to personalize the bottle for the recipient, add a large letter sticker to the front of a scrap of patterned paper.
Cut the scrap into a tag shape and tie it to the top of a bottle.
See how quick that was? I love an easy summer gift! Now go ahead and make a few more…then deliver some icy cold goodness to your friends!
