Teacher Thank You Cards

Hi, Renee here to share a couple of teacher thank you cards.  It’s that time again. The school year is ending in just a few weeks and I wanted to get started on my teacher thank you cards. These cards are for Caitie and Payton’s main teachers. I used a combination of the Home Grown, Home+Made, and Cottage Living collections for them.

I used white cardstock for the bases of my 5″ x 7″ cards. This card is horizontal and will be for Payton’s teacher. His favorite color is blue. I trimmed the Family Rules pattern paper to 4 ¾” x 6 ¾” and adhered it to my card.

I added a layer of gold trim with this Gold  Chevron Foil Accent Cardstock paper. I trimmed it down to 4 ½” x 6 ½” and adhered it to the card.

I really love the stripes of the Family Rules pattern paper so I decided to use it again and just have the stripes go the other way. I trimmed it down to 4 3/8″ x 6 3/8″ and adhered it to the card. I love seeing the gold foil around the card.

To finish off the card, I added a big “Thanks” to the card. These Large Gold Alpha Stickers are just awesome.

Here’s the final card. Since it’s for a male teacher, I wanted it to be fun and simple but also have a striking design. Inside, my handwritten note of thanks for being an amazing 2nd grade teacher for Payton!

The card for Caitie’s teacher is vertical. I trimmed the Ombre Waves and Dotted Blossoms pattern papers down to 4 ¾” x 6 ¾”. Using a craft knife, I cut out a few of the triangles to allow the Dotted Blossoms paper to show through a bit. I layered the two papers together and adhered them to my card.

I added machine stitching around the card, a “thank you” sentiment, a few gold triangles (I used a cut out triangle as my template), and some gold sequins. Now, I can add my handwritten note of thanks for being an amazing 4th grade teacher for Caitie!
