Hello everyone! I’m Eva Pizarro and today I want to show you a step by step tutorial for a layout with the beautiful Cottage Living Collection. My little baby is starting to make his first sounds and he loves to talk to me or his dad. He doesn’t like to be photographed a lot and when I managed to snap these pictures I knew I had to scrapbook them!
Prepare your background by placing some strips of patterned papers on the bottom.
Now use your die from the Cottage living collection to cut several ¨hello¨ words from different patterned papers. These words will help you create your own personalized background with the colors you want.
Place them in the upper part of your layout and stitch them to the page.
Place your photos and title in the bottom part of the layout.
Cut some flowers from one of the papers and embellish your layout.
I love to use little 3D dots to glue flowers and small pieces to give some movement to the page.
And here’s a tip to add a little more texture: stitch the words down the middle but don’t glue the edges. Instead bend them a little to give some dimension.
I hope you liked this simple layout! Dies are a perfect way to make embellishments and repeat an element in a page.
