St. Patrick’s Day Card Set

Hi Pebbles friends!  It’s Wendy Sue here with you today. 🙂  I’m having a hard time believing it’s already March – I am pretty sure some pesky little leprechaun is playing a trick on me and fast-forwarding my clock these days!  No matter, I’m still trying to take advantage of every minute, and celebrate each and every day!  Some days are extra-special days, like holidays, and that’s when I like to take a moment to do something extra-special for friends and family.  By planning ahead a little bit, I was able to get a jump-start on that sneaky little trickster and get at least two St. Patrick’s Day cards completed!

I really like the non-traditional shade of green in these papers.  Though it’s more “minty” than “grassy,” I thought it was perfect for these themed cards – especially when paired with the gold in this collection too!

I used the long banner die to create the “lucky” flag bases for my cards.  I simply cut three banners:

And then I used scissors to cut them in half:

I added the printed foil letter stickers to spell out “LUCKY.”

Each flag was attached to the card base with a foam adhesive dot (one of my favorite things to do)!

I like to start with the center flag…

…and work my way out to the edges.  This allows the entire banner to be centered.

Next,  I added the “me” which is actually the end of the word “awesome” (and “home” for the other card)!

It’s fun to use stickers in ways they were not originally intended. 🙂

Finally, since I wanted the base of my card to be black cardstock, I wanted to make sure it was easy to write (and read) a message inside the card.  I simply cut a block of white cardstock to glue inside the card.  To carry the “gold” theme to the inside, I opted to use one of the oversized paper clips from this collection in the corner of the card.

I followed the same method to make the second card:

I can’t wait to share these cards with some of the people who make me feel lucky every single day – won’t you do the same?!?
