Snow Day Layout

Hello Pebbles friends!  It’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing a layout featuring photos of my kiddos out in the snow!  Is it snowy in your neck of the woods?  It has been such a mild winter so far here this year, we have only received two big storms this season – one on Christmas day and another just last week.  Right now it’s looking like a winter wonderland outside, but it took a lot longer than it usually does.  In fact, we’ve been so “snowless” that I haven’t even taken any snow pictures of my kids this year – these are from last year…but I’m glad I waited to scrap them because I am loving the woodgrain paper and letters from the “Happy Day” collection with these photos!

Here are a few fun & easy little designer tips I used on this layout:

1. I used a steel snowflake die to cut several snowflakes from the “Sunday Paper” text patterned paper.  Don’t be afraid to use subtle patterned papers for accents that are traditionally solid colors – it adds a touch of fun and whimsy!  Also,  I added some (not all) of them with pop dots for a bit of added dimension.

2. I bet you noticed the epoxy dots I scattered among the snowflakes…but did you notice that I added some  dots from the woodgrain letter sticker pages too?  Most letter stickers, especially Thickers, are great for creating “faux” epoxy dots – there are always dots for the i’s and j’s, plus periods and exclamation points too.

I used some of the little asterisks, or stars, from the letter sticker sheets as well – can you spot the visual triangle I created with them?

3. And one final tip for frugal paper crafters.  At the bottom of each 12×12 page, you’ll find a tear strip (pictured below).  We cut them off when we’re ready to create something with our beautiful papers.

BUT did you know that the backside of each tear strip is printed with a coordinating, and really fun, color, pattern, and/or design?

I used two of them for the border on the left side of the photos of my layout.  There are so many fun ways you could use these strips – so be sure to hang on to them for another project!

Winter Snow Themed Gift Packaging by Mendi Yoshikawa using #HomeForChristmas & #BirthdayWishes collection from @PebblesInc. @SnippetsByMendi

Hello there! It’s Mendi here today with some snowflake themed gift packaging perfect for your Winter Birthday gift giving needs.

Up first I have a little gift bag I created with We R Memory Keepers Gift Bag Punch Board and some papers from Pebbles Birthday Wishes collection. I love how the addition of a simple snowflake punch gives these versatile papers a completely new look!

I cut an extra 12″ x 1.75″ strip from the polka-dot paper and punched a scalloped edge with a border punch. I was then able to use the punch board to add the score lines and adhere it to the top of my little bag for a fun decorative element.

To give my layered snowflake punches a little pizzazz, I added some glitter glue to my punched pieces and topped them with an over-sized sequin and rhinestone. When they were completely dry, I adhered them to a bow on the front of my bag with a fast drying liquid adhesive.

For my other little gift box, I used We R Memory Keepers Pillow Box Punch Board and set to work decorating it using more basic snowflake punches in my stash and some cute “to” and “from” stamps by Lawn Fawn.

To create the perfect sized belly band around my pillow box, I was able to use the same punch board to score my lines using my completed pillow box as a guide. I love when I’m able to perform multiple tasks using one tool!

Holly here from Ribbons & Glue sharing with you today a “Snow Cute” box card made with the Pebbles Inc Home for Christmas and Home + Made collections. I have to admit, as I was making this Snow Day card , it’s was a sunny, 60 degree day  in Southern NV.  Definitely not a Snow Day  but snowman are still cute any day of the year.

The box card is made from a Flower Pot Box Card cut file by Lori Whitlock  that I altered using my Silhouette.  I  embellished the inside of the card with  Home for Christmas Chips and covered the outside of the box card with Home + Made wood-grain paper and Home for Christmas Snow Flurries paper.

Enhanced die cut Chips from the @pebblesinc Home for Christmas collection by @ribbonsandglue

The Pebbles Inc collections almost always contain die cut shape Chips that can be easily enhanced.  I added black glitter glue on to the Snowman’s buttons and enhanced the scarf and trees using a white gel pen.

When the card is folded flat,   the beautiful wood grain paper and a stamped sentiment greet you.

Hi everyone, this is Eva Pizarro and today I want to show you how to make a perfect small gift or favor for this winter. I started by cutting my paper to 6×6 inches, and I used my Pillow Box Punch Board to make the gift boxes.

Cut a piece of vellum and score it with the board.

Gather some tags, twine and cut some shapes from the Christmas paper to embellish your gift.

Fill the boxes with whatever you want! I included some hot chocolate mix, mini marshmallows and some spices like cinnamon and cloves.

These are very easy and with the punch board you can make them super quickly. Have a great week!

Snow Cute Layout

Hello! It’s Renee here today to share a snow cute snow day layout I put together using a few photos of this kiddo making snow angels.  Even though she’s having fun in the wintery snow, why not use products that do not have a winter or Christmas theme attached to it?  I used the new Happy Day and We Go Together collections for this layout.

PaytonSnowAngel

I printed off four photos and used the We R Memory Keepers 3 x 4 Card Punch (Straight Corner) to make even cuts to make a grid.

Here’s how I put this layout together.  I layered my photos with the beautiful gray and pinks of the Be Mine (measures  6 3/8 ” x 8 3/8″) and We Go Together (measures 7″ x 9″) papers.

I measured and marked where I wanted to center my layers.

Fun part!  I stamped and heat embossed snowflakes all around this pretty Wood Fire Pizza paper.  Gosh, I love this woodgrain paper.  Then, all I had left to do was to trim off the bottom strip, adhere my layers, add my title, stamp the date, and sprinkle cute Enamel Dots around the page.  Simple, quick, and a whole lot of fun.

Hope you enjoyed my Snow Cute layout and I hope you have a chance to enjoy and document the winter snow fun (where you are).
