Hi Pebbles friends – it’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing a really fun and easy ornament project that is perfect to create for this holiday season! These star ornaments are festive and fun and easy enough for the kiddos to help. You can use them as an ornament, a gift topper, or even all strung together to create a garland.
Are you ready to see how easy-peasy they are?
Here’s what you’ll need to create them:
Step 1: Cut star shapes out of patterned papers. I made mine about 7″ across.
Step 2: Score the star from each tip all the way down, for a total of five score lines:
Step 3: Fold on the score lines, accordion style – hills from the points to the center, valleys in between:
Step 4: Now use the little hole punch to punch one hole in the bottom “valley” and two holes near the top point:
Step 5: Cut a length of baker’s twine and loop the top, tying a secure knot:
Step 6: Now thread the baker’s twine through the holes in the star:
Step 7: Add some liquid glue over the holes to secure the twine. Otherwise when the star is hanging it will slowly slide down the twine:
Step 8: Add two chalkboard envelope seals, back-to-back, with the twine sandwiched in the middle:
Trim off the excess twine and hang them up on your tree:
