Mini Clothespin Christmas Card Set

Hello! It’s Becki here to share with you a card set that I created using some mini clothespins from the American collection.

MiniClothesPins-03

This card set is the first project I created with the new Christmas collection. This is the perfect traditional Christmas collection. It has the perfect reds and greens with a touch of blue and black.

To go with this set of cards I also created a small gift bag.

Christmas Card set created for @Pebblesinc by @BeckiAdamsThe gift bag has a pocket tag on the front of the bag to hold a greeting. After the card set is used the gift bag can still be used for another special little gift.

All these cards are very simple using only a die cut, a clothes pin, and a bit of twine.

I turned the clothes pin on its side to make the top of the card more interesting and have a little more texture.

Party Favor Bags

Amanda here today and I am crazy for Pebbles’ treat bags!  They come in a variety of fun patterns and can package up gifts in several different ways.

MiniClothesPins-03

Today I will be showing you how to package up the same treat bag in three different ways using mini clothespins to secure tags and labels to each bag.

Party Favor Bags by @popperandmimi using @PebblesInc Birthday Wishes collectionOne of my favorite ways to secure a tag or label to a treat bag is with a mini clothes pin.  It eliminates the need for a permanent closure, making it easy for the recipient to get into their goodies and save some for later.

Party Favor Bags by @popperandmimi using @PebblesInc Birthday Wishes collectionThe easiest way to package treats is to fold over the top of the bag and secure the bag and tag with a clothes pin.  Embellish your tags with die cuts, popping up some with foam to add dimension.

Party Favor Bags by @popperandmimi using @PebblesInc Birthday Wishes collectionI love scrunching the top of my treat bags to make them look like a sack full of goodies.  Tie the bag closed with a piece of baker’s twine and add a tag to the twine with a mini clothes pin.

Party Favor Bags by @popperandmimi using @PebblesInc Birthday Wishes collectionAnother fun way to package up goodies in a treat bag is to crease and fold the bag so it stands like a lunch bag.  This is a great way to package treats that need to stand upright.  I topped this bag with a folded circle and some fun die cuts.

Party Favor Bags by @popperandmimi using @PebblesInc Birthday Wishes collectionTo create a stand up bag out of a flat treat bag, start by folding in the sides of the bag about 3/4″.  This creates the creases that you’ll need to help form your bag.

Party Favor Bags by @popperandmimi using @PebblesInc Birthday Wishes collectionNext, fold the bottom of the bag 3/4″ creating another crease.  The most important thing to do is to make all of your folds the same depth so all of your creases line up.

Party Favor Bags by @popperandmimi using @PebblesInc Birthday Wishes collectionAfter you have created creases in your bag, open the bag and make nice creases all the way around the bag, creating little triangles at the base of the bag.

Party Favor Bags by @popperandmimi using @PebblesInc Birthday Wishes collectionSecure the triangles to the bottom of the bag with transparent tape.

Party Favor Bags by @popperandmimi using @PebblesInc Birthday Wishes collectionNow your bag should stand up nicely and look like a pretty little lunch bag.  Fill with presents, goodies, or gift cards!

Have a great day!

Pumpkin Carving Layout with Coordinating Mini Clothespins

Hello Pebbles friends!  It’s Wendy Sue here with you today, sharing a layout all about our Halloween pumpkins from last year!

MiniClothesPins-03

My assignment was to use mini clothespins on my layout…and at first I panicked because I wanted to create a Fall or Halloween layout, but those collections didn’t have any clothespins in them.  Then I had one of those “shoulda had a v-8” head-slapping moments and realized that I could alter any clothespin to coordinate with the collection I wanted to use, which, in this case, is the Thirty-One Collection!

As you can see, I used clothespins to anchor each collage of numbered tags featured over each photograph.

My first inclination was to use patterned paper to embellish the wooden clothespins, but after adding the gold Thickers for my title, I changed my mind.

I really like the “POP” from the gold glitter addition to the clothespins.

And they were easier to create than you might think!  Here’s how:

First, choose any mini clothespin you’d like to use.  Here’s a link to all of the styles and colors available from Pebbles: Clothespins!

Next, choose a sticker or patterned paper that coordinates with the products you are using for your project.  In this case, I chose the Phrase & Accent Stickers from the Jen Hadfield Home + Made Collection – because I wanted to use the gold glitter banner stickers to cover my clothespins.

After removing the sticker from the sheet, I simply flipped it over to the back-side and traced around the clothespin with a pen.

Next, simply cut the piece from the sticker (or patterned paper).

Finally, attach the piece to the top of the clothespin.  You could cut away the piece that goes over the wire of the clothespin, if you prefer, but I like the nice, smooth surface.

And that’s all there is to it!  Now you can have perfectly coordinating clothespins for any project!
