Back to School Cards

Good morning!! Becki Adams here. Have your kids gone back to school yet? I created two cards to put into my kids’ lunch boxes on their first day of school. My 4th grader is going to love it, but I’m pretty sure my 7th grader will think that he’s a little too old for getting notes from mom in his lunch box.

I created a card using real crayons. I love the dimension and practicality it gave to the card. My little girl can use the crayons off the card if she chooses to.

I used a tape runner to adhere the crayons to the card and they are not attached to the sticker. I mounted the sticker onto a piece of patterned paper.

I stacked two pieces of foam adhesive together and laid it over the top of the crayons. The foam adhesive is the only adhesive adhering the sticker to the card.

The second card I created only uses patterned paper, stickers, a button, and a paper doily.

I machine stitched the patterned paper to the card and I was finished. I’m so thrilled with how these cards turned out. They were so easy to create!

Hi everyone! Amanda here today with a fun and easy DIY back to school chalkboard project.

During the school year I constantly nag my kids to get their homework and chores finished before bedtime. Their biggest excuse is that they “forget” so I created an erasable chalkboard to help them “remember” and to help me cut down on the nagging.

Recently I was browsing the school supplies section at my local store and picked up a clipboard. Not because I needed a clipboard but because I wanted a clipboard. It wasn’t until a few days later as it sat around home that I came up with the idea of turning it into a chalkboard. With a few basic crafting supplies and some chalkboard paint, I turned it into a colorful chalkboard to help keep the kids organized during the upcoming school year.

I personalized the chalkboard using some brightly colored Thickers. Adding each kid’s name will help ensure there is no confusion when it comes to chore time.

I added some more color and texture by tying pieces of ribbon around the clip on the clipboard.

Back-to-School Clipboard by Amanda Coleman using #BirthdayWishes collection from @PebblesInc I adhered a handful of colorful buttons to act as bullet points for my daughter’s to-do list.

Painting a clipboard with chalkboard paint is simple. I simply applied two coats of chalkboard paint with a foam craft brush.

Before I painted the clipboard with chalkboard paint, I masked off the clip with some washi tape.

I embellished the clip by tying on strips of ribbon. Each piece of ribbon is about 5″ long and is tied to the clip with a single knot.

Although the clip on the clipboard is covered with ribbon, it is still functional. Use the clip to help the kids remember what they need to take to school the next day.

Step by Step Back to School layout

Hi everyone! This is Eva Pizarro and today I wanted to show a step by step tutorial of this back to school layout. This line is super cute and perfect for your school photos, my favorite are those little stickers with apples, stars, etc.

To do this layout you will need:

back to school papers
Back to School embellishments
a background cut with an electronic cutting machine

Step by Step layout by @evapizarrov using the #backtoschool line by @pebblesinc

Star with a white background and attach some rulers cut from the patterned paper to the top and bottom of your page

Cover some spaces in your background with some patterned paper circles and attach to your layout.

Attach your photo and use one of the stickers as your title. I wanted to use some foam dots underneath the sticker so I sprinkled it with some baby powder first.

Embellish with some of those cute mini stickers. I also used some foam dots to give dimension.

Finish your layout with the year (I used the Birthday Wishes Alphas) and some final touches here and there.

I Love School Layout

Back to School is often a happy, exciting, and fun time. And, is often filled with feelings of butterflies-in-your-stomach, too. Renee Zwirek is sharing a first day of school layout that uses the Back to School line.

I just had to scrap these photos of my youngest daughter’s, Payton, first day of Kindergarten. Of course, she was feeling nervous and anxious on her first day. But, here you can see how brave and happy she was. The Back to School collection was the perfect complement for these photo’s with its color palette and fun school icons. I couldn’t help but use the “I love school” sticker for my title. The design and colors are too cute!

My absolute favorite is this pattern paper with the ledger design. And, the first thing I did was this stamping. I just couldn’t wait. I used the From Me to You Roller Date Stamp to document the teacher’s name, room number, and grade. It was too fun for me. Payton got so teary-eyed when she saw her old teacher’s name stamped onto the paper. She loved her so much and misses her still.

I also used a variety of Pebbles stamps for these fun phrases and dates. I especially love the “BABY’S FIRST” phrase on the Special Delivery Boy Roller Phrase and Date Stamp, because “Baby” is Payton’s nickname. Just perfect.

I loved using this frame as my journaling spot. Of course, I sprinkled these great sticker icons around my journaling. The little school bus zooming along is probably my favorite.
