We’re closing out our week featuring mini envelope projects. We’ve had lots of fun sharing them with you and hope you’ve found some inspiration. For our final feature, Designer Laurel Seabrook is showcasing a fun baby shower gift that she created using mini envelopes.
Hi everyone, Laurel here. I have a fun baby shower gift that I created for my daughter who is expecting a baby girl in September. A few years ago I created a similar project for husband for our anniversary (a prepaid date per month) and my daughter really loved it. She is not going to have a lot of extra cash so I thought she would be able to use anything to help her out.
I had this wooden box in my stash, picked it up at a garage sale.
I used some pattern paper from Garden Party to cover the box, then finished off the seams with some Washi Tape. As a final touch I added a journal card and sticker to the front.
Inside are 12 mini envelopes. One for each month, starting with September. I will insert some gift cards (Wal-Mart, Drug Store, Grocery Store, Tim Horton’s etc.) inside each little envelope so that she will be able to either treat herself now and then, or purchase some much needed supplies.
I just added bits and pieces from Garden Party and Special Delivery Girl to embellish the envelopes and then adhered a month sticker.
I hope she likes it and I also hope that this gives you some inspiration on how to use our mini envelopes!
