If you popped in yesterday, you’re aware that we’re celebrating handmade cards this week in on of World Cardmaking Day this coming Saturday.

We’re kicking off our handmade card series with a share from Design Team Member Eva Pizarro.

When I saw the frames from the From Me To You collection I knew I wanted to use them to make some shaker boxes. I also loved the little envelopes and decided to make little cards because the size was perfect! I used the gold rub-ons to include my sentiment and filled my shaker boxes with sequins.

Supplies:
FROM ME TO YOU CARDMAKING PAD (732286)
FROM ME TO YOU CARDSTOCK STICKERS (732271)
FROM ME TO YOU RUB-ONS (732273)
FROM ME TO YOU PHOTO FRAME HANG TAGS (732283)
FROM ME TO YOU MINI ENVELOPES (732284)

Welcome to World Card Making Week! All week long, we’re going to be sharing a variety of fun cards.

Wondering if we made World Card Making Week up? Well, sort of, but there actually is a real World Card Making Day that was started by Paper Crafts magazine in 2006, to celebrate the start of the busiest season for card-making in the year. World Card Making Day is this coming Saturday, October 5.

We’d really love for you to participate in the fun with us. If you’ve created a card using Pebbles products in the last little while, please come share it on our Facebook page!

In the meantime, we’re hosting a sweet little giveaway here on the blog! Enter to win three Pebbles Cardmaking pads, along with a bunch of fun embellishments.

Fall Photo Pocket Page Scrapbooking

Welcome to this week’s Saturday Share! Each weekend we share a fun photo pocket page-style layout or tip and then a tool for you to link up your pages.

This week Design Team Member Laurel Seabrook is sharing her fall photo pocket pages.

For my Project Life pages this week I chose the Front Porch collection.  It was perfect not only because of the look and feel of the paper but one night we had a raccoon on our Front Porch so what better collection to use.

When I do my Project Life pages, I lay all of my photos out on the pockets then just work on each pocket individually. I like to think of each one as it’s own card or mini page so I just play away, layering, sewing and adding any embellishments that suit the theme.  I always love how it all looks when completed.

Supplies:
Front Porch Barefoot (732321) | Front Porch Lazy (732317) | Front Porch Knock Knock (732324) | Front Porch Picnic (732322) | Front Porch Breezy (732316) | Front Porch Book Club (732325) | Front Porch Welcome (7321315) | Front Porch Home (732326) | Front Porch Porch Swing (732320) | Front Porch Cottage (732318) | Front Porch Phrase Cards (732330) | Front Porch Phrase Stickers (732328) | Front Porch Phrase and Icon Stickers (732327) | Front Porch Picture Frame Hang Tags (732331) | Front Porch Printed Chips (732335) |
American Crafts Thickers – Cherish (732332)

Non-Traditional Fall Cards

Congratulations to Evonne, who won this week’s Front Porch giveaway!

Continuing on with our fall celebration, we have Design Team Member Emily Spahn, who’s showcasing a couple of cards.

Today is National Love Note Day! I must admit, I am not much of a love note writer, so instead of a “traditional” love note, I have created two fall cards!

The first is to let someone you love know you are thinking about them, and the second is to let someone know that you love a gift they gave you or something special they did for you!

I wanted to use some “non-traditional” fall colors so that I could incorporate some of the beautiful papers in our three new lines.  I chose five mix and match papers to create my cards.

To make this a quick and easy project, I just used the same basic supplies on both cards, and simply varied the design!

My favorite discovery while making these cards? Those awesome little frame hang tags from the Front Porch line are self-adhesive!!  This made it so easy to insert my patterned paper and close them without making a sticky mess! These tags are perfect for quick cards and layouts!

Supplies:
Front Porch Cottage (732318)
Front Porch Breezy (732316)
Front Porch Phrase Stickers (732328)
Front Porch Chips Chipboard Shapes (732335)
Front Porch Photo Frame Hang Tags (732331)
Thirty-One Spooky Story (732294)
Thirty-One Dreadful (732297)
From Me to You Mail (732258)

Sweetie Pie Fall Scrapbook Page Layout

It’s always fun to see the season’s from a different perspective. Today, we get a peek at what fall in Norway is like. Design Team Member Marjan Pel is sharing a fun fall page featuring her son.

Sweetie Pie Fall Scrapbook Page Layout

My fall layout is called “Sweetie Pie.” I found some older photos of my youngest son in my photobox and I decided to scrapbook them with this fun late summer collection “Front Porch” by Pebbles.

My son was one year old when I took these two pictures at a hike in the norwegian Marka near Oslo wearing this adorable red woolen suit. The color of the suit fits the color scheme of the line perfectly.

To showcase all the beautiful patterns of the line I made three different sized pie charts and embellished the page with them.

You can find a step-by-step tutorial for these pie charts on my blog.

I used some additional chipboard shapes and made 3 flowers of punched patterned paper and bakers twine to complete the layout. The border is made with lots of washi tape in coordinating colors.
