“Today I busted out the Lakeside collection for the first time and I must say I love it.  It was perfect for these photos I have had for a few years now of a lake back home in Pennsylvania.  This layout came together simply and quickly.  I love the feel of the wood grain background paper.”  – Shawna Webster, Pebbles Design Team Member

“So, for my Free for All today I decided to do a Project Life spread.  When I started it , I didn’t think about it being the week I was on was the week we were in Las Vegas; it was just the next one I was on.  So, you guys are seeing a HUGE spread.  Normally I don’t have spreads so large.  I used a combination of Seen & Noted and Lakeside for my spread.  I love how well they mix together, and I adore the colors of both lines.  I think they are my 2 all time favorites.”  – Mandie Pierce, Pebbles Design Team Member

Sketchy Thursday

For today’s edition of “Sketchy Thursday” we asked some of our design team members to create a project based on this exclusive sketch by Becky Fleck.

“I loved working with this sketch. It was a perfect fit for a ‘fun in the sun’ layout. I just had to use the Pool theme from the Party with Amy Locurto collection for this layout of my girls having some summertime fun at the pool. I stitched some clouds, using a cloud punch as a quick template, and added a pretty sun to shine on my girls. I clustered a paper flower, a round sticker, ice cream, and some flowers off to the top right of the page. Then, I layered a couple of tags, pattern paper, paper flower, and the beach ball vellum garland along with my photos. For my title, I love the shade of this pink set of Thickers … it really pops against the aqua background.” – Renee Zwirek, Pebbles Design Team Member

“Most of the time when I work with a sketch I follow it pretty closely. Every now and then however I like to use a sketch more for a starting point of inspiration rather than as an exact blueprint. For today’s layout I looked at the sketch only once or twice to get an idea of the main design elements before I began creating. To start, I knew I wanted to use this single photo of my oldest and youngest sons together. I began by converting the photo to black and white so that it wouldn’t clash with the colors of the Lakeside collection (which is absolutely gorgeous!) The journaling card to the right of the photo adds a pop of color, and to keep things simple I used one of the printed chipboard pieces as a title. Even though the finished layout doesn’t look exactly like the original design the sketch still eased my process and saved me time since it gave me a starting point to work from.” – Donna Jannuzzi, Pebbles Design Team Member

“I wanted to start the summer off with some fun, so I made these summery little gift bags to fill with some mini treats and a gift card for some friends.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the bags from kraft cardstock and wrapped them with patterned paper.  I added a small decorative journaling card embellished with a few chipboard pieces and stickers.  They were quick and easy to put together and I know my friends will be excited to receive their little “kick-off-to-summer” goodie bags!”  – Wendy Sue Anderson, Pebbles Design Team Member

“Hi, Amelie here. Today I will share with you a little DIY project. As you can see, barrette embellishments are very trendy. So I decided to create mine to decorate my cards or layouts. First, I gathered some barrettes and embellishments. For my project, I used some stickers and some punches but you can just as easily use flowers, buttons, etc.  I hope this gives you some ideas to create your own! “  – Amelie Mordret, Pebbles Design Team Member
