Sketchy Thursday

For today’s edition of “Sketchy Thursday” we asked some of our design team members to create a project based on this exclusive sketch by Becky Fleck.

“This Christmas my son was so into our ELF on the Shelf TIBBY this year. He looked for him
every morning, explained that if you touched him he would lose his magic, and would do all
the fun activities TIBBY would leave for him. Our ELF this year made this Christmas even more special.”  – Patty Kumfer, Pebbles Design Team Member

Whip It Up Wednesday

“I made a super cute however adorable treat bag for my kiddo for LOVE day. I folded over a card
on the treat bag with a cute massage. Another part of the goodie bag I love is the heart arrow, which was made with a cake pop stick.”  – Patty Kumfer, Pebbles Design Team Member

“Admittedly, I am a rather S-L-O-W scrapper, so ‘Whip it up Wednesday’ is typically a bit of a challenge for me!  The first step in tackling this challenge was to take out my square punch and a variety of papers from the Walnut Grove collection.  Once I had my stack of pretty squares, it took me only a minute or two to lay out a beautiful over-sized photo mat, that mimics the look of a cozy, worn quilt.   Attaching the squares was quick and easy, once I had the first in place to use as a guide.  I then chose to add some stitching to make that backdrop look even more quilt-like, but that step could certainly be skipped to save on time.  The next step was to turn to my stash of Thickers and pretty Pebbles stickers to add my title and a few specifically placed embellishments.  Four strips of journaling around the outer perimeter of the photo mat, complete the page, and believe or not (I could hardly believe it myself!) my page was done in just under 30 minutes!”  – Jaclyn Rench, Pebbles Design Team Member

How To Tuesday

“For today’s how to I decided to make a card that utilizes circles in a few different ways, and I’ll show you how to make the center paper flower, and the circle confetti background.”  – Laura Craigie, Pebbles Design Team Member

Here are the punches, and paper pad I used for today’s card.

Making confetti with your patterned paper can be done in a few ways, if you have a border punch like this it’s super easy, or if you have a die cut machine you can set it up to cut hundreds of tiny shapes at one time.  Once you have a small amount you just need to coat the top of your card with pretty much any adhesive you like, and sprinkle it on till you are happy.

Next I got started on the easy paper flower by simply punching out 4 circles with a large circle punch.

Fold your 4 circles in half.

Fold those circles in half again, and add a foam adhesive to the middle so they keep some dimension on your project.  Your 4 “petals” of the flower are now done.  SO easy! 🙂

Here is my nearly paper flower, and the confetti background.  Using a dry adhesive allowed me to even sew through the top confetti for an additional fun detail.

Finally my finished card!  I added a dimensional flower to the paper one just for fun, and then stuck my sentiment in a circle around that. I really like how the card is so busy and fun up top, and contrasts the simpleness of the bottom portion.

It’s Monday again which means we’ll be mixing and matching some Pebbles products to show you just how well our collections can be used with one another.

“Mixing and matching collections from Pebbles is a breeze because there are always colors and patterns that coordinate perfectly. I created this page for Oreo, the latest addition to our family. He’s just three months old, 6 ½ pounds and a huge presence in our lives. He’s so funny, active and always right there in the middle of everything that happens in our house!”  – Kathy Martin, Pebbles Design Team Member

“I have had these photos of my eldest for 5 years now waiting to be scrapped! He was an early walker and I wanted to remember this milestone. Its fun to match the colors and patterns of the different Pebbles collections, they all work so perfectly together! I chose the bright arrow pattern of the Favorites pattern paper from the Seen and Noted collection  to be the base of my layout to emphasize the movement theme and finished it off with pops of red and yellow. For my pennants I trimmed a couple of Walnut Grove tags into banner shapes and attached them to a stick pin. The long red strip with the date on it is actually trimmed from the lots of love paper, its the tear off strip, love that I can stretch my products!”  – Kim Jeffress, Pebbles Design Team Member

“This week’s theme is “Love is in the air!” Usually, we don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day … why? Because love isn’t just a single month.  But since I’m working with design team assignments, each year I make my husband a little handmade gift! And finally, I can surprise my husband!   This year for his package: a bag of candy, some chocolate, a love letter (in the bottle) <3 -="" a="" and="" candle="" day="" dinner="" for="" good="" have="" href="http://scrap-by-choup72.blogspot.fr/" nbsp="" romantic="" s="" valentine="">Amelie Mordret
