“Color is a huge inspiration for me in my scrapbooking.  So when I first saw the sneaks for this collection on the blog last month, I fell in love immediately.  I wanted to do something fun with all of of the colors in this collection and play with them a bit, but still stay true to my style.  I decided to cut the star pattern on this page with my Silhouette and then use different colors and patterns to back the empty spaces in some of the stars.  On the right-hand side of the page I used the Honeycomb Mini Dot paper; yellow is my current favorite color and it offset the blue my son is wearing in the photos very nicely.  I was so pleased with how this turned out, it is fun and bright, and yes, colorful!”  – Donna Jannuzzi, Pebbles Design Team Member

“I am in love with all the fun colors and patterns in the new Basics line. I knew I wanted to use them all in some sort of a rainbow on my page, but I was a little too greedy to use up my big pieces of paper!! I don’t often make cards, so I decided to use the Cardmaker Pads to make my triangles. I cut each with a square punch and then cut the square in half to make the triangles.  I wanted the layout to have an “imperfect” look to it, so I only outlined a few of them, and I didn’t bother aligning them perfectly.”  – Emily Spahn, Pebbles Design Team Member

“The Basics collection is one of my favorite Pebbles collections of all time!  I’m loving the saturated bright colors and all the fabulous embellishments.  And the cute colorful clothespins and the new washi tape are so fun! I based this layout on the dress my daughter is wearing in the photo.  I machine stitched along the edges of each color with coordinating thread, and then topped it off with lots of Pebbles new Basics embellishments and some fun new gold glittery foam Thickers.”  – Tiffany Hood, Pebbles Design Team Member

“I really love the new washi tapes in the Basics collection! I used them as inspiration to get started on my page. I used all the different washi tapes in strips and placed them on white American Crafts cardstock, and then used my Cameo to cut frames for my page to lie over top the washi taped piece! Was an easy way to create a pattern with the fun washi tapes.”  – Nicole Nowosad, Pebbles Design Team Member

“I’m not sure I could love a line more than I love Basics!  So many gorgeous colors and patterns to love.  I used the Cardmaking Pads for the base of my cards and I have to say they are fabulous!  Pre-scored perfection! I also love the Washi tape because it’s skinnier than any others I have, and it’s the perfect size.  These cards came together in a snap with such great supplies.”  – Laura Craigie, Pebbles Design Team Member

“When I saw the Basics collection I immediately fell in love!  I love everything about it, the chevron, polka dots and especially the ledger paper.  I love pink, mostly baby pink and I at first was going to make a baby girl project, but I decided to challenge myself to make it ‘grow up’ and I created this little decor piece for my desk.”  – Laurel Seabrook, Pebbles Design Team Member

Simple is beautiful with Pebbles Basics. Even the most basic patterns are brilliant and in style. The versatility of the Basics collection ensures it can serve as the foundation or accent of any project. The paper comes in bright colors and classic patterns that coordinate with a host of matching embellishments. This line is incredibly versatile and easy to use for everything from parties to cards to memory keeping.

“I love the versatility of the Basics line and see myself using this on nearly every layout in the future!  The patterns and colors so vibrant and I’m always a sucker for lined patterned paper too!  I used bits of a lot of this line on this layout, from the papers to washi tape and cutting down a pocket to use as an embellishment too.  I also wanted to show that the phrase stickers aren’t just for cards, but can be adapted to layouts as well.” – Christa Paustenbaugh, Pebbles Design Team Member

Free For All Friday

Happy Friday everyone! We are wrapping up the week with a few fabulous “free for all” projects from some of our design team members.

“Each year I document some highlights from each of my daughters’ birthdays about what they like, their personality, etc.  I’m a bit behind since my oldest turned 10 in August, but still documenting it for sure!  I cut the “10” out from my Silhouette and used the negative space for my title.  I hand stitched around the outside of the number and just added some simple embellishment on the inside of it.  The Country Picnic and Family Ties may not look like they make a good match at first, but with elements from each it worked out perfectly!” – Christa Paustenbaugh, Pebbles Design Team Member

“A handful of phrase and journaling cards made this layout come together in a snap. I used one of my favorite techniques here, layering colorful, bold elements on top of a black background. The scalloped edges on two of the phrase cards and on the border stickers add a bit of texture to an otherwise flat layout.”  – Vivian Masket, Pebbles Design Team Member
