Welcome to Day 2 of Pinspiration! Today Nicole Nowosad and Christa Paustenbaugh share inspiration from Pinterest and the resulting (brilliant!) projects. Take a look!

“I was drawn immediately to a few different elements from the inspiration piece – the ring shape and the quilted look. I made a quick pie chart and stitched each pie shape.  With a few drinking glasses, I drew rings on the pie chart and cut each ring out. I added some foam adhesive to the back of them and placed on the page. I also drew inspiration from all the color in the piece and so I just used a lot of the paper from my Phrase and Journalling cards from the Seen & Noted line.” —Nicole Nowosad

“I love this saying and pinned it right away quite a while ago.  I thought it would be perfect to cut out with my Silhouette and take center stage of my layout. I backed it with some bright papers from various Pebbles lines and embellished the areas that had some space. I wanted to journal, but wasn’t sure where so I just made a pocket from one of the photos and stuck it in there as some hidden journaling.”

Pinterest is an amazing source of inspiration, and that includes for the Pebbles designers! This week we’ll be sharing projects inspired by images we’ve found on Pinterest. First up is Kim Jeffress and Kim Kesti with a layout and two cards you’re sure to love. Enjoy!
 [Source]

“When I was creating my project for this challenge it was during the week leading up to Halloween and there were lots of spider images floating around Pinterest. I loved this one of the spider cupcakes and knew immediately what photos I wanted to scrap. A few years ago my youngest who was learning to crawl at the time, found a dead spider next to the fridge and decided to eat it!!! I quickly ran for my camera knowing I wanted to record this little snippet of his life.

“I have used a mix of the Tricks and Treats collection as well as elements from Sunnyside, Seen & Noted and Walnut Grove.

“My layout started with a sheet of  Hawthorne Ave (Tricks and Treats collection) pattern paper with the cobwebs however I didnt want to use the map part of the paper, so I mixed and matched different pattern papers with the colors in my photos and layed them over the map. I then cut out a couple of spiders using my cameo and added different elements to complete my page. Take note of the Seen & Noted journaling card — the description was just perfect for my layout!”

“I get a ton of online inspiration from the popular Pinterest website. It’s like a holding tank for paper crafting, recipes, quilting, home décor — all my favorite things. I drew inspiration for today’s cards from my Quilting board. So many fun quilt patterns can be easily adapted for cards – love that!”

Hi everyone! I am so excited to introduce you to this week’s Guest Designer Penny Smith!  Let’s get to know Penny a little better …

Describe yourself in 3 words … talkative, loving, eclectic!

My guilty pleasure is … Chai tea latte’s (with soymilk) 🙂

You’ll never find me without … my thumb ring. I have been wearing the same one for about 20 years!

You might be surprised to know that I … used to train dolphins! And I have known my husband since I was 16 years old! (over 20 years now!)

My least favorite chore is … dishes! I literally told my husband I would marry him (when he asked) if he understood I didn’t do dishes!

I started scrapbooking in
… the days of Mrs. Grossman stickers! Creative Memories got me started, but my best friend opening a scrapbooking store that had me diving into modern day design!

My favorite thing about this hobby is … the people I have met! Being a designer, teacher and demonstrator has offered me relationships I would not have had otherwise, and I am very grateful!

If I were a Pebbles product I would be …uhm-this is mean! Cuz how do I pick!! But letters stickers are my number one favorite … and since I described myself as talkative!!!

“I tend to not fill the page, and almost ALWAYS use the “design triangle” (because I love the flow of it) but with all the fabulous embellishment and papers, I was able to do both!! AND throw in some spray inks too! “Clustering” embellishments is more than easy with all the choices available in this line! “

“I take pictures all the time of the everyday … so when I was going thru my prints, I started to notice a theme. Inspiration for the layout came from a scrap of white paper, and noticing 3 star punches together. It was on! I love the subtle use of print! Walnut Grove florals are wonderfully bold!”

“This paper SCREAMED at me to be used! I usually don’t know all the houses we visit (or have them all pictured at each) but I just LOVED the lil map on this paper! Thumbnails of several house visited would be so fun-but if you don’t have that, make it work!! Showcasing the yearly picture I take at the beginning of the route worked too!”

For today’s edition of “Sketchy Thursday” we asked some of our design team members to create a project based on this *exclusive* sketch by Becky Fleck.

“I loved the simple beauty of this sketch so much that I kept all of the elements the way they were presented. The Walnut Grove Collection went so well with this photo of Payton at the pumpkin farm. I loved using the Masking Tape Sticker for the title of my layout. The journaling…a reminder of how much I love my little girl just as she is. And, she is beautiful.” – Renee Zwirek, Pebbles Design Team Member

“I work with sketches all the time, and this one from Becky Fleck was so much fun! I stayed pretty true to the design, I only did a few chances on the title and embellishments. I used the Seen & Noted collection to create a layout about my wedding anniversary, I love that you can used this line for your everyday photos and also for special occasions.”  – Eva Pizarro, Pebbles Design Team Member
