“It is very important to our family to teach our girls about the true meaning of Easter but we also enjoy the fun of Easter eggs and pretty spring dresses! The girls are all too excited to put on a pretty dress and have their hair done and then they have to give a little twirl for daddy to show off their new dress. For my layout, I combined a few pink elements from Country Picnic with the happy colors of Hip Hip Hooray. I gave my layout a little fringe (grass) to ground it and then highlighted each photo with scallops. I added some texture with machine stitching.”  – Jill Cornell, Pebbles Design Team Member

I wanted it to take center stage so I framed it with strips of some spring-patterned papers from the new Hip Hip Hooray & Country Picnic Lines. To reinforce the Easter theme I die cut some oval shapes from the Hip Hip Hooray Good Times paper and used them as a base for my titling and journaling.” – Valerie Mangan, Pebbles Design Team Member

“Happy Easter! I made this double-page layout about a little adventure I had last Easter. My husband had to be out of town over Easter weekend for a work thing. As a surprise, he left a ton of Easter eggs hidden around our house for me to find. I was still finding eggs days after he got back! Because I had quite a few pictures to scrap and so many different colors in the pictures, I tried to keep this layout pretty simple. I did not want my pictures to get lost in too much patterned paper or too many embellishments. I chose white cardstock as the background of the layout and framed my pictures with strips of patterned paper. I did have a little fun with my title though! It was a little hard for me to embrace the white space around the edges of the layout but I do think that simplicity is best on this page!”  – Gretchen McElveen, Pebbles Design Team Member

“The soft kraft compliments the pinks, and greens in this collection. A variety of papers that are wonderful paired with Easter photos. I kept my page clean, and simple. The patterns in this collection are just that. They need few embellishments, and I used strips of the pattern paper to add interest to the page. I cut out a few of the doily flowers found on the Picket Fence paper to embellish the centers of the pinwheels. Instead of using the entire gift tag, I cut it into two sections. One to stamp my date of my page, and the other to house my journaling that was tucked to the right hand side. Vellum is definitely one of my staples, and I used it here to add subtle texture to the page.” – Suzanne Sergi, Pebbles Design Team Member

“I had already scrapped my photos from last Easter and the colors in the Hip Hip Hooray line just screamed Easter colors to me so I went with some cards.  I used my Silhouette to cut out egg and bunny images for one card and a larger egg image for the second card.  After that I just added some subtle embellishments to top it off!”  – Christa Paustenbaugh, Pebbles Design Team Member

With Easter almost upon us we will be sharing projects with an Easter theme all week long on the Pebbles blog created by some of our talented design team members.

“For my Easter layout, I chose to use the Country Picnic collection.  The floral patterns and pastel colors reminded me of Easter.  And the Dimensional Flowers were just calling my name.  For my title banner, I printed out the letters using my word processor and then cut each one down to a pennant shape.  I adhered the twine to my page and then added the pennants.  So fun!”  – Aphra Bolyer, Pebbles Design Team Member
