Theme: Scraplift a Design Team Member

Happy Monday everyone!  This week on the Pebbles blog it’s all about scraplifting!  What is “scraplifting” you ask?  Scraplifting is the the act of “lifting” or copying ideas and/or designs from another person’s scrapbook page to use in your own pages.  Designs or ideas can be copied in whole or in part.  And most importantly be sure to give credit where credit is due.  If you do “lift” someone else’s idea be sure to mention where the idea originated.  I’ve asked some of our design team members to “scraplift” their fellow teammates.

Design team member Gretchen McElveen decided to “lift” a layout by design team member Melanie Blackburn.  Here’s what Gretchen had to say … “I struggle with using two horizontal pictures on a page. Two vertical ones I can handle and 3 horizontal, no problem! But two horizontal pictures stump me! So when I say how Melanie Blackburn used the two pictures on this layout I knew I had to scraplift it to finally scrap these two pictures I have had printed for a while now! The pictures are vertical on her layout so I just turned her layout to the right and viola! Now the pictures are horizontal! And then I just scraplifted from there! Thank you Melanie for the inspiration!!”

Design team member Wendy Sue Anderson decided to scraplift fellow team member Christa Paustenbaugh.  Here’s what Wendy had to say … ” I was so excited for this blog assignment…because I knew there were SO many wonderful projects to choose from – I am surrounded by such talented women on this design team!  It took me a long time to decide which project to scraplift…but I finally decided on this cute card by Christa.   I love the clean and simple design, and knew it would be the perfect scheme to use as a starting point for this set of gender-neutral (because I never have enough BOY cards on hand)birthday cards.  Thanks for the inspiration, Christa!”
