For today’s edition of “Sketchy Thursday” I asked some of our design team members to create a project based on this fabulous sketch by Becky Fleck.
Design team member Lady Grace Belarmino used the Happy Go Lucky collection on this perfectly playful layout. Here’s what LG had to say … “I love sketches because they make scrapping easier especially for scrapbookers who work full time like me. Here, I rotated the sketch 90 degrees clockwise. I have used the Happy Go Lucky collection since it is perfect for this recent photo of my daughter taken in a toy store.”

Design team member Suzanne Sergi created this stunning layout of her pretty little princess using lots of Ever After and Floral Lane goodies. Here’s what Suzanne had to say … “Sometimes, it is so nice to have a sketch in front of you. The design has already been determined, so all I had to do was pull these photos of my sweet little girl. Next, I selected some of my favorite Pebbles paper, Ever After, and Floral Lane. I do try to stay as close to the sketch as possible. On my page, because white was my background, I decided to pull in another patterned paper. I did layer it across the entire 12×12 cardstock. I do love white space, but needed a colorful background, to anchor my bold embellishments. I did size my photos a little bigger, so they would balance my page. I did make another change, by moving my journaling to the left of my page. I love mixing pattern paper, so I loved the border strips on the sketch. Here, I layered a border sticker, patterned paper, and use the back of a barcode strip. A few scattered buttons, and embossing gave my page added texture.”

Design team member Wendy Sue Anderson created this fun layout using our new Floral lane collection. Here’s what Wendy Sue had to say … “After taking a short hiatus from the creative part of my life, I am ready to dig back in and get going again. I have to say – this assignment was the perfect way to ease back into scrapbooking … I had brand new, super cute product to work with (the new Floral Lane line) AND a great sketch to use as a starting point! These photos are of my kids at a climbing wall earlier this year. I thought the “b” sides of these fun papers worked well for a gender-neutral layout … with a few flowers thrown in for good measure!”
