Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend.  Today on the Pebbles blog we’ll be mixing and matching some Pebbles products to show you just how well our collections can be used with one another.

Design team member Savitri Wilder created this adorable card and matching gift wrap using goodies from several Pebbles collections.  Here’s what Savitri had to say … “Lately I’ve been into wrapping small gifts up in pretty pattern paper and decorating it. Pebbles provided me with the perfect materials to create a cute and fun gift wrap for our daughter’s present. She loved the gift and she also has a little something to remind her of what the gift was wrapped in. The “for you” card is now in her little keepsake box. ”

Design team member Melinda Spinks created this adorable baby card and added a fun pop of color by mixing and matching.  Here’s what Melinda had to say … “I never have an issue with mixing and matching my products from Pebbles as everything seems to go together perfectly. I’m forever diving into collections to find the perfect ribbon, rub-on or co-ordinating patterned paper as they all seem to blend beautifully. The sign of a great collection is one that will work with any collection from the same company and Pebbles ‘hits the nail on the head’ everytime!“

Design team member Mimi Leinbach lifted a project by fellow design team member Kryssi Ng.  Here’s what Mimi had to say … “I had a terrible time trying to decide what layout to scraplift but Kryssi’s amazing style just drew me in. I love the simplicity of it … with that perfect touch of “art”. I just loved how she wrote her journaling around the edge of the page in her own handwriting … the little bit of paint, perfect embellishments and adorable photo made this layout perfect!”

I (Lynn Ghahary) was inspired by a stitching technique that team member Savitri Wilder had used on an adorable card she created.  Savitri used one of our chalk stencils as a guide to create a hand stitched embellishment on her card.  I thought this was such a clever way to use our stencils and decided to create my own card using the same technique.

Design team member Kristen Swain was inspired by a recent layout by fellow team member Eva Pizarro.  Here’s what Kristen had to say … “I am in love with simple clean layout design. However, it’s not the style I typically look to when creating. Using Eva’s layout as inspiration made this whole Valentine layout come together so much faster for me. I loved her use of squares and the small embellished paper squares, plus the cute scalloped border surrounding the whole inside. I was able to mix and match Pebbles papers and embellishments to create this sweet layout of my girls.”

Design team member Jennifer Yates lifted a project by fellow team member Guiseppa Gubler.  Here’s what Jennifer had to say … “I was so drawn to Guiseppa Gubler’s double page layout “I Love Yellowstone.”  I love how she showcased all the patterned papers on the top of the page and left the bottom to display her photos!  The banner across the page is perfect!  I was inspired to create a single page layout and flipped the design using the 3 x 3 Perforated Cards from the Twitterpated Line! This layout is of my friend Natalie and her three darling kiddos!”

Design team member Ria Mojica took a cue from Jennifer Yates adorable pet page for her sweet layout.  Here’s what Ria had to say … “For this assignment, I decided to scraplift a layout by Jennifer Yates. I love Jennifer’s colorful and eye-catching style! In this particular layout, I love how she used the circles as a border and took a cue from her on how to mix papers from Cats & Dogs and New Arrival Girl — to perfectly match for my photo! I added my own twist by adding a border sticker from New Arrival Girl and using the green printed paper as my dominant color.”

Design team member Wendy Sue Anderson lifted a layout by team member LG Belarmino.  Here’s what Wendy had to say … “I decided to scraplift this fun layout by LG.  I have had that fun border punch in my basket for months and just haven’t taken it out yet.  When I saw LG’s layout I was very inspired to open it up and use it!  I loved the way she layered the strips with the random colors behind each circle.  The only difference is that I used a slightly larger circle punch to punch out the patterned paper, coated the entire back of the strips with spray adhesive, and just popped the circles on, then layered them onto the background – it was super fast and I love the result.  I also used two photos, butterflies, and photos of my sweeties!  Thanks for the inspiration, LG! :o)”

First things first, I have a winner to announce from last week’s “Whip It Up” giveaway.  Thank you all so much for your comments.  And the lucky winner is …

Congratulations! Please email your full name and mailing information to pebblesincdt(at)gmail(dot)com and put “Whip It Up Winner” in the subject line.

Design team member Laura Vegas decided to do a lift of fellow team member Eva Pizarro’s layout.  Here’s what Laura had to say … “I just loved Eva Pizarro’s “Goodbye 2010″ layout, and thought it would be perfect for my scraplift. The first thing that caught my eye, was the grid pattern that she arranged her photos and the paper squares in. That totally fits my style of scrapbooking. I love how she added a wide assortment of embellishments to the squares of pattern paper. Pulling papers and embellishments from lots of different collections is so much fun, and something that I like to do as well. I also drew from the colors she used on her layout. She went with greens, pinks, and yellows. While I choose to use pinks, yellows, and oranges, mixed with a touch of green. And I just noticed that she machine stitched around her squares of pattern paper, as I was typing this. Which is something I also did on my layout.”

Design team member Guiseppa Gubler created a remembrance layout based on an original layout by Zoe Nemburt.  Here’s what Guiseppa had to say … “My cousin’s cat recently had to be put down because it had cancer.  She wanted a special remembrance layout to hang on her wall and she asked me if I would do it.  I knew exactly what I wanted to do, the “Cats and Dogs” collection (of course) and I wanted to scrap lift Zoe’s layout Bailey that she created with the “Cats and Dogs” collection.  I love the way Zoe made this layout pop, so I mimicked some of the design and added a few different ideas of my own.  I am very happy with the end result and I hope my cousin cherishes it for a long time to come!  Special thanks to Zoe for inspiring me too!”

Design team member Stephanie Baxter lifted a layout by fellow team member Jennifer Yates.  Here’s what Stephanie had to say … “I’m pretty much in awe of everything that Jennifer Yates makes, and the layout I chose to scraplift is no exception. I took inspiration from her mix of patterned papers, scalloped edges, journaling strips and the way she clustered all the flower embellishments around the bottom of her photo to use as focal points on my own layout. I’m really pleased with how it turned out. Thanks for the inspiration, Jennifer!”
