Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend.  Today on the Pebbles blog we’ll be mixing and matching some Pebbles products to show you just how well our collections can be used with one another.

Design team member Jennifer Yates mixes things up on her layout about her pretty kitty.  Here’s what Jennifer had to say … “I took this photo of my sweet cat Priscilla when she was cuddling up next to my daughter’s stuffed animal, which is also a cat!  The Cats & Dogs collection was perfect for the layout and I loved combining in a little pink and green from other lines to tie it all together.  I also used the cat stencil and chalk to create a pattern on half of the page.”

Design team member Wendy Sue Anderson created this adorable layout to document her sons’ holiday artwork.  Here’s what Wendy had to say … “My boys spent hours and hours drawing and coloring and making fun holiday projects during December.  Some were displayed on our walls, others were shared with relatives, and these … well, these are going to go into our family scrapbook to save forever!  I love how kids create without limitations or expectations – I love how fun and free and colorful their art is.  I had fun using non-traditional holiday colors and patterns to put together this page featuring their artwork and using bits and pieces from several different Pebbles Inc. collections allowed me to include all the colors and patterns I wanted to use!”

Design team member Mimi Leinbach created this bold and graphic layout by mixing lots of Pebbles collections.  Here’s what Mimi had to say … “I often times stay within a line when I scrap so I love a good challenge like mixing it up to bring me outside my box. I love how these 3 different lines really work together and still pop on the black background. The black background “grounds” the layout so that these vibrant yet different colors still blended well without clashing. It helped that my photo was neutral and did not introduce any other colors into the design. I also always love the look of a layout when the title is vertical. It adds some interest to the page and design. Best of all I love this photo of my hubby and nephew … it really shows what a great relationship they have.“

Design team member Kryssi Ng created this gorgeous layout based on a website that inspired her.  Here’s what Kryssi had to say … “With one of my BFFs recently engaged, I’ve been browsing wedding sites a lot lately. I came across this image, courtesy of oncewed.com, and love the soft watercolor effect swish swashes in the background and decided to emulate that in my layout. Design team member Kristen Swain found inspiration for her sweet layout in this bedding set by Pottery Barn.  Here’s what Kristen had to say … “I was so inspired by this sweet bedding set from Pottery Barn. The colors and patterns, the adorable owls, the different color of the trees (look at that blue tree trunk!). I even loved the stitching of the quilted comforter and the scallops of green on the edges. On my layout, I used the tree as a large base image, cut it out with my Cricut, and then added around it. I added my photos in a line, with all the green in the backgrounds the photos of my daughter really stand out. I love that blue trunk, I’m quite a literal girl- see my green tree leaves and green grass, so it was fun to add a touch inspired by this comforter. I liked the quilting look as well, so I added in a little brown ink fake stitching around my tree. I also punched the green dot paper, matching the green on the photo, and punched it into scallops as well. Pottery Barn always mixes colors so wonderfully, it was so inspiring to mix my Pebbles lines and have it turn out as nicely!”

Design team member Melinda Spinks created this stunning layout based on a gorgeous quilt.  Here’s what Melinda had to say … “”Before our son was born I found a picture of a gorgeous quilt that I really wanted to make for his cot but unfortunately I never got around to it. So when I was asked to create a project with something as my inspiration I thought this picture would be the perfect opportunity to make the quilt I’d promised myself. Now I know it is only made from paper but it’s so nice to imagine what my little man would have looked like whilst he slept if I’d only found the time to make it for him, for real!”

Design team member Lisa Kisch used a website as the basis for her layout design.  Here’s what Lisa had to say … “”I am completely addicted to pinterest.com. It’s a virtual inspiration board that is designed so crisply and cleanly– the design alone inspires you to create! I have different boards for scrapping, sewing, recipes, etc., and I can see everything at a glance. I used a screenshot of my pinterest page as inspiration  for my layout. I took contact sheet prints of December photos to give an overview of the month — and I fit 18 photos my 12×12 page! I used little strips of patterned paper for each shot, and a few big circles to add colour and weight to the page. I also added little bits of felt, since that’s what I sewed ALL through December. Thank you pinterest, for the inspiration.”
