Free For All Friday

Hey everyone!  We are wrapping up the week with a few “free for all” projects from some of our design team members.

Design team member Deena Wuest altered this super sweet mini key chain holder using the New Arrival Boy collection.  Here’s what Deena had to say … “When I found this mini key chain photo holder in the clearance bin, I knew it would be perfect for a little newborn brag album. Originally there was only enough space for two photos. Hmm, that will never do! I trimmed small pieces of patterned paper and made it into a mini book to hold lots of photos and text. Although I wouldn’t recommend using this as your primary key ring, it would be super sweet attached to the strap of a diaper bag!”

Pebbles supplies used:
New Arrival Boy Little Angel (751069)
New Arrival Boy Special Delivery (751066)
New Arrival Boy Brand New (751070)

Design team member Ria Mojica created several projects perfect for the holiday season.  Here’s what Ria had to say … “I am so happy that my favorite season of the year is here. Granted, it is a very busy, tiring, fattening and expensive season, but it’s also so much fun! Seeing my daughter squeal with delight when she opens her presents makes it all worth it! The Turkey Thank You and Recipe Cards were a cinch to make with some scraps and my die-cutting machine. I love how the strips of patterned paper at the bottom worked double time as tabs for the recipe cards! And what more can I say about the Tree House line? This is absolutely the most versatile collection ever … I can’t think of a season in the year that you can’t use all or part of it … of course, it’s perfect for my Christmas layout, too!”

Sketchy Thursday

For today’s edition of “Sketchy Thursday” I asked some of our design team members to create a project based on this fabulous sketch by Becky Fleck.

Design team member Guiseppa Gubler used the sketch to scrap these adorable pictures of her daughter.  Here’s what Guiseppa had to say … “I really love these pictures of my daughter.  I knew that I needed to scrap them using the Tree House collection.  The bright colors of this line went perfectly with the pictures.  I used a lot of pop dots to add dimension to highlight some of the fun patterns of the paper.  The sketch was also perfect.  It allowed me to really focus on the pictures.  When you have the right papers, a fun sketch, and beautiful pictures it allows everything to come together beautifully!”

Pebbles supplies used:
Tree House Melody (751030)
Tree House Bliss (751033)
Tree House Laughter (751025)
Tree House Neighbors (751031)

Chocolate Brown Glitter Candy Dots (744227)

Other supplies used:
Cardstock (Bazzill Basics)
Dimensional Adhesive (American Crafts)

Thickers (American Crafts)
Ribbon (Wrights)

Design team member Anna Sigga did an amazing job with the sketch and created this beautiful layout of her sweet daughter.  Here’s what Anna had to say … “I really loved the sketch so I decided to create my layout mostly according to the sketch. I mainly focused on the paper layers and the flowers – plus the journal spot gave me the push I needed to add a bit of journaling to the layout. Even if I don’t like my own handwriting it felt important to add that little bit of storytelling to my creation. The Cats & Dogs collection was just so perfectly playful for the happy pics of my younger daughter – this truly is a versatile line.”

For today’s post I challenged some of our design team members to “whip up” a project using Pebbles products in 30 minutes or less. Check out these fabulous projects that can be created in no time at all!

Design team member Christa Paustenbaugh created this fun layout about her family in less than 30 minutes!  Here’s what Christa had to say … “”Doing quick layouts for me is pretty difficult even though my pages tend to be fairly simple – go figure!  I’ve been wanting to do a layout like this for some time and I thought a symmetrical layout would be quick and a great highlight for my daughters’ differences!  A linear design paired with my favorite punches, makes for an easy layout!”

Design team member Sarah Webb put her scrapping skills to the test and created this sweet layout in no time at all.  Here’s what Sarah had to say … “I am not a quick scrapper. 30 minutes? Oh boy! My husband laughed when he heard about the assignment, as he watched me shuffle around pink product. But then he gave me some sage advice – don’t cut anything. And he was right. When I pared down what I needed to cut or ‘create’, as I normally would, it all went much better and much faster. There are so many cute elements to choose from! I chose the Word Dimensional stickers as my starting point for the rest of the page.”

Design team member Suzanne Sergi shows us how you can use Pebbles supplies not only in the craft room but the kitchen as well!  Here’s what Suzanne had to say … “Each Thanksgiving I try out a new cookie recipe. This year I tried a Crinkle Chocolate Cookie, but wanted to dress the tops of the cookies. Inspired by a similar cookie in Martha Stewart’s Holiday Cookie Magazine, I knew the Pebbles Flowers Stencil would be the perfect tool! I simply layered the stencil on top of each cookie, and lightly dusted confectioner’s sugar. I gently lifted the stencil, and loved the beautiful image it created! I love to bake, and now I have another baking tool in the kitchen!  I created a simple, and dainty card to attach to my boxed cookies, gifted for the hostess of Thanksgiving! Pebbles has a variety of stencils to choose from, and will be perfect for any cookie or celebration!”
