Design team member Melinda Spinks knocked my socks off with this stunning layout.  Here’s what Melinda had to say … “I had been asked by a friend to scrap a layout for her sister who had recently given birth to their very first and long awaited little girl Lily. So, as soon as I saw the New Arrival collection I knew it would be perfect for this very occasion. The colour palette was so dreamy in pastel pinks that I didn’t need to do a lot with the layout as the product was going to speak for itself. However, in a moment of madness I decided to do the entire background in tiny punched flowers which seemed like such a good idea at the time! And how gorgeous are the New Arrival felt embellishment flowers, will definitely be using these again and again!”

Design team member Kristen Swain created this fun little girl card.  Here’s what Kristen had to say … “Banners are all the rage right now, and when I saw these adorable chipboard safety pins, I thought they would be the perfect thing to hang my twine from so I could make a baby banner on my card. I also used the open 3×3 Card on my card, just adding it across the front, it made the perfect finishing touch.”

The colours and textures in New Arrival Girl are perfect for scrapping my pink clad little ones. In these photos, I changed the focal point from one face to the other between shots — their little faces look so focused, too — that gave me the idea for my title.  I took the title “Focus” and wrote about that word from my perspective.”

I couldn’t believe that I actually haven’t scrapped this beautiful shot of her at about 1 month old! How fateful that my assignment this week is to use the precious New Arrival Girl collection — perfectly made for heaven sent little girls! The prints are so delicate that the focus will always remain on the photos. The whole line makes it so easy to create a layout or a whole baby album in a snap! Makes me want to have another baby … NOT!”

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  This week on the blog we will be sharing lots of “sugar & spice” projects created with our New Arrival Girl collection that debuted at the CHA Summer 2010 show.  But before we get started I first wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone who posted comments last week on our Candy Dots Giveaway.  I read each and every one of them and loved all of the fabulous ideas for expanding the Pebbles Candy Dots collection.  And of course I have a winner to announce as well! The winner is …

Congratulations Kristen!  Please email your full name and mailing information to pebblesincdt(at)gmail(dot)com and put “Candy Dots Winner” in the subject line.  And now for a little “sugar & spice” projects!

Design team member Deena Wuest created this super sweet keepsake tin.  Here’s what Deena had to say … “I recycled a large cookie tin to use as a keepsake box that holds this sweet little girl’s birthday present. How cute are those felt flowers? They make you *look* creative when actually all the work has been done for you (shhh). I replaced the “o” in her name with the felt, then cut apart an “I love you” sentiment and rubbed it on the chipboard banner. Layer a border sticker under a chocolate ribbon and you’re done. Sweet, simple and super fast!”
