Samantha Sibbet started scrapbooking 8 years ago to document her travels with her husband.  In the last 2 years Samantha has been introduced to a whole new world of scrapbooking via the internet.  Samantha loves to find inspiration from blogs especially reading the stories behind the designs.  Samantha is one of our returning design team members and we are thrilled to have her on board for another year.

Describe yourself in 3 words … open minded, easy going, happy

My guilty pleasure is … Baskin Robbins Chocolate Ice Cream with Peanut Butter.

You’ll never find me without … sun glasses – I live in San Diego after all.

Growing up I … wanted to be a ballerina or archeologist.

You might be surprised to know that I … could eat sushi 7 days a week.

If I could live anywhere in the world it would be … fall in New York City, winter in San Diego, spring in Paris, summer in London.

My least favorite chore is …  all of them, I just think they are all awful.

If I had one wish it would be … what an extremely difficult question.  I wish that my children will one day know the happiness that I have being their mom.

Here’s what Samantha had to say about her layout … “With a sewing machine I stitched horizontal and vertical rows on white cardstock.  I used a die cut machine to cut the bird and layered it over the stitched piece with dimensional adhesive.”

Mimi Leinbach is a stay at home mom to 2 soccer loving boys Nick (12) and Jack (8) and has been married to her husband Josh for over 15 years.  She has been scrapping for over 12 years and is completely and totally obsessed.  Mimi has a passion for patterend paper and likes to try every technique at least once and some a lot more! When Mimi is not scrapping she can be found at a soccer game or helping out at school.  Mimi is another returning design team member and we are so thankful to have her on our team for another term!

Describe yourself in 3 words … friend, wife, soccer mom

My guilty pleasure is … vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles and whipped cream.  No cherry though – I can’t stand them!

You’ll never find me without
… chapstick – I am hopelessly addicted to it.

Growing up I … hardly knew how to ride a bike. We always had horses so if I was going to ride anything it was a horse. Now my youngest son has the same love for horse back riding I did as a child.

You might be surprised to know that I … have run 2 marathons.  I would love to do one more someday.  I am hoping my last will be the first one my son ever runs!

If I could live anywhere in the world it would be … Maine.  I love New England and spent lots of summers there as a child.

My least favorite chore is … ugh, where do I start – dusting, no, bathrooms, no, laundry, no, all of them.  Weird thing is I am a clean freak so I do it despite hating it.

If I had one wish it would be
… that every time I ate a bowl of pasta it did not go straight to my hips.

Here’s what Mimi had to say about her layout … “This layout suits me … natural colors, clean lines and a little bit of texture.  It is very much like my personality.  I am very much a “natural” girl, who loves being outside with my kids, a straight arrow but is still willing to shake things up just a bit so life doesn’t get ordinary.”

Today is a big day here on the Pebbles blog as we officially welcome our brand new 2010 – 2011 Pebbles Design Team!  Over the next few weeks we will be introducing each of our new design team members along with sharing their first “official” projects as part of the team.  Each project has an “all about me” theme and serves as away to get to know each team member a little better both personally and creatively.

First let me introduce myself.  My name is Lynn Ghahary and I live in Northwest New Jersey with my husband and high school sweetheart Salar and our two wild and crazy boys, Darian and Brandon.  I was first introduced to the wonderful world of scrapbooking way back in 2000.  I took a break from scrapbooking in 2004 when my first son was born and didn’t really come back to the hobby until 2008.  Now that I’m back I am here to stay and have been completely in awe at how far this amazing craft has come since we first “met” 10 years ago.  In addition to scrapbooking I am also an avid gardener, bookworm, and wannabe photographer.  I am also a self-professed reality TV show junkie and organzing diva.  I am thrilled to be on board as the Design Team Coordinator and Blog Hostess for Pebbles Inc for another year!

Describe yourself in 3 words …  creative, trustworthy, dependable.

My guilty pleasure is …
LOTS and LOTS of reality TV.

You’ll never find me without …
my watch.  I feel lost without it.

Growing up I …
wanted to be a lawyer and would watch the People’s Court incessantly.

You might be surprised to know that I …
despise feet.  Seriously.  I think they’re ugly.  Except my two little boys’ feet.  I love those!

If I could live anywhere in the world it would be …
somewhere I can experience the change of seasons but winter doesn’t drag on forever and ever like it does here in New Jersey.  Any suggestions? LOL

My least favorite chore is …
cleaning toilets.  Two little boys + not very good aim = Enough said.  😉

If I had one wish it would be …
for my dad to meet my boys.  He passed away before they were born and I just know he would get such a kick out of them if he could meet them.

For my project I decided to create a layout about some of the most important things in my life that make me happy.  I went with a double page design as I had a lot of photos and quite a bit of journaling that I wanted to include as well.  I used the Twitterpated collection on my layout as I am completely in love with the fresh and fun color combination especially the splashes of yellow and pink.  I punched lots of hearts from several different patterned papers and added zig zag stitching down the center while folding up the sides for dimension to create a colorful border connecting the two sides of my layout.  Feel free to click on the image to view it larger to see it in more detail.

Twitterpated Sweet (751002)
Twitterpated Spark (751004)

Twitterpated Sweetheart (751010)
Twitterpated Smitten (751011)
Twitterpated Epoxy Brads (744217)
Twitterpated Chips (744112)
Pink Glitter Candy Dots (744212)

Other supplies used:

Stickers (Basic Grey)

Design team member Christa Paustenbaugh is a military wife who is constantly on the move with her husband and best friend and their 2 beautiful little drama queens!  Currently calling the DC suburbs home, Christa is a school social worker and avid runner (she just began training for her very first marathon!).  Apart from scrapbooking, Christa also enjoys taking photos, reading and watching no brainer Bravo TV shows!  Christa is one of our returning design team members this year and we are so lucky to have her!

Describe yourself in 3 words …  sarcastic, loyal, observant.

My guilty pleasure is …
Anything chocolate!!!  And also all those crazy Bravo TV shows!

You’ll never find me without …  my watch.  I know, not very exciting, but I feel naked when I forget it or don’t have it on!  I’m amazed when I meet people who never, ever wear one!

Growing up I …
lived in a super small town, with one flashing light.  We could ride around the outside streets of the town on our bikes within 10 minutes (max!).

You might be surprised to know that I …
didn’t move for the first 22 years of my life, but since then have lived in 7 different states and we’re still not done moving!  Talk about a life change!

If I could live anywhere in the world it would be …
I actually love where I live right now (DC suburbs) because there is so much to do, but would love to travel more.  We went to Costa Rica in the spring and I’ve definitely gotten a bigger travel bug since then!

My least favorite chore is …
hands down it’s folding and putting away clothes.  I can wash all day long, but need a folding and putting away assistant!

If I had one wish it would be …
to travel the world with my family (grandparents, aunts, uncles and all).  Hey, if I get a wish I’m going to wish BIG!!!

Here’s what Christa has to say about her layout … “I think this gray “cube” paper is my absolute favorite and I would use it on everything if I could!  And it goes so well with so many of the papers from several of the fall collections as well.”
