Hi everyone!  As we enjoy the last few days of August and welcome our new 2010 – 2011 Design Team in September we must first bid a very fond farewell to our current design team members.  These gals were the very first members of the Pebbles design team and inspired us daily with their creativity and skillful use of Pebbles products.  I have loved getting to know each and every one of these talented ladies and want to thank you all for your hard work and commitment to this team.

It thought it would be fun to highlight a project from each departing design team member created this past year.  Please join me in thanking this amazing group of ladies for their inspiration.  You gals are the best!

Design team member Pam Callaghan used the May Bouquet collection to highlight her family’s summer vacation.  Here’s what Pam had to say … “I wanted to do a page on the highlights of our vacation as a sort of intro page.  I created this page using May Bouquet papers and embellishments.  I first drew a sketch of my design and the computer to get an idea of what I wanted it to look like.  I used only a few embellishments to really make my photos pop.”

Design team member Suzanne Sergi took this opportunity to document one of the highlights of her family’s summer – meeting American Idol Aaron Kelley.  Here’s what Suzanne had to say … “One of our summer highlights was meeting American Idol Aaron Kelley! After a trip to Legoland, we stopped at the restaurant, Outback Steakhouse. After being seated, we realized that Aaron Kelley was seated across from our table.  My daughter, and her friend could not stop giggling or screaming.  One of my friends went to his table and politely asked if he would not mind stepping outside for a couple of snapshots.  He was very gracious, and more than happy to pose with our girls.  We did not take any trips this summer; however, this moment was a memory of a lifetime for my sweet daughter.  What better way to document this moment, but with Tree House’s bold color palette?”

Pebbles supplies used:
Tree House 3×3 Cards (751024)
Tree House Laughter (751025)
Tree House View (751027)
Tree House Fun (751035)
Tree House Merriment (751028)
Tree House Word Stickers (732010)

Other supplies used:

Paper Clip (Making Memories)
Stamp (Creative Imaginations)

Design team member Mimi Leinbach celebrates the outdoors in her summer vacation layout.  Here’s what Mimi had to say … “For my family summer is all about being outdoors, sports, and the water! We spent a lot of time at the shore this year and the boys loved “trying” to perfect the skimboard … lots of ups and downs working on that, lol!  I shot continuous action shots of them practicing and it made for a great series of photos that really show them “working.”  I will tell you, after trying it once and landing very ungracefully I am so glad I could stay behind the camera and watch them … oh my aching back!”

Pebbles supplies used:
Tree House Sunset (751029)
Tree House View (751027)

Design team member Liz Qualman documented her favorite summer memory in this delightful layout of her daughter.  Here’s what Liz had to say … “Summer is such a relaxing time to keep things simple and fun, which is what this layout is all about.  My daughter loves the spray park by our house and we frequent it often.  To scrap this photo, I really loved the soft colors of the May Bouquet collection combined with some of the brighter Dear Lizzy papers and letters from American Crafts.  The effect is sunny and bright with a tad of spice, which turns up the heat on my simple design.“
