I created this layout Love This Hobby to honor the crafting that so many of us adore. Scrapbooking has become such a rewarding part of my life because of all the friends and opporunity it has sent my way. I could not imagine life without it. I used an older Pebbles collection called Sweetheart which is still available at the Pebbles online store. Please visit my blog for a tutorial on how create the lace doily.

Mireille Divjak captured this fun moment with her daughter and friend using the Pebbles Skipping Along collection. She also added some beautiful punch work and faux stitching to add to the youthful feeling of this layout.

Samantha Sibbet created this special card using a combination of the Skipping Along papers and the So Tweet stickers. The Pebbles chip heart, tulle and button add just the right amount of embellishment to make this card a stunner.

Sophia Allison created these adorable tags for her daughters’ teachers. They are perfect for the potted plants and add such a personal touch to the gifts. The softer colors of Pebbles Lil’ Miss collection are just right.

Coverlift challenge…

Hi All!  Lisa Warren here.  I hope you’ve been enjoying all the Valentine’s Day inspiration the team has been sharing this week.  That reminds me…better go make my hubby a card…

Do you ever see a layout and are instantly inspired by it?  I do. All the time.  There are so many talented scrapbookers in the world, and sometimes when you see a layout, you just have to create straight away!  Recently I was checking out all the craft magazines at the newsagency, and I was instantly drawn to the cover of Scrapbook Trends.  This layout by Susan Weinroth is just divine!

I love how the photo is off centre, that she’s stuck to one colour for lettering, patterned paper and embellishments, and also all the little embellishments contained in the random circles.  So much fun…I wanted to have a go myself!  I challenged the team to have a go too, and here’s what we came up with…

Here’s my take…I’ve used patterned paper from the “So Tweet” collection as well as white Pebbles chips.  I love how Susan spread her title over two lines, and as it happened, her title fit my layout perfectly.  I wanted to add the blue from Susan’s layout, but give it a bit more punch of colour.  The end result is a fun, girlie layout that my daughter loves!

Mirielle Divjak created this gorgeous layout!  She has swapped out the punched circles for stitched ones, and the single photo for 6 sequence shots.  I love the primary colours she’s used, and the yellow Pebbles chips coordinate perfectly…such a fun boy layout!

Marielle LeBlanc created this fun layout with the Lil’ Buddy collection, using a combination of Pebbles candy dots, chipboard, punched circles and stickers to create the circular element at the top of her layout.  Love those little robots!  Marielle has also flipped the layout to create a mirror image of the original by Susan.

Sophia Allison has put another twist on the cover lift.  Instead of lifting just the layout, she has lifted the whole cover!  Sophia has placed her title at the top of her layout where the magazine’s masthead appears, and added journaling strips in place of the magazine contents.  What a great idea!

There you have it.  Four layouts lifted from the cover of a magazine, all different in style.  That’s the great thing about taking inspiration from layouts…they’re a great jumping off point for you to make a layout your own.  Thanks for dropping by!

Cheers, Lis.

Susan Dupre must have some really lavish gifts in mind for her loved ones, because these are the tags she created to decorate her wrapped goodies. She used the So Tweet collection along with Pebbles Ribbon to make these little beauties.

Christa Paustenbaugh created this super sweet and yummy card for her loved ones and here is what she had to say about her making her card, “I used my heart punch to create the red and pink hearts from the Linnie Bell and So Tweet papers. Also, I added Pebbles chipboard hearts to the corners as an accent. Then, stitched it up with rubons…super simple!”

Celeste Smith has been decorating her home with this clever heart banner made from the Linnie Bell collection. For something so simple and cute, this little home decor item sure adds a lot of love.

Marielle LeBlanc made this darling card using the Linnie Bell collection. She punched hearts out of the large flowers in the Linnie Bell Patchwork paper and then tied some of the Pebbles Ribbon around the card.
