Hello everyone, Eva on the blog today sharing a quick tutorial on how to make a DIY memory game using the lovely “Oh, Summertime” papers.
My son is 4 and he is a Pokemon fan! He loves the characters so I thought it would be fun to create a memory game for him. We created this game together, he chose the characters and helped me assemble all the pieces. We spent a fun afternoon together and now all he wants to do is play his memory game!
To create the game we printed the characters, two of each. I did it with an electronic cutting machine and it was very fast! Next, we cut some 2-inch squares from the lovely patterned papers of the Oh, Summertime line.
We chose another patterned paper and cut lots of 2-inch squares to create the top of the memory pieces.
We glued the two papers together and then used the Corner Chomper to round all the angles.
Finally, we used my Minc to laminate all the pieces and we cut them out.
My son was SUPER happy, he loved this memory game and he wants to play with it all the time! You can create a game with any theme you want, you can also make a memory game to teach them letters or numbers! that would be super fun!
Thanks for joining me today! I hope you like this idea and can create a fun game with your kids. Have a great day!
