Hey there lovely Pebbles fans! Terhi Koskinen here with a masculine but yet quite tender scrapbook layout.
The inspiration to create a layout like this came from my last scrapbook layout for Pebbles blog (here’s a link). I thought the stripes I last time used for journaling could be used as a fun background pattern, too. I’m usually quite neat person, so quilt-like pattern going straight vertically and horizontally felt like a fun idea!
The stripes are 1/2 inch wide and 2,5 or 1 inch tall. I cut them all first, then started to create the pattern adhering one by one with double sided tape. Usually I love adhering almost everything with 3D foam, but I thought this background needed to be flat.
There are many beautiful leaves in the Patio Party Ephemera pack, but I wanted try my personal skills and draw and cut some leaves to decorate the page. White gel pen was a clever idea to draw little details on them, now you actually see there are leaves here and there on the layout. Whilst I was having good time cutting everything, I also cut out couple of bugs. They’re looking playful and fun all around the lower part of the page. The bugs, as well as the cut out flowers, are adhered with 3D foam to build up dimension for this page.
Behind the photograph you can spy several paper layers, and that’s to build up dimension, too. The photograph of my husband and our little puppy includes brown, black and lots of green, so all those colors are repeated on the layout – with a small amount of pink too as our furry friend is she.
